Good option for travel
I ordered one of these and a replacement warming pad. The items arrived in good shape. The warming pad arrived and the metal disc had been activated turning the liquid cloudy and solid. I was able to boil the warming pad and return it to its liquid, clear form. I inserted the warming pad around our 8 oz. Playtex drop-in bottle with no issues. It was a tight fit in the carrying case, but I would want it snug to keep the bottle warm and the entire system effective. The warming pad does not have any closure tabs on it and I have found that I need the insulated case to keep it wrapped around the bottle. The warming pad works for about 2 hours and the bottle does warm up. No, it doesn't happen quickly but it does work. Our infant daughter will drink her bottle at room temperature so anything warmer than that is good for us. I purchased this system for our upcoming Feb trip to northern France. I expect the outside temperatures to be quite cold and hope the bottle warming system will keep her food edible.

Fantastic Travel Warmer
I was not sure about this product when I was researching travel bottle warmers. However, after using it for a couple of outings, I am so thankful I took a chance on it. I actually bought 3 more, so we have 4 to take on longer trips. It warms my baby's milk in about 10-15 minutes, if you want it warmer it will take longer. It just requires a little planning, not a big deal to me since her bottle warmer at home takes about the same time. It does not require power, I wasn't sure I would like this, but I LOVE that feature. Perfect for hiking, camping, family adventures, long road/plane trips, etc. Boiling it to reactivate it isn't a big deal. I just take care of it at the same time as washing bottles. Easy peasy. I'm also sure we will use these once she is on solid food and we don't need it for bottles anymore. It is a pretty versatile product. NOTE: I use Natursutten bottles with this which are glass and narrow. I am not sure larger/fatter bottles would work with this.

Okay — not great
This is fine for one-time use, but if you’re going to be out all day and need to heat up more than one bottle, you’re out of luck. And it only warms a bottle to just above room temp — much cooler than a legit bottle warmer would do. Not a big deal unless you have a very picky baby. I do think it’s a pain in the butt to “reset” this thing. You have to put it in a large pot of boiling water for a full 15 minutes. Like, a rolling boil. If the water doesn’t stay hot enough or if it’s in anything shy of 15 minutes, it may look like it’s gel again but it’ll stiffen back up and you’ll have to do it all over again. Overall, takes a lot of energy and wastes a lot of water. I rarely use this and instead fill a coffee thermos with boiling water. It takes up less room in the diaper bag, heats the bottle better, and is much easier to “reset” — I can just get some hot water and I’m good to go.

BUY GLASS BOTTLES - READ THIS
This product is amazing! I just ordered 2 more so I have a total of 4. I bought them to use at a music festival, so we can warm bottles when we are away from camp. They got a test run at a convention this weekend and they were stellar! I read the reviews and purchased NARROW NECK GLASS BOTTLES to use with it. These pads will not fit wide neck bottles. Additionally, I did some research on thermal properties of glass and plastic, and learned that glass conducts heat 10x more efficiently than plastic. Translation: contents will warm faster in a glass bottle than in a plastic one. It took about 30 minutes to make a fridge-cold bottle lukewarm and about 20 minutes for room temperature. PLAN AHEAD. If you are travelling, pop this warmer 30 minutes before you anticipate feeding your kid. I fed my baby with the bottle still inside the warming pack with sleeve. It's a little bulky and heavy, but the bottle stays warm that way. Going back to the thermal conductivity of glass - glass bottles cool off faster than plastic. So keep it in there while feeding or you won't be able to rewarm the bottle. It's worth it. Finally, back to planning ahead, these are one time use and you will have to reset them by boiling for 15 minutes at home. This is clearly laid out in the description. Don't complain in the reviews about it when you should've known in the beginning. Order more if you think you'll need to make more than one bottle on any given outing. Make sure you follow the directions and you won't have any problems with resetting them for the next use.

Great solution for busy moms!
This is the best by far of these types of warmers. I have this one and two other brands; this is the only one that works very well. (In fact, I've had this one for six years--the others haven't lasted 3 years and in the case of two, 2 months.) The others go off prematurely because the encasements are soft-sided. This encasement is hard-sided, so it protects the disc inside (which is how you activate the heating crystals.) Two of the others burst so the gel came out--I think they were just cheaper. This one seems more well-made. I do not keep my bottles inside this until I'm ready to warm them--doing so can cause it to activate. Also do NOT warm your Dr Brown's bottles with the "straw" down inside--the milk will flow up the straw and leak out (even if you have the little white plastic disc in there.) Instead, keep the straw and nipple in a separate baggie and just use the hard cap until the bottles are warmed. Then put the bottle together to feed baby. In all, this is one of my "must-have" products, and even though I'm six months away from not having any more bottles to warm, I'm ordering a second. (In my defense, I do have twins to feed this time around. ;) NOTE: If you are traveling on a plane, the flight attendants will warm your bottles for you--they will put them down inside cups of hot water. Also, I've gotten cups of hot water for tea at airport coffee stands and put my bottles inside those to warm. So, save these for when you're in a car or something and have no alternative. Most people are MORE than happy to help you warm a bottle, esp when you're traveling.

Good product. Could've been slightly better.
As another person has commented, it doesn't get very hot. Yes, it only gets warm. But the good thing is that once activated, it stays warm for a couple of hours. So if you know you might need a warm bottle of milk after a while, make sure you activate it at least half an hour before. It will warm it up, and keep it warm until you finally need it. As I said before, it doesn't get too hot, so there's little or no possibility of getting the milk too hot for the baby. Yes, it may not work all that good on chilled milk. But it works fine if you have the milk at room temperature, like we do. We have had this product for a few weeks, and have made use of it quite a few times. And yes, when you get back home, you have to remember to leave the warmer in boiling hot water for some time to get it ready for another use. Only one issue is that the outside cover, although looks good, is not big enough to fit the warmer wrapped around a standard 250ml Avent bottle. I have tried to zip it up, but that spoils the zip. (That's where it looses the one star) Other than that, IMO it's a good product which works. Really helpful when you are inside a movie hall and wanna keep a bottle of milk warmed before your baby wakes up.

Only good for one feed
Only good for one feed so not very useful if you're out all day and have a couple of feeds with you. Zip also broke after one use. Wouldn't recommend, sorry.

Excellent
Brilliant Idea and I love that it heats up the bottle for you on demand. Perfect for those days out.

Warms the bottle, but...
My Avent bottles are too big to fit into the pouch, so I had to use a towel instead. But the heating worked really good and the milk got hot in a short time… Brilliant when you're travelling and need a "one time heating" (it has so be boiled to work again). Then again you can buy an extra insert...
