An effective alternative to sifters that rust

I like the ease of cleaning and the ability to rest the sifter on the edge of a bowl. Most sifters are made from material that wears down the finish and rusts. That is not an issue with this product. If you have a lot of sifting, however, your hand can ache from the repetitive squeezing motion.

Cuisipro Scoop and Sift Flour Sifter

This is a great little sifter! It is so easy to scoop the contents up from a container and it is in the sifter. No pouring or trying to fill the sifter and creating a mess! The only downside is that if you fill the sifter too full and put it on the side of the bowl or if it is uneven, some of the unsifted contents will spill out. It is so easy to clean too! The sifter is not very large, so you can only sift about 1-2 cups at a time. I would highly recommend this for a new cook or if children are going to be helping out with the cooking process! It does a good job on powdered sugar too!

Great little sifter

I don't know why I waited so long to purchase a smaller sifter (I have a huge stainless steel sifter, which is just too big for most of the sifting that I do.) This little sifter is great for sifting flour. I measure the flour before I put it into the sifter and it really takes less than 3 cups. Found that sifting two cups at a time works the best for me. Clean up is easy - just was and dry it, then let it sit in the dish drainer to make sure it is nice and dry. Then put it away until your next use. Doesn't take up much space, like my other big sifter does. Great sifter, great price -- what more can I say!

The scoop on the Cuisipro Scoop

This sifter is well made. But you don't want to scoop up too much at once or it will kick the unsifted four out the top. Also it is best for finer flours. And if you have pain in you hands like me I would not recommend. Other wise if you are very active in the kitchen and need something that will work quickly this is a nice item to have.

Sifts Well

I like that it sifts well. I just have to shake it to get the rest of the flour to the screen.

Simple to use, simple to store, no rust

I threw away my last sifter because it got all rusty. I was looking for something plastic that might last longer without having to clean off rust. Although I have only used this product once so far, it seems to do the job. It doesn't take up too much space in my cabinet which I love too!

Watch out for the flour sifting out of the top of this, but it is erogonimically great comfort for anyone with carpel tunnel

I have tendonitis flair ups, which is similar to carpel tunnel. This sifter is easy on the hand, no doubt. Yet if I could make a suggestion to the manufacturer, I would suggest some kind of guard or removable lip for the top, to keep the flour secure as you are sifting. it tends to sift out at the opening.

Highly recommended if you use large bags of flour

I bake quite a lot of bread so I buy my flour in 25 Kg sacks. I scoop the flour from the sack and then repeatedly pull the trigger on the handle which forces the flour through the sieve, sifting it well. Two scoops is enough for a loaf. However, it is too big to scoop from a normal bag of flour. It is designed to hang over the side of a mixing bowl so that flour can be poured into it prior to sifting, but then so is a standard sieve so I would recommend buying this only if you use large bags of flour.

Love this so much, I bought a second one!

Absolutely love this sifter. It stands while filling and is easy to sift into my stand mixer. I have carpal tunnel, so thats important to me. Other sifters I've tried get jambed, but this one does not. Not too difficult to clean, I'm sure easier in the dishwasher but I want to keep it nice. Love it so much, I bought one for the cottage too!
