10/10, Forever plugging AKRacing.

I love this chair. I read a lot of reviews and it seemed like worse case scenario, I have an "okay" gaming chair that I spent too much on. So with that being said, my expectations were that its likely above being just "okay." Once I got the chair and started pulling the pieces out of the box, I quickly realized - this chair is badass. The Allen drive cap screws are deeply recessed and they just look awesome right out the gate. I guess its a pretty dumb thing to look at a screw and think "damn, this looks cool," but they are nice screws. This comes with some nice gloves to wear while you build it, which I appreciated because I always seemed to get some grease on my hands from the gas canisters when building other chairs. The gloves looked clean when I was finished though so i'm not even sure if the gloves were necessary; but it gets some points. Originally I felt like the upholstery looked cheap in the photos but in person it just looks clean. Its very smooth to the touch and looks really good. I put it all together in about 15m making sure I just did everything how the build sheet called for it to be done. I did see someone said they needed help and with how its directed in the build sheet you definitely don't need any help. I didn't see any imperfections in the upholstery and I was actively looking for them. Surprisingly, the chair slides under my desk. Usually the arms are too high and I just choose to take the arms off outright but this time i'll be keeping them on. The lumbar, and head pillow feel great, especially when you lay back in the chair; I'll be taking some naps on this for sure. In the end, this feels worth the price and I'm glad I ignored some of the negative reviews and took a chance. TLDR Its worth it.

Nice chair but the arm rests don't last

I have had (3) of these chairs. And the arm mechanism is the first thing to go. I'm talking about the top portion that rotates and goes forward and backward. I took one apart which by the way is very difficult as it was never meant to be disassembled. It's just a bad design on how the connection of the armrest top connects to the arm leading to the chair. The chair will only last about 3-5 years.

bettr than expected after a yr

Its a meh product. I work 9-5 at home at the moment, so am sitting on it for a good 8hrs or so. Have had it for a few weeks now. Nothing spectacular about the chair. Not as comfy as I presumed. The images rly portray a memory foam, sitting on clouds type feel, however this is not the case. I am in the process of looking for a seat cushion to help alleviate the butt soreness. Not worth the 300$ if you ask me. If it wasn’t for the extreme hassle of shipping back the massive box, I woulda returned it. I don’t see much difference between this and the other 100$ gaming chairs..get urself a 100$ gaming chair and a nice cushion, call it a day. After 1 year review: Mentioned before the comfortness but after sitting on it daily for about a year, it’s not as bad as it was initially. Adjust height appropriately and the uncomfortableness is not an isssue anymore. What makes this stand out for me after a year is the quality. Far exceeds the 100$ chairs by miles. I purchased a cheaper chair for my daughter’s room and the difference is night and day. I would go ahead and purchase this chair again given the chance. No rips or issues with reclining the chair.

Make note of the width! The maximum weight is a useless number.

I heard so many good things about the AKRacing chairs. To be honest it feels like it would be extremely comfortable. My major gripe; why list the maximum weight if you aren’t going to make a chair big enough to come anywhere close to that? I’m 6’2” 250lb and I ordered this because it says maximum weight 330. I figure this is good and will fit me! WRONG! The seat is extremely narrow. I can’t imagine a 200 lb person sitting in this comfortably let alone someone who is 330lb. Really disappointed because assume I send it back I have to take the whole damn thing apart. This is my first true gaming chair so I guess I live and learn just like the rest of life! UPDATE: While this particular chair was not right I DID return it an purchase the AKRacing Masters Series Max Gaming Chair with Wide Flat Seat. THIS one is the best chair I’ve ever sat in. My advice is if you want room and don’t need to feel snug then get this one instead!!

Not Just for Gamers!

I work from home at my computer all day. My previous chair was killing my back (standard style office chair), so one day I "borrowed" my husband's gaming AKRacing chair to work in while he was out. LOVE at first sit. A day later, I ordered my own and my back has never been happier. The lumbar support pad is amazing, and I love how adjustable the chair is to meet my needs.

