Great light diffusing. Lightweight, and customizable.
I bought this for the half circle arch window in the front of my westerly facing home. I use that room as my work form home office, and the afternoon sun heats that room up quite a bit late in the day. This paper fabric shade is easily cut to size for perfect half circle arches. My window turned out to be not quite perfect, and is a little wider on the sides / shorter on the top of the arch. You can manually trace/trim the required shape out of the shade. In my case, I just trimmed the whole thing to the same size to fit the shortest part of the arch, and then spread the sides apart slightly in the plastic base. Most windows have 1/2" or more of frame that can hide some of these differences as well. Also, instead of adhering the bottom of the shade directly to my window frame/ledge, I adhered it to two thin strips of wood roughly the width of the plastic holder so that when in place, they fill the base of the window itself (think two wood paint stirrers, but maybe a little longer and maybe a little less wide.) This allows me to easily fold up and / or remove the shade altogether if I ever want to have full direct sunlight. I also have a cat who like to climb and she has messed up the shade in the past, so with this change I can easily take it down, fix the pleats and put it back up. I've had two of these (thanks to aforementioned cat,) and they don't appear to yellow or get appreciably brittle as I have seen in other cellular / paper shades. They do a good job of diffusing the direct sunlight, and while they don't prevent the room from warming up, they do keep it at least a little cooler, and provide a more even light through the window.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!!
Man, I wish I would have known about these 2 years ago. We've been dealing with the sun coming in blinding everyone since we purchased this house. I was under the impression that I would need a custom blind made special for this window and then I found this. Received the package, the shade has a built in measurement for exactly what you need, I used a knife, cut it to fit and installed it. The only "difficulty" I had was that my window sill is on a slant, so it's not exactly strait up. This caused the adhesive near the clear plastic holder in the middle to pull off due to the torque of it slanting out. Easy fix, I used some 3M double sided tape on the clear plastic holder and it's been fine since. They should probably add adhesive to the clear plastic holder as well. This stuff is cheap enough and easy enough to work with, even if you make a mistake, order another one. Just the relief of not having the sun in your face, on your computer monitors, etc. Amazing!

Perfect cover!
My daughter always complains about the sun shining right into her room, also it is much hotter as well. This is a perfect solution! This window is huge so I'm so glad I found this. Easy to install! We cut about 3 inches off and the ruler built into the blind (on the side) was a huge help with that! Price was fantastic for the benefits of having this curved window covered. Thanks!!

It does what it says.
This will not blackout the room but it doesn't say it will either. Just letting you know from the jump. It does knock the glare from sunlight off my monitors though. Happy overall, but I still would like to know why something like this cost so much for what it is.

What I needed!
This product was just what I needed. I have two arch windows upstairs in separate bedrooms. The windows are opposite of each other, one gets full morning light while the other gets full evening light. It causes the upstairs to heat up very quickly and it stays hot. Although, my windows were not true arches, they were very close. These shades were great to be able to cut to the needed size. I ordered two of them. However, I used only one shade for both windows. I used both of the plastic holders, one on each window. I cut them, relatively easy with my rotary fabric cutter and put them in the windows on the plastic holder. I didn't need to glue them down (at least not yet). They look good enough with the tan/beige color closer to the wood blinds in the rest of the window. The price was great as I had gotten a quote for $500 for wood blinds. For $50 I got two blinds with an extra one if something happens to the two in the window. The material for the shades is relatively delicate and I handled them appropriately with no issues. Glad I got them!

For only 20 dollars and I can block the sun from shinning directly into my son's room. What I deal ! Well worth every penny !!

Does the job, but ...
Installation is a piece of cake if your window opening is a perfect semicircle - meaning the height of the opening is exactly one half the width. Mine isn't, and so it took some fairly tricky snipping to get it to fit properly - and opening & closing are challenging, so I've left it closed for a while now, and it does a great job of blocking the afternoon/evening light from the setting sun. Speaking of opening & closing, my window is quite high, and even though I am over 6 feet tall I have to climb onto a chair to open or close the shade. I plan to engineer some sort of extended rod to make it easier to open/close, but it would have been great if that had been part of the product. Most half-circle windows like mine tend to be high up, so it would be great to have a product that makes it easier to open and close the shade. Alas - evidently such a product doesn't exist!

Love that this is actually fabric and not paper. My window width is 36" so I have enough fabric left over in the event I need it. Easy to install, looks great and great price!

no light blocking
I gave 3 star because when I bought I thought light filtering thinking also blocking light but this shade let almost all lights through when opened to full arc. its easy to install and cut to size but feels very cheap material. if you are not careful you can easily damage or tear it. Also you need something solid at bottom to stick the shade to so if your windows are open you at bottom of your arc you can not install it. I have to add extra wood support at bottom.

Good buy
Though the instructions were a bit confusing at places, it was basically easy to install. Had to take the help of YouTube at places. Overall, very satisfied with the product. It's esthetic and is doing its job.
