Pie weight
I would like it to go up the sides of the pie plate a little bit more, but other than that it’s great!

Could Be Larger
In a standard 9 inch pie plate, this falls short of the goal of retaining the edges of the crust. Otherwise, a great product. Just falls short, literally and figuratively.

Use parchment under it
I read alot about this sticking in the crust. I like the convenience of not having to mess with balls. Simply crunch up some parchment then smooth out and place under this and viola no sticking.

Slices pie crust around edges.
Like other reviewers, my pie crust was severed around the top edges of the weight. Not sure how you’d remove it without that happening. And it did leave my pie crust (which I was just pre-baking a bit before adding filling and top crust) at a few different levels of done-ness (I used a pie shield too around the top). I saw someone who suggested using parchment paper between the weight and the crust, so I will try that before giving up completely. It was definitely a disappointment - I rarely have luck with traditional pie weights keeping my top edges from sinking down, and this seemed to do the trick other than the slicing issue. UPDATE: Added a second picture - I used it the second time with parchment between it and the crust, and I just ended up with cracks in different locations instead of at the rim. The middle overcooked (under the metal) while it was still a little raw where the bottom meets the sides (under the silicone). Still not a winner for me. Note that both times I’ve tried this were with different store-brand doughs, so I will try it once more with a homemade pastry dough, but I’m definitely not feeling the magic of this tool despite my keen desire for it to work. Also FYI the first time I used an Emile Henry ceramic pie dish, and the second time a little smaller Le Creuset ceramic pie dish, so both times high-quality bakeware that usually result in beautiful pies.

I really like it
I was hesitant to purchase this product after reading some of the reviews stating that the weight was difficult to get out of the crust without cracking it. I found just the opposite to be true, it worked perfectly and I’m very pleased with the results. I can’t wait to try it again.

Love this!
I’ve used this a few times now, with great success. The pie crust sides stay where they should be. It is easy to clean. No more ceramic pie weights or beaded chains for me!

Not really big enough, only held down the very center of pie crust... flaps need to be twice as long

Good but….
I really liked the whole premise of the product but there was a definite sogginess where the item pushed down on the crust. I use an egg wash on the bottom of the crust to reduce the wetness of the pie after being cut. I’m sure it would be great without the egg wash.