Great quality

We bought this a few months ago and we absolutely love it! My husband was able to assemble it without my help (and that's saying something!) and it's very sturdy. I'm around 315lbs and it doesn't seem to be under any strain with me sitting in it - no creaking, popping, or other excess noise; it doesn't lower on its own like lightweight office chairs. The recline function in nice and just about everything on it adjusts. If I could change anything on it if like for the armrests to come up higher or the head/neck support pillow to be able to sit lower, but these are very minor wishes. Overall the chair is extremely comfortable and feels very sturdy. I have no doubt it will last a long time.

A GREAT QUALITY PRODUCT !

Where to begin ? I’m completely bowled over by this chair, which was delivered in under 48 hours ! The first thing that strikes you on opening the box is the care that’s been taken to wrap and pack each component to avoid damage in transit, and very effectively ! Next thing of note is the quality of manufacture, which seems top notch, and the various parts fit together perfectly, with none of the misaligned screw holes, missing bits or other shortcomings one so often reads about in reviews. The (picture only) instructions are easy enough to follow, even if not quite every step is explicitly spelt out, and I encountered no problems in the half hour or so it took me to assemble the chair, without assistance. As a customer usually not easy to please, after investing many hours in researching these chairs online, (and finding many out of stock), I have to say I feel well gratified by my choice, and this chair is every bit as pleasing on the eye as it is comfortable to sit in ! For me, (168 cm tall and 76 kilo weight) there’s ample adjustment in the angles and height of the back and armrests. The seat and back I’d describe as on the firm side but still supremely comfortable. The adjustable / detachable lumper support I also find comfortable to use, - the neck / head pillow rather less so, but it will be a case of what best suits individual users. The artificial leather has a classy matt rather than shiny appearance, doesn’t feel especially cold to the touch, and comes with attractive contrasting stitching, Important to note that AK Racing offer a range of chairs designed for users of different height and weight, hence a need to check this out on their website before ordering. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend !

Keine Rückenschmerzen aber der Stuhl hat ein Eigenleben

Also erstmal das Positive: Der Stuhl ist unheimlich bequem und lädt sich kinderleicht auf die persönlichen Vorlieben einstellen. Da ich derzeit durch Homeoffice viel auf meinem Bürostuhl sitze (7-10 Stunden am Tag) hatte ich bei meinem alten Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen Bürostuhl täglich mit Rückenschmerzen zu kämpfen. Dieses Problem hat sich zwei Tage nach der Anlieferung meines „Neuen“ in Luft aufgelöst. ???? Einziger Kritikpunkt Der Stuhl wirft einen runter ????, er fällt um und auf den „ehemaligen Besitzer“ drauf - d. h. er rutscht einem sozusagen unter dem Po weg, wenn man auf der Sitzfläche zu weit nach vorne rutscht. Ist mir gestern das zweite Mal passiert, weil ich mich nach vorne gebeugt habe um den Papierkorb näher zu ziehen. Ich hab in meinem Leben schon auf vielen ähnlichen Stühlen gesessen, aber die Angewohnheit mich abzuwerfen wie ein Wildpferd hatte bisher keiner ????

Good chair, but arrives covered in industrial lubricant and smelly

The chair fits well, nice support, solid construction etc. Unfortunately they couldn't be bothered to clean up the parts before shipping them out. All parts are covered in a coating of industrial powder-based lubricant (likely MoS2, which has small particles which can easily get in your eyes and cause eye damage over time). Surprisingly, they seem to be aware of the issue, as the chair shipped with a pair of small white gloves (for keeping from getting greasy when building the chair?). After a week of letting the chair air out and several cleanings it is no longer greasy to the touch, but it still smells pretty strongly of fumes. Everything that came into close contact with the chair during the first week is now greasy to the touch, including the floor. I hope that there are no lasting health effects from having so much of this industrial lubricant in the house over time. A tip to the manufacturer: If you have to provide a pair of gloves then maybe you should spend a bit more effort cleaning the chair before shipping it out.

