Travel “maid” that cooks while you drive!
LOVE it! Helps me eat healthy during travels! We travel a lot and bring this “lil buddy “in the vehicle for cooking/warming foods. EZ usb plug with on/off switch and red light to remind you it’s on. Perfect temperature for leftovers in about 20 minutes. I’ve used it for chicken nuggets, dinner leftovers, soups, stew, eggs, spaghetti, etc. Saves $ by avoiding the drive through!! Definitely a needed travel companion!

Does not last long. An electrical engineer needs to get involved with this product
It lasted for like eight meals as a semi truck driver so price per years was like four dollars. It did work like it was supposed to but the electrical got fried after eight uses. There is a better one out there that last much longer. I think it’s the same brand but not as deep FYI

Down Star and updated review
Now that I've used this for more than a year, I've come to not really like it. My biggest complaint is it has only 2 settings, on or off. "On" gets too hot in the summer time, where I want to slow cook something for 5 hours but instead is done in 1 - 1.5 hours. The fuse link inside the pot broke recently, that is disappointing. And after taking it apart, I was surprised to see how cheaply this thing is made, especially for how much it costs. If it had 4 settings (off, low, high, warm) I would be willing to buy another. I also found it kind of too small for me. Even though I am cooking for just me, it fills up just too quickly with food when I want to make something. And since I'm running off solar for this in my van, I like to make several days of food so I can get the most out of my solar usage on a day that I have good sun. Granted, the size is not a fault and I don't take away stars for its size since you know that you are buying a tiny pot. Since I have a good inverter in my van, my plan is to replace this broken unit with a regular household 2 or 3 QT unit that has all the features I'm looking for, including something programmable so it can start cooking while I'm out climbing or whatever. Maybe even a smart version that I can monitor and control remotely. My 3 stars are for it's lack of function (on/off only), poor quality and cost. I would give it just 2 stars for that, but it's a pretty useful unit otherwise, I did make many meals in it.

Handy
Great product. We used it while camping. I would have given 5 stars but it would be nice if it had a high/low setting instead of just one setting.

Heats from the sides-Lid is glass but loosy goosy
The good ----- It heats from the sides The bad ---------- no insulation from metal sides it's "owee hot" The good---------- contents gets to 200 Degrees F on 14V continuous in 2 hours The bad ------- see # 2 above The good --------the lid is glass with non ferrous metal ring and screw holding lifting knob The bad --------The lid is ill fitted and slops around The bad ------the hold down strap is something like a scrunchie for the hair The good -------the inner pot is white ceramic and removable with tabs also See # 2 above The Bad -------the bottom outside metal is smooth humps that make unit slide all over so see #2 above The good------- cord is 5 feet with decent fused plug with inline on-off switch All in all it is not very efficient for cookinng , it radiates most of the heat from the metal casing, the lid is ill fitted and slops around , It would make a good heater for a V berth if you fill it and let it run with a Battery Charger or other 12V source the can supply continuous duty , improvements would be a tight fitting lid combined with a insulated outer casing UPDATE one year later, like other reviewers mine failed to work after 5 or 6 cooking days with the light still on, the solder for the heating bands deteriorate and cause a failure, it is a easy fix with crimp connectors and I got a full year and a hundred cooking days before I Had to repair again

Worked great for 6 months
Really liked this crock at first. We ran it off our solar set up and made corned beef brisket, pot roast and many other meals but it died so quickly after 6 months. I opened it up and saw that the heating element melted itself in half...no good!

Good so far
Working great so far. Takes a little bit longer to cook stuff than my regular crock pot. Be sure to give yourself a full 6 hours to cook. Add some water to help it cook. Turned some cubbed up grass feed beef chuck roast into melt in your mouth tender goodness.

Poor Quality Parts
Received the pot and the handle was loose. On first use it became too loose to retain the bungee for the lid, and from the underside I could see two screw-ends sticking out of the plastic. After second use it stopped working. I took it apart and inside found it very poorly made. The switch is a mess of hot glue with a wire scabbed directly into the DC power cable with a bead of solder. At the heating wire, the ends had completely burned up thanks to poor-quality connectors to the power supply. It's completely non functional, which is a shame because it could be a good unit with a little more care in manufacturing.

Good to have travel products made for these people who are on the road alot
Works very well for my son as he is a long distant truck driver and makes good meals in stead of having to stop at truck stops.
