Very Comfy But Shorter Than Expected

I ordered this chair to replace the one I have had for nearly a decade. As such, my rating was determined by comparing these two chairs to each other. I loved my last chair. It was extremely comfy (until the cushion gave out after so many years) and extremely sturdy (the armrests were actually metal). Let me start with what I like about this new Serta chair. It is very very comfy. Possibly more so than my previous chair. I am also very happy that I was able to find a chair like this that wasn't made with leather. Unfortunately, it seems to be difficult to find chairs made with real metal. The arms on this Serta chair do seem to be made with a very sturdy plastic. Time will tell if they hold up. I do a lot of gaming and I tend to squirm and sit in every-changing which often puts pressure on the armrests. The old chair withstood a lot of abuse and has held up great. Hopefully this chair will do the same. The real reason I took away a star, however, is simply because of the size. The back rest is a lot smaller than I expected. Now that may be my fault for not paying attention to the dimensions, but honestly, I figured my old chair was a pretty standard size for office chairs. Its to soon to tell how this will affect me over longer periods of time, but again, time will tell. At the end of the day, I needed a new chair that was good looking and comfy and this chair is both of those things. The price seems reasonable for office chairs so overall, I am happy. Hopefully this helps others in making their decision.

Nice chair, but quality could improve.....

I just received this chair today. I think it is a great value for the money, and the size and shape are perfect. Being a short male, I like the seat cushion depth and tapered seat back. However, the quality could be better. Two items of concern: the arm sides are spray painted silver plastic, and mine have numerous small scratches in the paint. Secondly, when bolting the right side arm rest to the seat cushion, the side arm had a defective bolt hole (with excessive molded plastic in the bolt hole), that required that I drill out the excessive plastic to create a clear path for the attachment screw. This indicated poor quality control at the generic Chinese chair factory.....This is not what I expect from a Serta brand product....Not a problem for me, but for the average Mom or student assembling this chair, it would be a major impediment.....

Small work chair for little people

Its OK for work environment, office. If for home use don't fall asleep in it, because if you do you and neck falls back behind you. You will wake up looking at the floor with a neck 4 feet long. PAINFUL!! I going to order the "BIG BOY CHAIR" next time.

Super comfortable, sturdy, well made.

Used on my office, excellent comfort and stability, easy to assemble. Only concern is: material looks likely to fray and look worn relatively soon, on arms. But I'd still order it again, many times over.

Not directly serviced by setera , they will send you to their supplier. That will take ages to mail you parts. Worst packing, I wonder how many times they lose parts for the item shipped. And when the replacement comes it might be for some other chair, a bolt got stuck for me. Hate the whole process of asking for missing parts.

Very comfy!

As someone who is 5'2". I was hesitant to order this chair. However, I am glad I did, as it is comfortable and supportive. When using it to talk to people in my office, I am able to adjust the height perfectly in order for my feet to rest on the ground with my knees at the right angle. I do need booster pillow when working at my computer, but that is because of the height of the table, not due to the chair.

Basically garbage

I recieved one without any screws, and the height adjustment did not work, and it just doesn't look good in person. I recommend looking elsewhere for your chair.
