Seems solid, but doesn't fit mil or QASM
I'd intended to replace a broken buckle on a pack with these, but they are too thin to interface with 1" buckles on any pack or gear I have. Probably fine if you're replacing both ends, but don't count on these working with your existing packs etc. Into the parts bin they go.

Perfect fit, difficult to install
Works perfectly. It definitely took some severe manhandling with needle nose pliers to get everything into place (use pliers to pull the strap around / through the buckle), but that's good because it will definitely stay put! Seems solidly built, looks like the stock part.

Works for ALICE pack mod
I used these buckles to replace the stock buckles on my ALICE pack. You have to use metal snips to cut the old ones off, and then thread the straps through these replacements. I had to use a small screwdriver to push the thick ends through and pull out the other side with pliers, but I didn't have to cut any straps.

Very happy with it
Worked really well as a replacement buckle for my dog hammock for my car. Accidentally broke two of them, and would have had to cut and sew the webbed strap if not for this little gadget. Very happy with it.

Field repair buckles
Had a few broken buckles on my back pack ordered some of these, and fit like they were made for it. I did have to use a pair of pliers to get it on but seems to be working well at this time. Sure beats taking my backpack somewhere to be repaired. I will keepa few on hand just in case future breaks.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I normally don't give 5 star reviews but this thing works and is a gawd send for making repairs. I used it on a blanket buckle which we use all the time. Saved us from getting another blanket. Very useful design and did not seem cheap in quality. Glad we could find it at third party vendor via Amazon.

Field Repair? Not Possible on closed loop straps!!
I purchased these to repair a broken buckle on a bag I have and only one side of the buckle has the open notch to slip the strap through. On top of that, you have to replace the whole buckle because it's incompatible with the existing buckle, so you can't replace half of the buckle. If you are replacing buckles on closed loop straps these are useless! Total waste of money!
