Good for small spaces

This is a good pipe cutter for copper tubing (that is all I have used it on so far). The knob for tightening is diamond shaped and knurled so it is easier to use with my arthritic hands. If the tightening knob were round, I would have a harder time to turn it do to my arthritis.

Quality mini tubing cutter.

Was able to make a perfect cut on 3/4" electrical PVC pipe in an almost impossible to reach position, buried beneath a concrete sidewalk. Nice little tool. NOTE; only disappointment was there WAS no spare blade included, as the packaging stated. CORRECTION; thanks to a comment from DON, I found the "missing" spare blade inside the handle!!

Beat copper cutters you can get

Great copper cutters, use for hvac, great for tight spaces an the handle shape makes it easy to tighten unlike other copper cutters

Super compact high quality pipe cutter

I had the older version of this for 20+ years for working on bicycles (like cutting handlebars and steer tubes). I upgraded to this one that opens up to 1-1/8", which is great for cutting the modern size steer tube. It's also great to know they are still made in U.S.A.!!

Works for me

I had some limited clearance cuts to make to pull out an old filter system. This worked fine for the half dozen cuts I needed to make. No problems with the cut, and no apparent wear or damage to the tool.

Fiddly but does the job

This tube cutter is great if you just doing a couple of cuts here and there. But its a little fiddle as you have to tighten it with each turn around the pipe. If you;re doing a lot of cuts, get dedicate cutters for the different pipe sizes. But if you're just doing a little DIY, then this is a good value for the money.

Hochwertig

Gekauft, um die Sattelstütze meines Trekking-Bikes (Alu, Durchmesser 27,2 mm) sowie die Lenkerenden zu kürzen. Sehr gute und scharfe Klinge, spurhaltig -schneidet kein "Gewinde"- Wichtig: Nicht zu fest anziehen, mindestens 2 bis 3 Umdrehungen, ehe der ovale und sehr gut zu dosierende Handgriff wieder mit Gefühl nachgezogen wird. Ergebnis absolut zufriedenstellend! An der Rohraussenseite kaum Grate, es genügt eine kleine Flachfeile, für innen eine Rundfeile. Stabiles und wertiges Werkzeug, mit dem das Arbeiten Freude macht!

Klein und doch sehr fein.

Da merkt man, dass Qualität ihren Preis hat. Auch wenn der Rohrschneider sehr klein ist, so liegt der doch sehr gut in der Hand und liefert ein sehr gutes Schnittbild. Ich würde aber auch nur Rohre bis ca. 22mm schneiden. Bei größeren fehlt einfach der Hebel. Ich benutze ihn auch an schlecht zugänglichen Stellen. Durch die Stellschraube wird das Schneiderad sehr gut im 90° Winkel an das Rohr gedrückt. Das Schneiderad ist perfekt fixiert und drückt sich nicht zur Seite weg. Der Griff des Stellrads ist nicht rund (leicht oval) und erleichtert dadurch, aufgrund der geringen Gesamtgröße des Schneiders, das Einstellen des Anstelldrucks zusätzlich. Ich kann nur sagen, so einen Schneider oder keinen. Für mich gibt es nur RIDGID und die gelben. Die roten billigen aus dem Baumarkt sind das Papier des Kassenzettels nicht wert.

DIY was easy!

I had to replace a shutoff valve by first cutting the old one off. As a DIYer, I always take plumbing very seriously in the hope of avoiding any potential leaks. I was very happy to discover that this gadget was easy to use and did its job well!
