Cheaply made
Bought this for my grandson for a gift. It is very cheaply made. Looks like something that you would win from one of those quarter grab machines. Packaged cheaply as well. I took it out of the plastic wrapping & placed it in a jewelry gift box to help dress it up. I was a little embarrassed to give it so I added another gift with it to help his gift match the other grandchildren.

Wasn’t great
Wasn’t expecting too much for the price.Sometimes it was accurate and sometimes not. I ended up sending it back. Really liked the small size and wrist band.

Fairly well-built and functional, accurate, but surprisingly slow
This is built well enough to carry in a pocket, even though the model that I bought is made out of plastic. It has a metal latch and glass (or glass-like) screen, though. It folds up easily and has a metal clamp, but don't hope for a case. The screen is easy to read, and I like the pop-up magnifying glass with a notch at the top center. The lines also help, so I can read the numbers and know the direction very well. The only problem is that it is very slow to respond for reading the heading (direction). If you make a turn or rotate the compass, for example, it will take a minute or two to get that settled. With time and patience, it is a good budget option. If you can spend a few more dollars for something better, that is worth a thought.

Pretty Good Backup
I have only used the compass once so far for a half day navigation exercise but it was in sub zero temperatures on snow shoes through the woods. It works pretty well for what it is and for the price. I would never try to use it as a primary navigation tool but as a backup device and for quickly checking confirming the general direction it actually works pretty well. I wouldn't pay much for this wrist compass. It has a filmsy and horribly cheap wrist band and it is not designed for longevity or hard use but for what it is and under $10 it serves a purpose. 4 stars.

A lot more expensive than buying one from China on eBay (but I read they are more often than not demagnetized by the time they arrive), but had this a few months now and it's good. On my wrist every day (I removed the Velcro and attached it to my G-Shock) and it's still points to North (I check it off my phone and a large compass). It may be ever so slightly out, but it will still take you in the right direction. I figure this is more down to the size than a magnetization issue.

Comman MANS COMPASS
ordered Sunday afternoon/arrived Thursday evening. All emails by Amazon recieved & collected by myself on time. PLEASED ALL ROUND, searched online retails high & low..... compared2 the others of the same shape & design/price .No instructions included in the package -the 1star. Well described and displayed by Amazon. It's the more the size of 50p piece. Tougher outer case, it,s more of a secondery & third compass,(most button compass, either useless or over priced 4 the item)working clearly and correctly as expected.
