(I'd sleep with this thing if my wife wouldn't get jealous!)
Hi. I'm an artist. Which means I don't earn much... but all the chores of a house husband. I don't mind most chores. I do windows, despise dusting, and resent mopping. But you have to mop the porcelain floors or you can't invite guests over. It took a long time for me to figure out how to mop properly. I used one of those sponge mops (which you can pull back into itself to ring out the dirty water). Instead of ringing out into the same bucket, I'd ring into the sink and even wash the sponge. Picture this. Even in a moderately sized condo, I'd rinse the mop at least 20 times during once mopping. That's a lot of hot water. So is the two gallon bucket I'd have to fill with Simple Green. Gallons of water and chemicals. And when I was done? MEH said the floor. It was better but not optimal. So my mop broke and I went to replace it. Couldn't. The Rollomatic was no longer at OSH. Which sucks because I have a replacement head that's now useless. I went to Amazon to see if they carry it. They do, but they also carry this Bissell baby. It looks like cheap plastic. Know why? To keep it light. If it were metal you'd never use it. This light design is just right and about 1/4th of the work of the Rollomatic. And there's no bucket to move around. The 'bucket' is a small reservoir that could hold two cans of Coke in it. Maybe one and half. When you open the box, assembly should be easy but for one thing: when you attach the handle to the unit, the handle can be slid in upside down. Which means when you go to put the one screw in it mysteriously won't work. I'm not the handyman type but I know 'engineers' can paint on a little red line on the handle and unit and tell us to make them 'match' each other to avoid this mistake. Or shape the rod in such a way that it can only slide in the correct way. A silly little design flaw. Okay. There's no on or off switch. You just plug in. A little blue light blinks. About a minute later it's ready. Then you pick what steaming power you want. Light, Medium, Heavy. Understand the unit comes wearing a 'gentle mop' and includes a 'scrubby mop' in the box. So it therefore comes with six levels of intensity: gentle light, gentle medium, gentle heavy, scrubby light, scrubby medium, scrubby heavy. I put off buying a new mop for ages and so it was particularly dirty. On my tile floor in the kitchen and major walkways, scrubby mop/heavy steam was needed. In other areas the gentle mop/medium steam did the trick. I should say here that I had to change from the gentle mop to the scrubby mop because the gentle mop got filthy fast. If Bissell wanted to be the bestest -- they'd include an additional set of mop heads for the same price. If that didn't get through: if you have a ginormous home to mop, you'll need more of the mop heads if the floor is particularly dirty. A few cool things -- 1. Under the cabinets in my kitchen is that part of floor the normal mop could barely clean. Grime would slowly build up and the only way to fix that was paper towels, spray, and hands & knees. This Bissell? Cleaned MONTHS OF FILTH in minutes. (This is what made me first consider taking the Bissell out for dinner and a movie.) 2. You don't need Simple Green and Pine Sol. This is STEAM. And you don't need a ton of water. (This is when I considered asking the Bissell back to my place.) 3. What was a solid hour of mopping is about 25 minutes with the Bissell. And that old school mopping used to make me so tired I refused to clean the upstairs linoleum bathroom... which is only a few feet wide. I did that too... in two minutes. (This is when I poured the wine for the Bissell and dimmed the lights a little.) 4. Because it's now so easy to 'mop'... I can do this weekly. Instead of what seemed to be every 4-6 weeks. (I told you I didn't like mopping, didn't I?) (Oh, and this is when my wife caught me and the Bissell in a compromised position. But this is my only affair and I won't apologize! Damn it this thing is awesome. Sure I wish she was a cheaper date, but hey, she sure can make me steamy.)

Definitely cleans!
I just used this for the first time and now am giving the floor the white sock test. The cord is reasonably long and I only had to change outlets once. The steam seems abundant although I'm not sure the termperature is very high as it left more moisture on the floor than my last Haan mop did. The floor did dry quickly though. I am still trying to figure out how to turn the mop off without pulling the plug during resting periods. I do have a resting pad leftover from my last mop and I use it to place the hot mop on so it doesn't damage my flooring while moving cord or changing mophead pads. I was quite pleased with how filthy the first mop pad was so that is a good sign. I do find pulling the old pad off and placing on a new one to be awkward but I'm sure I will get used to it. Overall, I think this is a good value. The brush scrubber is a nice feature but I probably won't use it. In my experience, a good steam mop will clean up dried messes with multiple passes without the need for a scrubber. I had my last Haan mop for 9 years. I hope this lasts as long. If you're on the fence, go for it. I did plenty of research before purchasing and I am not sorry. Note to those of you using tap water: Only distilled or demineralized water should be used. The minerals in tap water will eventually clog the vents of this mop and/or prevent the cap on the reservoir from dispensing water into the mop for heating. Tap water is the top killer of any steam or water dispensing product. If you can't find distilled water in the bottled water section of your grocery, check the cleaning products section and you will find it there FOR GOOD REASON.

Makes Mopping a breeze!
This is one of the those products I ordered hoping that it will make mopping my floors easier and I soon found out that, delightfully, that it more than met my expectations. I bought a gallon of distilled water to use in the water container to help better protect all the steam jets from getting mineral build up over time. If you have a lot of minerals in your water, do invest in bottled distilled water; it will make your mop last a lot longer. The container is easy to fill, the cloth mop head fits perfectly snug and it is removeable for easy laundering. (I ordered a package of extra mop heads just so I'd have them if I need them). I have linoleum on my kitchen and bathroom floors and it works brilliantly on it. (I don't like tile because grout lines become dirt catchers so easily, but I understand many with tile floors are raving that this little steamer gets the grout clean) For my lineoleum, I use the heavy steam option, but on my vinyl wood flooring, I have used the lightest setting and mop it lightly, not lingering in any place too long. I wouldn't recommend the heavy setting on the vinyl wood, but that's just me. It depends on what your flooring manufacturer recommends. It only takes a minute for the steam to get started and pushing the mop head around is easy. The cord is plenty long enough for me to do my whole kitchen area and I have a fairly good size kitchen. I like that it doesn't take long for the floor to dry. I unplug the steamer, let it sit on it's little 'tray' that came with it while it cools down (that part doesn't get used when mopping your floor), and I remove the water container to drain it. Once cool, I remove the mop head and pitch it in the wash to be used another day. This is the easiest tool I have ever used to mop my floors and there's no mess or drippy parts to deal with when storing it away for another day. I love this thing!

Power Fresh !!!
I just received this Bissell Power Fresh steam mop a day ago , had to try it out right away as I have a dog and cat who make a mess when eating and also being muddy season. I have old vinyl floors and let the steam sit over heavy soiled areas and it cleaned it up no problem . I highly recommend this, I won't be using a mop and bucket again as this machine does a much better job at cleaning my floors and easier on my back. The cord is really long which I like and can get a big area done without having to switch plugs.

DO NOT BUY
I got it delivered to India. I was asked to use it with a convertor and I did but it stopped producing steam after being used twice. On contacting the seller I was told that there is no warranty on this product, which is absurd because two years limited warranty has been mentioned in the listing. There are also no service centres in India. Now I'm left with a piece of useless equipment, which did not come cheap. Please avoid making the mistake I did and save your money.

Great product and.... My kudos to the seller
The Steam Mop works great, even better than I expected. In addition the first steam mop I was sent was defective (minor mechanical damage) but the Seller replaced it in a record time of 48hrs. This is a demonstration of professionalism and attention to the Customer even after the selling.
