Nice looking watch, abysmal battery, not a daily tracker: short workouts only.
Wanted to love it, but the battery absolutely destroys the experience. If you turn all features off, gps, notifications, weather, EVERYTHING, you can get it to last one day. ~16 hours. No sleep tracking because you MUST charge every night. No fitness activities because when you activate any activity like running, the gps turns on and the battery dies within 1-2 hours. If the watch goes into battery saver, the workout ends. Step counting only really works during fitness activities , rest of day is super inconsistent. I walked around my yard swinging my wrist with every step just to test: I counted out to 1000 and the tracker counted 340. Hard pass. Dear Suunto: the watch looks great, but the experience needs help. I will keep my watch and change my review if the firmware can be updated to improve the step accuracy and battery life. But as is, in order to make it last one day I can't use any of the cool features I bought the watch for. Might as well have bought a fbi*t that will last 6 days and do all the same things, since I have to disable everything on suunto7 just to keep it on life support. Or maybe mine is defective. Who knows. I've now had the watch and used daily for over a year. Battery still needs to be charged every 48 hours, but I'm ok with that. Step count is still not as generous as Fitbit but again once you get into your "normal" you know whether your general trend is up or down. They've added basketball and a bunch of other activities that I actually use. But most of my use case is just walking while on work calls. I'm not sure where Suunto finds so many people that have 9 hours to spend mountain climbing every day, but I'm just a regular person trying to stay healthy and get 12k-15k steps a day around the house and neighborhood. Works fine. Plenty durable. Weather app and find my phone button are great.

Great addition to Wear OS and Suunto
I love this watch, and the battery life is exactly what I was looking for. I had the Fossil Gen 5 for my Pixel 4XL, which I loved, but the battery life was terrible to say the least, so I exchanged it, and I'm glad I did. The battery on smartwatch mode will last you your whole day and into the next day. I am not sure how long the battery lasts if you use GPS or any of the sports modes/extra features, but the website says about 12 hours. I've seen some reviews saying the battery life is poor, but I've not ran into any issues with that, you just need to make sure you don't have everything turned on, or that you're not being notified of every little thing your phone is doing. One of my issues with this watch is the HR sensor. I have a sleeve tattoo on my left arm, and the sensors won't register my HR through my tattoos. This is an issue I have faced with every smart watch I've owned, even the Apple Watch Series 5 had this issue when I tested it. The watch band is a super soft and flexible silicone that is both stylish, and comfortable. I ended up switching it out for the Suunto 7 lime green silicone athletic band, just because I like my skin to breathe a little better than the solid silicone allows. There are not many stock watch faces for the Suunto 7 (I think 5), but you have the option to download non-Suunto watch faces from the Google Play Store. Suunto warns these will work, but only Suunto watch faces have been optimized for the Suunto 7. I will say, though, the Heat Map watch face on the Suunto 7 is my favorite watch face of any smart watch I've tried. This watch is pricey, and on par with the Gen 5, but with added sports features, better water protection, and a way better battery life. I don't regret my purchase at all, and I highly recommend the Suunto 7 if your budget allows.

I wanted to love the Suunto 7…
As an industrial athlete, I planned to use the newly delivered Suunto 7 for fitness and adventure tracking. I’ve used other watches, but was excited to check out the 7 because of the outdoor reputation of this Finnish company. I’ve gotta say my first impression was “Wow”! Right out of the box, the quality and design excellence were evident. This watch was the black metal version with the black and yellow band. The watch had a good heft to it but was light enough not to be bothersome for trail running and mountain biking. It had a rugged appeal, yet looked high quality and sophisticated enough to wear out on social occasions if paired with a nice leather watchband. The AMOLED touch screen was big and bright and high-resolution. The fitness tracking features were bright, customizable and easy to read while working out or on a trail ride. I loved the customizable display! The provided watch band was thick yet flexible and just added to the overall perception of quality. I also loved the easy changeability of the watchband. During mountain biking, weigh-lifting and rowing sessions, I found the fitness tracking to be accurate (while wearing another device for comparison) with the heart rate, GPS breadcrumbs and altimeter being equal to or better than other products. These impressions were in comparison to high-end Garmin Fenix and Cascio Pro-Tek products to the budget-level T-Rex Pro from Amazfit. Like I said, right from the beginning, I loved the watch, but… the battery… BARELY lasted through 1 day… even after a full charge! On day 1, I used the GPS, which really depleted the battery while I was off-grid in the mountains during a 1 hour mountain bike ride. If I’d been on a whole day or half-day trip, the watch wouldn’t have lasted. Mind you, on day 2, I only had one weight-lifting and rowing session (with no GPS function used) and the watch went from 100% in the morning, down to single digit percentage by the end of the day. I used no other smartwatch features during this time other than notifications. Even loving everything else about the watch, I can’t rely upon a watch that I will have to charge throughout the day. It’s just unacceptable. I would think my Suunto 7 was defective; however, I’ve seen that others also commented on the battery life — so I’ll just call this a “design flaw”. I also found that downloading the Suunto app, the Google WearOS app, AND the Google Fit app was a bit cumbersome in the complexity, but I was willing to put up with it due to my good impressions of accuracy, design and quality. If Suunto could put out the same watch with an improved battery life, it would be a ROCK STAR. As it is and regretfully, the extremely poor battery life caused me to have to return it. Sorry Suunto!

Awesome watch!
The watch is absolutely awesome and looks great. I was debating between the Suunto 7 and the Garmin Fenix and I have to say that I'm very happy overall with the look and feel. Also the battery is not too bad contrary to a lot of comments I've seen. It will generally last 2 days without requiring a charge.

Awesome Smart watch
I am in love with this amazing smart watch. I went through a lot of reviews and ofcourse was well aware of its cons. Features: Touch screen, amazing display, app notifications, gps, heart rate tracker, Bluetooth, wifi, (Spotify & Telegram can be installed), find Phone, torch, etc.. Cons: Battery stand up time is less, however this is known for wear os watches. With recent updates there are ways to enhance battery backup. Currently Amazon music or whatsapp cannot be installed in watch. However you can respond to whatsapp notifications and can control Amazon music through Bluetooth from phone. To download music on watch, you may need use Spotify. External heart rate belt can not be synced with watch. May be in future, a software update might solve this issue. If you are looking for long battery life and proper sports watch then GARMIN is THE ONE. Despite all Suunto 7 is a great smart watch.

Perfect fit for a woman that looks for a nice Android watch
After purchasing and returning an Apple Watch SE (can only me configure with an iPhone), I ordered this watch for my wife. She just love it. The style is bigger than the Apple Watch but she love it. The connection with his A51 phone was easy and smooth with WearOS and Suunto app for the stats. Of course you need to set up the watch properly so it can last more than a day with battery. This one got wifi, Bluetooth and much more. The colors are awesome and the GPS works great. I recommend this watch. A+

Battery
This watch has very low battery backup. In Gps mode (accuracy low ) on full charge the watch only lasts about 5-6 hours . And on full accuracy only about 4 n half hours. This is not idle watch for outdoor activities like long hiking and triathlon . I was a huge fan of suunto until I brought one !

Versatile et complet.
The media could not be loaded. Très versatile et encourage à faire plus d'activités sportives et d'exercice. Grâce à l'application suunto les suivis d'activités sont très complets, et nous encourage à en faire plus. Contient également toutes les fonctionnalités Google wear os. Très bonne autonomie de la pile, un peu plus de deux jours en mode connecté complet.
