Simple and helpful

I have both the UltrAir and the larger AirMax. I used the UltrAir alone at first. It is not as good without the electric stove fan at the same time, but the house gets warmer either way. The AirMax moves more air. For the space I want to heat, maybe 2 AirMax would work the best. The AirMax spins at lower temperatures, but I am not convinced the heat is significant at that point. Sometimes I start the spin early with a light touch of my hand.

Environmentally friendly.

Nothing to dislike. Amazing how much warmer having a fan going is. Two is better in my case. Love fact runs by heat of stove. We primarily in this area woodstove is source of heat I was amazed when someone doesn’t own one of these fans using electricity and fan to spread the heat. How often the electricity goes out during extremely hot days or bad weather days. It’s so nice no worries there house stays totally comfortable using only heat from stove.

It’s Helpful

The fan is high quality and it spins really fast, but it’s hard to tell how much of an effect it’s having. In principle it has to be doing something, but the amount of times I’ve stood near it trying to feel the air flow….. Maybe it should have a third blade. Or cost less. I don’t regret buying it, I’m glad it’s not made in China and I’m going to keep using it.. but I hope it’s working. Especially for the price.

The shipping packaging is absolutely horrible

You ask that we pay a premium for the original, made in Canada, fan…then you ship it in a flimsy cardboard box with NO internal packing and then place that in a Tyvek shipping envelop. The blades were bent such that they rubbed the frame, the holder/loop on top is bent. The item is metal and has naturally pointed edges, you can see holes in the cardboard from all the impacts the item endured in shipping. We’ll see how it works…it should still work, I bent things back into shape. If not, you’ll be getting it back. Come on, you can do better than this for the price!

Work well, highly recommended

Does an amazing job of evening out the warmth in the room, no more cold spots. It’s surprising such a small little fan can make such a difference. We use these in a living room and open plan kitchen and it works well in both spaces. I can’t speak to the specific energy savings only say subjectively that the room warms more quickly and evenly. The chair that usually occupies a cold spot is no longer so, and if I remove the fan from the stove it’s back to uneven warmth within ~30 mins. Your own experiences will vary. On my larger Vermont Vigilant wood stove I do have to take the fan off the stove to add more wood and am a little concerned that an accident could easily damage the propeller and it’s more likely given frequency of movement. On the Intrepid in the kitchen I can load without moving. They can be repaired in such an event which is a bonus. Other than that they are solidly constructed. From an aesthetics perspective I’m a huge fan (no pun intended), the design for me is reminiscent of the Art Deco movement and so they fit well into my home as a decorative piece too. They are a little expensive, but I recognise its the realistic price for a well designed and made item, produced by people in North America (Canada in this case), who need to earn a living wage. My personal calculus for these situations is to support businesses that I believe make a superior and durable product I will use for many years, versus consigning multiple cheaper items to landfill in a few years, and the additional environmental pollution caused by the global transportation of non-essential products and materials that can be manufactured more locally. Save the global shipping for stuff that really matters not cheap junk. I’m well pleased with my two eco fans.

Does what it is duppose to , blow 'nicely' hot air free .

Used it for my wood stove . After a week fan started to make noise " which is not suppose too " ... blows a slight gust of wind . Could warm easaly a 10x10 room with this on a very small wood stove , on a bigger stove you could warmup a bigger place and more with 2 fans .

Go with Caframo, skip the cheap knockoffs.

Great product, great packaging, instructions, everything. Looks sharp in all black on an old woodstove like a Fisher. If you've never used one before and are considering one, get Caframo, not a knockoff. What you end up saving now will likely actually cost you more in the future. My family have been using Caframo fans forever.

Nach n paar Tagen ist unser résumé, dass es in dem Raum ca 20m2, 1,5-2 C* wärmer ist. Wir heizen unser komplettes Haus nur mit einem Küchen-Holzofen. Und die Erwärmung haben wir vorher mit noch so viel Holz nicht geschafft.
