Great gate!!
I bought this gate and it's perfect for my little ones. It's also nice looking compared to other gates. There was a defect in one of the two i bought, but the company replaced the gate right away. I also bought rubber stoppers that you connect to each foot of the gate that attaches to your wall. It's called a wall nanny you can buy right here on amazon. If you buy both your gate isn't going anywhere. It is impossible for it to get knocked down. Do not tighten the gate too much when attaching it as the door won't line up right to close. As your tightening it close the door to make sure you have the correct amount of tension. Some reviews state that the door doesn't line up, but I believe it's human error from over tightening. It's unfortunate they didn't realize that because it's a really great gate.

Travel Trailer Gate
This gate is tall and sturdy. It's great for in the doorway of our travel trailer. It keeps our two #100 Bloodhounds safely inside. We also have this gate in our home at the bottom of the stairs. They stand up to heavy use.

limited usable width adjustment--like most of these 'adjustable' gates
Sturdy gate, good latch and door, but like most of these, they have limited useful range of adjustment because they rely upon a limited variety of section widths to mix and match, and adjusters solely at the ends. In some cases, this leaves too wide of a gap at the wall. In my case, I was trying to accommodate a 55" opening with a 5/8" baseboard trim on the bottom (so less than 54" there). The opening was 1/2" too narrow at the bottom to use all the sections (I even stripped the adjusters down to the bare minimum with thumbwheels on just one side at the top and none on the bottom) so I had to eliminate the narrowest section and open up the adjusters to the absolute max on the ends. The result was that with the fence centered and because of the section design, there was a gap wider than the spacing between the posts at one endand my puppy just slipped through. A small toddler could get stuck. A solution would be to supply a full height C shaped post insert that can be attached at either or both ends to close an excessive gap. Maybe a snap in piece(es) with two pegs top and bottom (two pegs keep it from turning) fitting into holes on the inside of the top and bottom rails. Could be designed for application on either side with extra long adjusters so the fence/gate can be offset requiring the piece only be used on one side. You're welcome to the idea, Regalo. Otherwise, clearly identify the various ranges the product accommodates without excessing gapping--It is not a continuous range!

Slightly disappointed in Regalo
Went with this gate because our previous Regalo lasted 8 years through many beatings by large dogs, rowdy children, and adults who refuse to learn how to operate it and keep bashing the crap out of it... The new one is ok. It looks nice, assembles easily, but just feels flimsy compared to the one we had to retire... This one definitely will not withstand the thick headed adults around here... I'll try a different brand next time

Can be tricky to unlock
It can be tricky to unlock but I give it 5 stars for sturdiness. We have a golden retriever that’s really bad at jumping on the gates and draping his arms over. It holds his weight and wiggly body with ease.

Worked well once I figured it out!
At first I thought it was defective but you gotta read the little paper that comes with it to see that the pressure used when putting it up will close the gate, the bars are supposed to be like that. When extended out to the full length it's not the sturdiest but it still gets the job done. I use mine to keep my dogs out of the living room and it works. If they would jump on it and put alot of pressure on it, it would probably fall over. If your using this for a kid you might want to make sure it's not fully stretched. If they grabbed the bars and were shaking them or trying to push through it might not hold. Mine has been knocked loose a few times by my grandkids.

Baby gate good for toddlers
This gate is of good quality and is nice looking. We put the gate up and as with anything new the kids couldn't leave it alone. I purchased it to keep a toddler out of the kitchen. He walks up and shakes it and doesn't dislodge it, but his older brother did try it and pushed the stop right off. We realigned it and tightened it back down and it is still working for the purpose I bought it for. It is in a 4 foot span so I didn't expect it to be very tight, but it is actually better than I thought it would be. I would recommend it for use with toddlers but not older children who likes to test limits of things, lol.
