Would I buy it again yes, but I would add a swing hitch kit to it so that would make it much cooler.
I did not buy it from Amazon it was purchased from the bike rack company. I have owned this bike rack for 6 years It’s a sturdy strong construction, be leave it or not I haul it on the back of my Honda CR-Z a very small car with an aftermarket tow bar hitch it works great, I just (March 2020) purchased a 92 lbs fat tire E bike, the 1000 watt E cell Monarch. This bike rack rolls like a fat dog falling it master I take it everywhere. I am even able to hook it to my 2 inch truck tow bar. Two issues it rattles a bit, problem solved with a $6 dollar clamp that I purchased at Home Depot that same type of clamp can be purchased on Amazon for $16.50 it completely gets rid of the rattling, second issue was the rubber straps if you leave the rack on your vehicle in the weather to long like 8 to 12 months the rubber straps will degrade and break after a period of time so don’t be lazy like me don’t leave your bike rack out in the weather when your not using it those straps are expensive.

Nice rack!
I just got the rack installed today, 04/16/16, and overall I really like it a lot. I especially like the built-in lock for securing your bike to the rack. Granted it could be easily overpowered with a small hammer or pry bar, but it works great as a deterrent against opportunistic thieves who would otherwise simply walk away with your ride because it was an easy target. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to drill a hole in the pin on the rack to install a locking hitch-pin. Both the U-Haul hitch and the pin on the bike rack have two holes in them, but they didn't line up with each other, requiring me to drill a third 1/2" hole for the locking hitch-pin. This was no big deal and really not the fault of the company that makes the rack, so I don't hold it against them. Well, not much. They did lose a star because of it. =/ The construction is solid and the rubber saddles and straps for the bike frame work very well, as do the anti-sway straps. I did replace the anti-rattle bolt with a 3 1/2" long, 5/8-16 zinc plated bolt and nylock lucking nut (with blue Locktite), but that was just because I tend to over-engineer things for security purposes, and I though the bolt would be harder to remove by a thief than the stock unit with its wimpy little pin/clip. If you don't plan to install a locking hitch-pin and only use the anti-rattle bolt, and holes don't line up like mine didn't, it will still go together as advertised, using the included hardware.

Wow, this thing is built heavy duty. It ...
Wow, this thing is built heavy duty. It was so heavy the UPS driver backed her truck up our driveway and left it on the blacktop. The package came with the content well padded, I did see a little scratch on the column of the rack from a part that came loose (ups driver, perhaps). I assembled the parts together which took maybe 10 minutes, and slipped it on my truck to see if it fits. I was a little concerned about this rack fitting my truck since it has a class 5 hitch which is 2 1/2 inch square tube with a 2 inch reducer. The real concern is whether the threaded bolt that comes with the rack is long enough to fit thru the class 5 hitch receiver which has an outside dimension of 3 inches. To my relief, the pin just fits long enough to get the cotter pin thru. Once you tighten this bolt down, this rack is solid. The only movement comes from the pivoting portion of the rack, but it's an acceptable amount of wiggle. . This rack is really for my fifth wheel trailer so we can take our bikes along when camping. Time to get back in shape on my bike. I'm only gave it 4 stars because I havent Road tested it. I'll update once I do. .

I liked the simplicity of the design
I ordered this rack because of the reviews and cost against suggestions of peers who have other racks. I wasn't going to be using it all of the time so I had a hard time dropping serious money for a higher quality rack. I ordered it for a multi state vacation with the family and ordered it a month before I had to go. With my job I get shipped all over the place with very little notice for extended periods of time. So of course I got shipped out and got back two days before vacation. My girlfriend brought the rack to my house in only the manufacturers box, she said the one it came in was in shreds and pieces and wasn't even on the box (manufacturers box). The manufacturers box was beat to hell as well with pieces of the rack protruding from it. The pieces that were sticking out were end pieces and the plastic plugs were in pieces. I was leaving with no time to get it returned or buy a new one, so I decided to roll with it. I liked the simplicity of the design, instructions are clear. I put it on the back of my truck and love the idea that it will tilt down and allow you to put the tailgate down. This is impossible when it's fully loaded with bikes unless you have some kind of super human strength or anger issues. My bike is tricky to get on but once it's on it fits nice and rides nice, I have a Scott 29er. My girls bikes- forget it. One has a small mountain bike, cheaper Walmart type, had to hang it with only one post going through the frame and the other rides a BMX, the only way to get it on was upside down. There is no room to put a fourth bike on, unless you had bikes the same size or road bikes. The rack does wobble a lot when fully loaded, to fix that I ran some ratchet straps from the carrier to the top of the canopy on my truck. The lock feature is nice but it has already broken. Over all, it's just okay- you get what you pay for

Excellent and improved product
I bought this to replace a similar 6 year old Rola unit which had metal wear at the lower bolts. They have improved the design with special washers so no more wear. They are still using the rubber frame clips which tend to wear after a few years - good to order spares if you can. I also was easily able to mount this unit on my tow bar so that I can carry the bikes AND tow a trailer at same time!

Nice features
I ordered this bike rack for a 1 1/4 inch hitch with a 1/2 inch pin. One feature that I liked in the product description was the anti sway bolt. Very disappointing to find out the anti sway bolt is only in 5/8 inch size for 2 inch hitch receiver. For the 1 1/4 inch it's just a pin and clip. As a result the bike rack sways a lot. It might work okay in a 2 inch receiver but I can't recommend it for the 1 1/4 inch. Otherwise is has some nice features. I like the way the arms fold when not in use. And it seems solid.

Rubble Craddle Band snapped
Rubble cradle band made of poor quality material. Easily snapped while securing my Mountain bike. Very unsafe to use!
