Great Cape!

This cape shipped quickly. For the price it's a great costume. The fabric has a velvet feel and hangs nicely but is not the heavy velvet of regular cold weather clothing so don't be disappointed. The hood is plenty roomy and one nice detail is a short, stiff collar around the neck. I am a tad shorter than 5 feet and it touches the floor so without measuring I would say that the stated length is correct. It is narrow and doesn't come fully around my hips but that's okay with me. My disappointment stems from the armholes - there were none. The picture looks like it has the them and one reviewer mentioned having them. I am serving a fundraising meal in this costume and thought the armholes would be easier for me. The meal is soon so there is no time to shop more and I'll work with it. It'll be fun!

Terrific cape - very pleased

Sometimes a picture can be misleading but not in this case. I am 5'3" and the cape comes to just a couple of inches from the floor. This is perfect for my costume. The crushed velvet is very soft and the hood is as described. Large hood that can drape down on your face or will stay put if you position it further back on your head. If you drape it down on your face you won't be able to see straight ahead. It would be easy to use some fabric stiffener or iron in a bit of black facing on the inside to lift it for a different look. Also, I'm no where near the size of the model in the picture and this cape will pull all the way in front of me. I'm extremely pleased with this soft and flowing cape.

I don't really get the "arm holes" but it's a good cape

I bought it to go with my Halloween costume in case it was chilly. It turned out to be a warm night so I didn't wear it, but I'm sure I'll use it next year or some time. I like it. The only thing that I found a little odd was that it had arm holes, which I wasn't expecting. When I put my arms through them, it made the cape much shorter. They were down low. Maybe they were "hand holes". ? LOL I have no idea, but I would probably just ignore them and wear the cape as a cape. :) Good quality for the money.

It is what it is...

VERY thin... so keep that in mind if you are using this for warmth or anything else. I purchased this for my mother-in-law for a witches night out party and it was pretty chilly... luckily she was wearing long sleeves under her costume because this would NOT have been sufficient. It is what it is though... costume wear - nothing fancy or FANTASTIC about it. Well constructed but cheap fabric. If you are using this for a daily use (haha) - I would walk away.

Not great, not terrible...

The delivery was great--it arrived very quickly and without any pains. The material isn't that bad, to be honest. It has a nice feel to it. The strings are alright, but I'm not sure they'll last through much wear and tear. Same for the fabric. I'd say this is good for show--probably not your best choice if you plan on running around (a.k.a.: don't buy for LARPing). I wasn't impressed at the lack of mention on the armholes. The length of the cloak is good for not tripping over. The hood... is 'eh', at best. The way the fabric was sewn gives the top a dome look, similar to the picture. There was already a hole in the seaming along the hood, too. For the price... not terrible. But not great.

Good Cape

The hood is kinda big but i think it is suppose to be. It is a good length. I am 5'5" and it hits at about the ankles. My only issue is that it arrived and there is a rip where you tie it together. I can make it work thankfully because i need it for a party but that part sucks.

Great as long as you don't expect too much

I love this cloak, I wore it to a renaissance festival and it was the perfect length for my dress and my frame. (I am 5'6") The cloak is a thin crushed velvet, but not so thin it is see through, it offered great protection from the sun. It also has two slits inside for your arms to go through (but I have no clue why someone would want to do that). The clasp at the neck is made of cheap velcro but it does the job and I wasn't fighting with it to stay secured. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. This cloak completed my look for a fantastic price! I recommend it for a casual user, if you want high quality be prepared to pay for it.

FANTABULOUS!

So im ALWAYS skeptical to order things online ESPECIALLY since I work in disputing charges! Heard some ok things about this product. Did some review searches and looked up this merchant as well. Noticed that some ppl ordered used ones and they didn't turn out very well so I made sure I CALLED!!! YES PLL DOESNT HURT TO CALL THEM!!!... and made sure it wasn't used. Ordered it since I need something over the top to complete my costume.... AND ALL I CAN SAY IS EXCELLENT!!! Came with no problems, delivered on the day they stated! Fits perfect length. Hood is a bit large but I think that's how ist suppose to be so you have some flow to the top of it and its not killing your neck! GREAT JOB!

It came better than expected. I thought the material would have been cheap and get ruined easily. I was wrong. It fits great and is comfortable. I love the hood and can wear as an everyday piece.
