Frayed at some spots, but you get what you pay for

I grabbed this for a last-minute costume for Halloween and there were a bunch of stringy frays around the hood/ties, but it does the job I need. Beware that it is fairly heavy (I am 5'4") and long, so you'll have to wear some sort of boot or heel if you wear!

Good Quality

When I first saw this on Amazon, my first thought was, "it's probably just one of those cheap costume capes you get from Halloween stores" until I read the reviews. Since I'm being Red Riding Hood, I decided to try it for myself and order one. It's good quality material, not the cheap kind that you find in many costume sets, and it's at a reasonable price. It's a lovely shade of red and goes all the way down to the floor and even drags a little, but I thought that added to the effect of the cape. If you're going to be outside having a Halloween party or trick-or-treating this will keep you warm. It would also be a nice cape for a Renaissance costume, a devil, vampire, etc. so it's a versatile cape. The hood is big, so it will bag around your face and shoulders, adding to the effect of the costume. If you have long hair like me, it is going to make your hair a bit static-y, but that is my only complaint. If you're looking for a nice Halloween cape that is good material and good quality and will be good for this year's costume and all the other years to come, this is for you.

Nice cape

This is a nice cape. Perfect for a super hero (just tuck in the hood) or little red riding hood. It is however quite long so definitely adult size!

Too long if you are 5’2” or under

This was thicker and heavier than I expected, which actually made the quality seem better than expected when it arrived. It was very long and would drag the ground if I wore it down (I’m 5’2”). The hood was a bit too large too and wouldn’t stay on my head for more than a couple minutes at a time. After tugging the hood back on all night, the straps started to rip.

Worth the price (kind of)

For the price it totally works for my costume, only because I will be up passing out candy. I wouldn't recommend it for a Halloween party and lots of moving because the hood is a bit flimsy. Need A thicker hood! Depends on what look you're going for but I'm gonna be little red riding hood and I need it to stay on! Hopefully I figure something out to make it work more like the photo I posted. (Picture attatched is not me wearing this purchased hood, it's just the look I was going for)

Perfect for work

We dress up for work since our work is about helping kids believe in dragons, fairies, and magic. I had finally reached enough time that I could get a costume. I was going with something simple, black outfit with this cloak. Cause I'm 5'5" this cape has a nice little dragging effect! This is fun when you are going down flights of stairs, which I at work from time to time. I love it! The only little issue I have is the strings look like they need a little reinforcement, but that is a super easy fix! I've gotten several compliments on my "look" and all I did was add this cloak I even had a manager that doesn't really like me, compliment how much the cloak is working for my character! My character is Ruby from OUAT.

Awesome

This cape/cloak was awesome! I went as Little Red Riding Hood, after the Big Bad Wolf got a hold of her! I didn't want to look like a little kid, (or a prostitute) so store-bought red riding hood costumes were out of the question. I wore black jeans, combat boots, and a black corset, and this cape over all of that. It was the PERFECT length for me, and I'm about 5'8". The hood was really big, which made me happy because I didn't want it to look like a sweatshirt hood. The ties in the front tied tightly so that it didn't feel heavy, and the material was pretty nice. It was a great bright red color too! Overall it was an awesome product for a great price. :)

I got this for my red riding hood costume and ...

I got this for my red riding hood costume and it fits, but the actual hood part its self does not work for my head because i have short hair so it sags on my for head. The material isn't that high quality and unravels on all the edges but i can fix that with a sewing machine. I predict it will look goo with the dress that i'm ordering.

It Was OK

This item looked good, but in truth there were rips in the hem and poor stitching in the hood to the tie. I would've returned it to be swapped for another. But, I really needed it for the time it arrived for Halloween when it arrived on the day I required it for a party. Furthermore, I paid for the item to be sent via first class and it arrived two days later than it originally said it would in the email. So therefore, I shall not bother paying extra for postage if it cannot be delivered on the time they say it would be. With all that said however, the colour is a very nice rouge red and is a decent length if you wanted to dress up as Red Riding Hood for instance. Just try not to get it dirty, as only being able to wash it in cold water is a nightmare.

Does the job but the material is very thin and its clearly cheaply made - good length though and a lovely shade of red
