AWESOME HAND TRUCK - WELL MADE - THIS TRUCK LIVED UP TO ITS SPECIFICATIONS!

I wanted a new granite floor in my bedroom and a new granite shower surround in my recent bathroom, walk in closet remodel phase now complete thank goodness. Well when all the measuring was done we were talking the delivery of about two tons of beautiful granite 12" x 12" tiles. The shipping company would only drop ship a gigantic pallet the granite tiles at my buildings loading dock. I was responsible for transporting the granite tiles into my building and up to my condo which was though a parking structure into my building up in an elevator, through another hallway to my condo door. WHAT I NEEDED IN A HAND TRUCK WAS THE FOLLOWING... I needed a truck that could handle at least a 2000 pound load. I needed a truck that would fit into a standard size passenger elevator car. I needed a truck that one person could push or pull. I needed a truck with wheels thick enough that they would not slip into the gap between the elevator floor and the building floor. I needed a cart that could handle the bumps, expansion joints and other irregularities of the concrete flooring in the parking structure. I needed a hand truck that would not get bogged down in the carpeting found on all my condos residential levels. I needed a truck with a wide deck allowing me to carry a lot of stone tiles per trip. I needed a well built hand truck that did not fall apart with heavy use. I needed a hand truck without cheap metal or plastic parts that were easily bent or broken. I needed a truck that was easily stored when not in use. Well I found the heavy duty truck I needed in this Rubbermaid Commercial FG444100 Heavy Duty Platform Truck, 2000 lbs Capacity, 48" Length x 24" Width, Black. CONCLUSION... I got the results I needed. This huge truck made short work of moving that 2 tons of granite from loading dock into my condo home. I think it took just three trips and 420 wrapped pieces of granite was safely stored on my living room floor. Just be mindful that the truck only just barely fits in a standard passenger size elevator and ONLY if the hand truck enters the elevator handle side first to the back wall. The kewl thing was this truck fit in a standard passenger size elevator and many don't. The truck rolled easily over all surfaces and was quiet in its operation. The truck assembled easily with just a power screw driver, adequate directions and a small dose of common sense. Just do not over tighten the screws securing the wheels to the truck base load platform or you will damage the plastic and weaken the wheel to truck connections. The truck is better built than it might look. The handle is strong tube gauge steel which holes that allow a secure and stable connection to the base load platform. There are two steel beams that run under the length of the heavy duty plastic load platform to provide much needed extra rigidity and support to this hand truck. The heavy duty plastic load deck of this hand truck will resist abuse, scrapes and scuffs. This hand truck handled small pot holes better than most because the wheels are larger but not huge. This is NOT the heaviest duty hand truck available but it is a great general duty hand truck and is by no means a lite duty. This hand truck did not flex or develop any functional or quality issues during the transport of my heavy granite tiles from loading dock door to condo a good distance away. I was able to skillfully navigate through a lot of parked cars and into the elevator lobby with relative ease. I had to give this hand truck five stars because; in all honesty I filled the cart to the max and found NO ISSUES. Both myself and the contractors laying my floor and upgrading my bathroom used this cart to move heavy equipment with no issues. Like I always say I won't give an item a bad review when it is undeserved. I could not find one negative about this truck even the price for the quality of the item is within reason. Its been a while since I brought this Rubbermaid Commercial FG444100 Heavy Duty Platform Truck, 2000 lbs Capacity, 48" Length x 24" Width, Black and I am still extremely happy with this purchase. If you need a great quality hand truck the Rubbermaid Commercial FG444100 Heavy Duty Platform Truck, 2000 lbs Capacity, 48" Length x 24" Width, Black fits the bill.

terrible

product arrived in packaging that looking like science project. Its shipping box was two large boxes taped together to 'make 1 large box' to hold the content on this platform truck. After opening, I was noticed that the order did not come with any fasteners to attached the wheels to the platform. I tried using a set of bolts for another Rubbermaid cart I had, that has the exact same wheel size and design. However, it was then discovered the holes in the cart are NOT EVEN THREADED. So I cant even buy a set of bolts to put this platform cart together. What a joke!!!!

ordered Aug 21 2020 got wrong fasteners, called company month ago.. still no fasteners!!!

This is the second cart we purchased ...The first one we had no problems. The second had the wrong fasteners, so we can't assemble... still waiting for the correct fasteners... its been over two weeks. It is easy to assemble ...if you have the right fasteners!!!

These carts are everything I was looking for I deal with forms and paper and i thought it would be a problem with over 500 lbs on the cart I went as far as a 1000 lbs and these carts are amazing I would recommend anyone to try these carts out

Great Help

Purchased this to donate to a local community center to help them move food into their pantry. I don't know if they actually needed the 2 ton weight capacity that this provides. But, having that capability means it is a bigger frame with larger tires that help greatly when pulling a loaded cart over a door threshold. The folks at the community love it.
