Line up locking bolt
Make sure you line up big locking bolt before you drill mounting holes , there’s a little wiggle room to go left and right but not much , also the lock you chose, has to have a smaller diameter to fit threaded bolt

Solid mounting brackets...
These are solid universal mounting brackets for the hi-lift jack. I used them to mount the jack inside my truck bed over my wheel well using the supplied hardware and some nutserts. The mount allowed the jack to be secured with a lock too. My only complaint is that I wish lock washers for the 1/4" bolts were included with the kit.

Take your time to install, if you do it will be great.
The media could not be loaded. Holds very well and tight! If you use the nuts that come with it instead of rivnuts I'd use some locktight, any kind will work. Listen to my vid. for a huge mounting tip instead of measuring.

It's a 5 Star Now
I used this mounting kit to mount my Hi-Lift 48 inch jack onto the rear stock bumper of my 2001 Jeep Wrangler and it fits and looks great with no problems. I gave it 4 stars because it had two features that I fixed and improved so now it is 5 Stars! The first change was to eliminate the jam nuts from the 1/2 inch carriage bolts because they prevent the jack bar from making a good flush fit against the mounting brackets. So instead of using the jam nuts I cross drilled an 1/8 inch hole in the outer edge of the square shank of the carriage bolts and used a cotter key for retention of the carriage bolt instead of the jam nut. This way the jack bar fits flush against the mounting brackets for a snug fit. The second change was to get rid of those two 3/4 inch locking washers that go on the carriage bolts under the wing nuts. They do a severe and unnecessary amount of damage to both the bracket and the wing nut, a terrible overkill just to retain the wing nut from backing out. I replaced the 3/4 inch lock washers with two plain 1/2 inch flat washers. This brings the wing nuts out far enough on the ends of the carriage bolts so that a lynch pin put through the hole at the end of the carriage bolt will retain the wing nut from backing out any more than 1/2 of a turn. A paddle lock in this hole will also work the same. So now with those two fixes, I have a 5-STAR rating on this product.

Mounted on 2008 Chevy Silverado front bumper.
I mounted this on my 2008 Chevy Silverado front bumper. Since the Silverado bumper isn't flat and the bolts are a little cock-eyed once mounted, I took a sledge hammer and straightened the 1/2 bolts that hold the actual jack in place. You have to hammer the bolts with the wing nuts on so you don't damage the threads. Try not to hit the threads. They're solid. The jack doesn't move. Makes a nice platform for standing (on the jack) if you want to do some maintenance/work on your engine. I thought about mounting these on the hood but decided against it. Where it's mounted has multiple pluses. One of those being that all my work is in the city and there is very tight parking. Cars are always bumping me when they parallel park. With the high lift mounted to the truck bumper, now they'll think twice about bumping me. I have a 6 inch lift and the height of where this is mounted and how far it sticks out is right about trunk level on most cars. It puts a smile on my face thinking about people parallel parking in front of me and trying to do the bump and this puts a nice dent on their trunk. On the rear I have a pintle hitch attached. No one has bumped my rear bumper ever since I put it on. Now I'm protected from jackasses on both ends. :) We'll see how it holds up when I drive across the country, through Baja California and the deserts of the Southwest for a month in August. Will post a follow up.

Heavy duty means HEAVY DUTY.
It DID come late but I'm not complaining because this is the secure HiLift mount you need. Be warned the mounts are larger than most but for good reason. I run a Voodoo Fabrication rack which is a solid steel full size rack with a CVT full size tent on a 2017 Tacoma WITH a bed cover. This was one of the few rack systems that allowed the use of a cover with a rack so my options were limited. The rack itself is very modular but the mounts were so large I had to custom fabricate (drill 8 holes and make a rear mounting plate) the mount to work with the rack. It sets the HiLift off of the rack just enough to clear the CVT tent cover when it comes off which is perfect because it allows me to roll up the cover and tuck it in between the HiLift and the rack so it won't catch snow/rain/dirt etc. It does fit close enough that my mirror is still sticking out farther than the HiLift (which is what I wanted) Short review: buy, but be aware it is a large mount. I can actually hang on it and I'm 165lbs. Bonus: there are precut holes for a decent size lock to secure it to the post and its quick access on and off. Oh, lastly (I never write long reviews haha) I am OCD about rattling: there is ZERO rattle when plowing through washboard roads.

Great bracket
Great bracket and very easy to install. Heavy duty bracket with all the nuts and bolts. Can be installed on any flat surface. I was able to install my Hi Lift in front of my small camper. Now it's out of the way and easy to get to if needed. Two heavy duty bolts come with a hole for a small lock, to keep honest people honest.

Works great on roof rack
Brackets are heavy duty, everything you need to install is included. I mounted the brackets on my roof rack, sturdy hold and I haven't had any issues with it so far.

Works very well
I’m really satisfied with this mount. It’s simple and clean. I would definitely recommend it. Installed in under 45 minutes. I mounted it to my trucks tool box. I would recommend a backing plate if your putting it on thin material like my tool box.

Sucks having to drill holes in your truck...
Holds it up, but the drilling sucks. Wish o got something that mounts to the box rails instead.
