Does all I need it to do.
I've always used a similar product that came in a can with a brush. The brush is convenient, but its a smaller can with a higher price tag. Tanglefoot is an easier product to work with as it spreads much easier than what I used before. I plan to put what I have left into the old can, with the brush, to make using it more convenient.

Happy Trees
Product is great. Cleans up with water. Who knew? It works. I actually used a paint brush even tho it is thick it works great. You can thin it with water if it becomes unworkable. It drys and seals the wound or pruning. This stuff works. I like it. 5 blackened fingers straight up

Works well, easy to able
Works well, easy to able, consistency is like thick spackle so a putty knife easiest way to apply. Helped fill a couple of holes in nice flowering tree.

works great
goes on easy, and kinda sets up nice too. I just wish the lid was screw on instead of a pop-off like a paint can. it’s a complete pain in the ass that way, but the product is great.

Enough for a small orchardist.
Works well. It is enough for several lifetimes for a largish backyard with just a few fruit trees.

This concoction saved our weeping willow...
The deer apparently like to eat weeping willow bark. One day the bark was there. The next I see about a two-foot wound where the deer have had their snack. The wound goes almost around the entire circumference of the tree. I consult our neighbor, a tree expert of sorts, and he says it is doomed. There is nothing to do. It will not survive another season. I should order another for spring planting. In a last-ditch effort not to have to replace the tree, I buy Tanglefoot Tree Wound Pruning Sealer from a traveling salesman pitching curative ointments and potions of all ilks for trees and people. It is expensive. I apply it generously to the tree and wrap it to protect it from any other bark lovers. The winter was cold and harsh and I am sure the tree is done for. However, the snow melts and the sun warms. I get up one day and see buds on the tree. Amazing. Maybe this is how a tree dies, trying to stay alive. The spring continues and more buds come out. The tree is in bud. There seems to be no weakness. This doesn't seem to be the death spiral I was thinking is going to happen. The tree is out. It is healthy. It is growing. There can only be one explanation as far as I'm concerned and that is Tanglefoot Tree Wound Pruning Sealer. It is an excellent and miraculous potion.

Easy to apply
I had been using pine tar previously to trying this for yellow belly sapsucker damage to my birch trees. It spreads nicely and dries firmly. Don’t get on your clothes -hard if not impossible to get out.

Works as advertized
I used it to seal a crack in the bark of on old beech tree. Consistency was excellent, easy to spread but not runny. Just purchased it, so have to see how product stands up to weather over time

good product
Product is quite messy to work with, so wear old clothes, etc. I think the label should note that it stains quite badly and to avoid getting it on anything. There are instructions on how to get it off your tools and hands, at least.

Excellent product
A big branch in my backyard was broken by a storm, in order to make a balance of tree I trimmed some big branches in the opposite, then I applied the Tanglefoot to cover the tree wound, a few hours later there was a heavy rain, at at the moment the tree wounds look good, I am satisfied with the bought. Excellent product.
