S/S Sifter
This is identical to the sifter we had when I was growing up. On weekend mornings, we usually had French Toast or pancakes/waffles for breakfast. We used this sifter to put powdered sugar on the French Toast. This one works as well as the "original" that I remember.

A bit athletic for me, but worth keeping.
This is a size most useful, with a slight funnel aperture below so I don't let flour and sugar fly all over the place. However, it is so sturdy, and the mechanism so tight to flex, that my old hands aren't guaranteed to work straight through without taking rest breaks. Still better constructed than most, durable, and easy to clean, so I'm glad I have it.

Perfect for dusting powdered sugar!
The two sizes of screen accommodate all kinds of powdered sugars, and you can accurately apply the product amount. Rarely need cleaning but top rack dishwasher works great.

Easier on your hands
All the new sifters have a vertical handle that takes more effort to use especially if you have hand issues, this is old school. If you have arthritis you may find this easier to use. My mom of 80+ years sure does. This squeezes with your thumb, not your 4 fingers.

It works
It really gives your arm a workout, but it does work. A crank arl operated device might be less of a strain...

Nice…
The item is high-quality and small enough to fit in a drawer. If you don’t use a sifter often, like me, this is perfect.

Let's not get crazy over washing sifters
This triple sifter is exactly what I wanted as my mom had one of these that worked for everything. I have tried the the winding ones, and they do not do a very good job with powdered sugar. The little clumps of sugar pop out of the top of them when sifting. and the smaller pieces don't go through. So I've opted to purchase one of this type. Some folks seem to have an issue with the fact that they can't clean out any ingredients left between the screens of a triple sifter. It has always been my understanding that all sifters don't need to be washed. Anything left behind is dry and won't spoil, and it isn't enough to make a difference in any future baking. So you just seal it in a plastic bag for the next time without washing. This means rust is not a problem either. That's what my mom did, and I'm still alive. I have a masters in public health from Columbia University, and I assure you this is not a health issue but an OCD issue with unnecessary cleaning! I am planning to dedicate this new sifter to just powdered sugar as I use it a lot, and I have the other kind for flour etc. I rarely wash it either. I'm only going to give this sifter 4 stars as longevity seems to be an issue for all sifters these days, and I haven't had a chance to put this into use yet. One other issue with sifters is posted in the reviews. I'm 66 and an experienced baker. Never in my 66 years have I seen seen a recipe calling for sifted brown sugar. I agree with those who say it gets packed. If it is dry, hard and lumpy just pop it into the microwave for a few seconds and it softens. Whoever had that problem may either be mis-reading the recipe or just having a problem with stored brown sugar getting hard. Who doesn't?

It's okay.
Works pretty good. I think I read in another review that the last of the icing sugar or flour that you are sifting gets caught between the two screens at the bottom and therefore the sifting cup is hard to fully empty, and I did find this as well. There was a lot of banging it on the top of the bowl, and flipping the cup over (and thereby defeating the purpose of using a sifyer), just to get it empty. It does seem to hold up well through the dishwasher though, and that was the primary reason that I had ordered the stainless steel sifter.

WARNING !!! DON'T BUY !!!
ATTENTION BUYERS !!! Don't buy this product ! Very, very, very ...poor quality. The stainless steel is very thin and prone to get damaged on usage. It will be a total waste of money, the best mesh for flour or atta is to use any Indian product. I'm uploading the picture for all buyers to see. Yes, another pointer: Don't buy the product from this seller "IBHEJO" , their packaging is hopeless and very un-professional. Customers please don't fall into trouble, this is my advice. Please buy products from Amazon fulfilled or a trusted and better rated seller.

Very nice addition to my kitchen
I've used this a few times now. It seems well made and the sifting is very fast and easy. It says it can go in the dishwasher but I've only ever washed it by hand. Very easy to clean that way.

BARELY SIFTS
If you have nothing to do for the day, you can sift flour and have your hands cramp up. I just used this for the first time and was excited to not use a regular metal strainer (so messy, time-consuming). I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I put one cup of flour in and started squeezing. Hardly any flour was coming out. The problem is the internal "wheel". It does not spin a complete circle (maybe a quarter circle back and forth) so a lot of the flour is not being sifted. Also, the pull lever does not return to its original position when released. It's partly defective, and just poorly designed. I got more flour coming out when I was banging the side! What a waste of money. Stick to the old-fashioned kind with the hand crank.
