Good size pie plates like my grandmothers.

I broke one of my grandmothers pie plates so I picked this plate to replace the one I broke. It is the same quality and size as my grandmothers. Very happy with this purchase.

Did anyone get 2?

I only got one. Should be two libbeys and it did come in a libbey shipment box so I don’t understand. I would of kept it cause I want to use it immediately but it also came a little scratched on the handle. I thought it was dust and dirt so I washed it but it’s just like someone clawed it a bunch so that’s weird. I’ll just keep the $15 Pyrex one it doesn’t have handles but it’s already been delivered so it wins. Maybe I’ll buy this again in the future because it’s very nice. & two for 25 is not bad!

Perfect deep dish size for my baking style

These pie plates are sturdy and just the right size for the way I bake. I'm a moderate home baker, who only makes pies occasionally. My pumpkin pies begin with canned pumpkin (& fruit/berry pies generally begin with canned fruit/berries). They all call for a 9" deep dish pie plate, not an easy item to find. And because I can never make a good pie crust, I use premade store brand pie crusts (rolled up in a long, slender box, and taste and flake better than than the nationally known brand), which are for no bigger than a 9" deep dish plate. The 9.5" pie plates that I bought several years ago were all I could find in the stores, and they've always been too big for both the premade pie crusts and the final mixture to fill the pies. Now I have the right size!

Great pie plates and an excellent value

I was doing a bit of baking for a big family dinner and wanted either glass or stoneware pie pans for aesthetics as much as conductivity and evenness of cooking. I have always been a bit wary of glass pie pans because of the very slight chance glass can shatter due to sudden temperature changes. I bought these after I read mixed reviews about other glass pie pans. These pies are very dense (aka heavy) and cook very evenly. Because of how thick the pans are, I no longer have a fear of easily breaking them. I made a few different pies in the pans and the different types, with both single and double crusts, turned out very well. I have had no problems with the glass and have transferred directly from the oven to a wire rack or stove top for cooling. The other selling point to these pans is that they are very reasonably priced compared to similar products on Amazon. Some pie pans alone sell for nearly double what I paid for two pans. For the quality of the glassware, you can't beat the price.

Has good handles

I ordered these because they have handles that make it so much easier to remove from the oven without getting the pot holder in the food item. I did notice my pot holder tended to slide on the handle, so I was careful when removing the pie plate from the oven. The pie plate are sturdy and deeper than my old one.

These are fabulous pie plates. I use them for quiche primarily, but have also made casseroles in them. They are great for pecan pies since the hot liquid state of the filling when it first comes out of the oven can be treacherous. Glad to have such a sturdy dish. They are much heavier than I'd expected. which is a bit of a problem for me since I have arthritis in my wrists and fingers, but I manage. If you have that problem, heads up. I usually ask someone else to put them in and out of oven.

Se aprecia de buen material

Aún no lo utilizo para hornear pero el vidrio se aprecia de buena calidad y robusto. Sin embargo encontré el mismo modelo en Waldos y está considerablemente más barato.

La descripción es errónea

La descripción indica una profundidad de 4.9 cm y tiene 4 cm es el típico molde de pay que encuentras en cualquier lado, si son de México en Waldo’s los tienen en $64 pesos cada uno (misma marca) ya inicié la devolución