Also die allgemeine Qualität ist gut. Schönes, sich angenehm anfühlendes Kunstleder. Allerdings billige Plastik-Armlehnen (die man aber gewöhnt) und ein etwas unangenehmes metallisches Geräusch der Räder beim Metalldrehkreuz, beim gröberen Bewegen des Sessels (das man aber irgendwann ausblendet). Mich stört, dass ich mit meinen 172cm wirklich weit runterfahren muss, damit ich die Füßchen auf den Boden bekomme. Die Sitzfläche ist lange und steht leicht nach oben (unveränderbar). Und die runtergefahrene Position erfordert, dass ich meinen Schreibtisch etwas tiefer lege. Leider kann man die Füße auch nicht auf dem Drehkreuz ablegen, wie ich es gewohnt war von meinem bisherigen Sessel. Und das Drehkreuz ist aufgrund des weit hinten sitzenden Schwerpunktes, nicht erreichbar im normalen Sitzen. Auch die Lehne ist etwas weit hinten. Mit dem Polster im Kreuz geht es zwar. Aber ein anschmiegen an den Körper ist was anderes. Außerdem empfinde ich die leicht erreichbare Liegeposition als sinnlos, da man dazu die Pölster abnehmen muss. Das wiederum ist nicht in wenigen Sekunden gemacht. Mittlerweile habe ich beide entfernt, da ungemütlich auf Dauer. Und als leicht verstellbare Pölster würde ich das definitiv auch nicht bezeichnen. Einmal hat er mich sogar schon inmitten eines Online Meetings abgeladen und der Stuhl krachte lautstark um. Ich bin aufgrund der langen Sitzfläche weit vorne gesessen. Der Schwerpunkt ist wie gesagt, vermutlich wegen der Liegefunktion, sehr weit hinten (Drehkreuz). Warum dennoch 3 Sterne? ... Weil es zu dem Preis (~285,- in meinem Fall) auch schwierig ist, was Besseres zu finden. Vielleicht bin ich mit meinen 50 auch schon etwas zu alt für einen sogenannten "Gaming" Stuhl. Und Probesitzen im Möbelhaus zeigte, das angenehmere und ergonomischere Stühle wesentlich mehr kosten. Erst ab 500,- aufwärts. Also behalte ich ihn und hoffe nicht mehr abgeworfen zu werden - Jihaaaahhhh...

Super Gaming Stuhl mit „Liegefunktion“

Da sich mein alter PC Stuhl in seine Einzelteile aufgelöst hat musste ein neuer her. Bei einem Kollegen konnte ich dann erstmals auf einem solchen „Gaming“ Stuhl Probesitzen. Das gefiel mir so gut das ich diesen Stuhl hier kaufte. Zur Sitzposition und den mitgelieferten Kissen. Alles ist einstellbar Bzw. Man kann es abnehmen. Auch die Armlehne lässt sich in alle Richtungen verstellen und ist bequem. Zu Beginn war ich wegen des Kunstleders skeptisch, allerdings hat es sich schon mehrfach die letzen Sommertage bewährt. Gerade im Dachgeschoss bei 40 grad schwitzt man extrem, hier der Vorteil des Leders, einfach mit einem Desinfektionstuch oder einem nassen Lappen abwischen und fertig. Bei einem Stoffmodel geht das so leicht nicht... und ich denke nach einer gewissen Zeit könnte es unangenehm riechen. Die Funktion den Stuhl komplett umzulegen fand ich zu Beginn völlig nutzlos. Allerdings nutze ich sie mittlerweile fast täglich. Wenn ich zwischen dem Zocken einen Film oder Twitch schaue, lege ich die Lehne flach und meine Füße auf einen kleinen Hocker. Sehr angenehm. Ich habe bestimmt schon etliche Stunden auf diesem Stuhl verbracht und es quietscht oder knackt noch nichts! Auch die Rollen erfühlen ihren Zweck und haben keinen widerstand oder ähnliches. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung. Eine Sache noch zur „schmerz Linderung“. Wer täglich 16 Stunden sitzend vor dem Computer verbringt, darf sich nicht über Rückenschmerzen wundern. Da hilft auch der aller beste Stuhl nicht.
