Perfect for Old Dog !
I have a 10 yr old Labrador who has fallen off my bed at least 1/2 doz times. She rolled over in her sleep again the other night and hit the floor with a thud and then seemed very confused. I always have to chuckle but in truth the bed is 30" from the floor and it is a hardwood floor...so not really funny, she could break a leg. I ordered this the next morning. I have a Full size Sleep Number bed on a platform and this rail worked out just fine. A little tough fishing the anchor straps under the mattress to the other side since there are air hoses hooked up to the bed, it can't be lifted much. At least being air it was light ! It stands 10" above the mattress, so no chance of anymore falls ! I would have preferred the 33" safety rail but it cost more. I was going to make one out of PVC but by the time I priced all the angle connectors and pipe out plus some fabric to cover the frame, this was a pretty good deal. I will likely make a new slip cover for it, White isn't very practical for a dog. I like that it folds down to make the bed too ! She seemed to understand it's purpose too. Jumped up on the bed and looked over the top of it at the floor wagging. Happy & safe !

If the cords were a little longer
I guess it’s assumed that this type of product will only be used in the lateral walls of any size bed. But I actually have it on the foot of my bed, which is a Full. And it works perfectly fine but the support straps aren’t really long enough to create proper stability. If I had a king size bed and was essentially using this as a footboard, I don’t think it would work. It is pretty much doing the job, but since it’s not actually supported on the frame as it’s intended to be, the mattress isn’t really keeping it from sliding completely

Would have been so much easier with 2 people.
My kids have wooden triple bunk beds. Unfortunately, the bed rail on the middle bunk was not designed to withstand ant resistance with the way it was secured to the bed and out broke shortly after assembly. We purchased this rail abd installed it on the middle bunk. The rail ends that grab the mattress in either side are thick and not designed to fit inside the frame of the bunk bed with the mattress. It took a lot of maneuvering, but we finally managed. It seems sturdy enough that it will prevent my kids from falling out of bed, but I wouldn't let them hang from it or anything (like monkeys, I mean kids do). The locks to keep the rail upright seem very sturdy too and because they're inside the bunk bed frame, the kids can't unlock them easily.

Good for price!
It does what it's supposed to do, and it's a good length and sturdy! There's a small gap sort of between the rail and the bed, and ice kinda had to put something in there so the baby doesn't roll partially in it. Not a problem for me since my baby is older! I also don't love that the straps to secure it aren't adjustable in length and are made for a king size bed or something. I couldn't hook it on the box spring like I was supposed to. It hasn't seemed to affect how sturdy it is, since the mattress is still pressed on those straps and holding everything in place, but it's obnoxious that they dangle uselessly on the opposite side of the bed lol

Worked well for foot of bed
I needed something to prevent my huge comforter from sneaking off the foot of the bed at night and this worked perfect. I have a Queen sized bed and the straps were meant to go under the mattress side to side, not fit bottom to head, so I just cut those off. It fits nicely between the box spring and mattress and my comforter now stays put all night. Easy to change sheets without having to remove it, too!

Why did I wait so long to get this?
When I saw the pieces in the box I was like UGH, but this was easy to put together for sure. Installation was a breeze. My preschooler fell off the bed in his sleep because he sleeps like a wild animal, turning his body like a clock, kicking, flailing. I was always on alert as I'm trying to fall asleep because I was afraid of hearing a big thud. Now that we have the rail up (which is really sturdy), he can sleep however he wants, and I sleep much better too. Highly recommend, totally worth the price.

Decent rail, a bit tricky to install
I am using this rail on a bed that has slats under the mattress. I saw in the reviews and Q&A section that this is either impossible or very tricky depending on which review I read. That aside I decided to take a chance on this product. Assembly was a little tricky as the instructions are very minimal. Luckily the width of the parts that slide under the mattress matched the width of my slats, however this method should work on any slat bed. To keep the rails in place I used a roll of Velcro which I cut to size and secured the rail to the slats. I used three strips per side and so far (3 weeks in) the rail has been rock solid.

Easy to install
This product is easy to install and to drop down when stripping the bed. The only issue we have come across is the support straps coming loose after use. It took several months to happen so be sure to monitor their tightness.

Cosleeping
So of course there's the "don't use for cosleeping" warning since cosleeping isn't socially acceptable (ha) but we've used this for cosleeping with our older baby turned toddler and it is fantastic: I would recommend it for cosleeping families who have done the research and made the choice to bed share. The side flips down to make the bed, but locks sturdily in place. It is easy to adjust, take down and put together: I've had no trouble travelling with it. It closes in tight to the bed. I haven't tried any other bedrails but I can't imagine how one can be better!

Do not buy it...at any price
I never write negative reviews but i guess there is a first time for everything. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST ITEM THAT I'VE EVER PURCHASED ON AMAZON. The design of this thing is flawed . 1st: unless your child's mattress weights 50pounds this thing will never be stable because it's relying on the weight above for stability. Doesnt work with the mattress itself because it's too light. Doesnt work with the kid in the bed because the kid's weight is not evenly distributed in the bed. 2nd: even if you have a 50pounds mattress and manage to make it stable, this thing is installed ON the metallic structure so it elevates one side of the mattress by about 1.5inches and the bed is not levelled anymore. 3rd: staps are loose, even when locked, and the belts slide even with a 5pounds pull. Not returning it because it doesnt worth the trouble. Ended up ducktaping it UNDER the melallic structure and now it is super solid.

Fits without box spring if you are creative
For those who do not have a box spring, just use zip locks. I wanted to share this comment as personally was struggling to find any safety guard rail for a bed with no box spring, but good luck to find anything cheaper than $100+... So, I worked out this solution with zip locks. Tried myself - it's solid. Only con is you guard rail not foldable anymore, but we bought it not because of foldability feature.

It gets the job done
We bought this for our middle daughter, who just graduated from a toddler bed to the lower bunk of a full-size twin. Her mattress sits on slats, and that is not what this type of guard was designed for; it will work best if you have a flat surface underneath the mattress, like a box spring. Having said that, you can make it work, it's just a little more challenging. I have found that one side locks/releases much easier than the other side, which is a bit of a pain. However, once it's locked it's actually very sturdy and your child is not going to roll out of bed. Assembly - 5/5 Installation - 3/5 Sturdiness - 4/5 (this is where I docked a point for the locking mechanism)
