Comfortable Arm Rests

I got these arm rests for my Safco Metro adjustable height chair. My husband had no problem putting them on the chair. The arm rests are pretty comfortable for a hard plastic arm rest, and I would have given a 5 star rating but for 1 thing - while the arm rests are adjustable up and down, they don't have a lot of room for adjusting them so they are farther or closer to the chair itself. I'm a large person when skin and bones, but now that I have a bit of middle age weight on me, I find it difficult to fit onto chairs that have arms too close in on the seat. I'm handicapped and my scooter has arms that adjust, I see no reason the arms for this chair couldn't have been designed to adjust out-word as well as up and down. I would not have even put them on the chair, but they make it much easier for me to get into the chair. Still, even with them just as they are they are still far enough from my chair seat for me to just barely be able to use them without too much discomfort. They were also pretty well made and not flimsy, which most things seem to be these days. If width from the seat isn't an issue, I'd highly recommend these arms to go with the matching Safco Metro chair. The chair I purchased separately and reviewed separately.

WARNING WARNING DEEZ ARE NOT HUMAN ARMS. These are arms for a CHAIR! You can imagine the surprise I felt when I crick'ed open the box with bated breath, anticipating the fleshy goodness that is embodied in brand spankin new human arms, only to be distraught at, lo and behold, the sight of cold, metalic, plasticy chair arms. yeCCHK! Seriously? What am I supposed to do with chair arms?? Chairs dont even need arms, they don't do anything! They just sit there! Well I guess I sit there, but the chair sits there to; oh you know what I mean. What I mean is that the chair doesnt even have a job, it doesnt help with chores. my gosh I need some regular human arms for a project I'm doing. All I wanted to do was to tell some girl "do you have tickets to the gun show?" Then wowowow hold up my arms (well not MY arms) and win tha girl. if she says no ill just whom-em rat style woop her with those meaty arms

Easy to install when you are assembling the chair for the first time.

These are a great addition to this chair and I suggest that you just go ahead and buy them when you buy the chair. They are very easy to install while you assemble the chair. I like that the height is adjustable. They make a difference when you spend a long time in the chair.

Works great!

Very comfortable and sturdy, but should have been included with the chair. A must have in my opinion. -------- UPDATE 2 YEARS AFTER ---- The arms rest still work, but plastic parts inside are very squeaky now, to the point that I took them off because they make too much noise during my calls from the office. I am reducing the STAR rating to 3.

Solidly built though plastic a little cheap looking

Kit attached to our chair quickly and easily. Arms are heavy duty based on weight, but they look kind of cheap and out of place in an office of Aerons. It's too bad we cant find the Aeron stool for the $400 or so you can get the chairs for otherwise we would have definitely gone with one of those. At $300 or so for this chair plus arms it's still no massive bargain, but at least the product appears to be made to handle repeated use. Looks aside, I give it four stars for utility.

These adjustable arms were a breeze to install on my chair, and they seem to be of very good quality. I've been using them for a few weeks now with my new chair, and I have no complaints. The height is easy to adjust, and the arm rests are reasonably wide and comfortable (I'm a 150 lb woman) and are well-placed for sitting at my raised desk using my keyboard and mouse.
