It works great!

I read the reviews on this product and for the most part, it seemed pretty good and it was actually on back order. The price was inexpensive compared to the local hardware "store brand" so I thought I would give it a try. It arrived only about a week or so later and to my surprise, it worked better than the other "store brands" I have bought in the past that were more expensive. Some of the comments say that it dried up fast once they opened it and they had to throw it away.. well...It will not dry up on you if you clean the lip of the container and lid and secure the lid with a mallet (soft hammer) or another fashion, but put the lid on a clean lip and make sure the lid is pushed all the way down. It dries on the walls so fast I didn't even keep time..and it does not shrink into the hole once it is dried (and I had one as big as a dime) I am sure it will be just as successful filling in a larger hole based on its consistency and ability to keep shape. I recommend this product!

Quick and easy, but a little hard to spread

I used this to cover up holes and large patches of paint that had flaked off the wall. The product is smooth and relatively easy to apply, but you have to spread it just right so that the excess doesn't keep pilling. Admittedly, I wasn't using a professional scraper. However, it's perfectly functional and great for beginners to apply for small fixes on walls.

Great putty for filling small nail holes etc. After spackling, go over area with a damp cloth and it won’t matte the paint around the repaired hole.

Does the job!

I was shocked since it’s only $3 but it filled up all the tv mount and thumbtack holes in my room walls. U do have to sand it with a little paper and then paint over but it works!

Wow great stuff

I'm always skeptical when I see anything that is touted as "onetime". Because it's never really onetime. But lo and behold this is actually one time. Get a putty knife, pack the spackling into the hole, roughly, and the area surrounding the hole, scrape away the excess and you have yourself a well filled hole that is completely flat. It also dries rather quickly making it easy to work with. It really is just apply, flatten and forget. You can sand down the dried spackling like traditional dried mud to get a smoother finish. It goes on and scrapes away easy and works very consistently. Unlike mud or drywall compound, applying this spackling, which is closer to a paste in consistency, is a lot easier and not nearly as messy. Overall great product for when you have some holes to patch or small divot in your wall that needs filling. You don't even need to be any kind of a professionals to get great results. Note: this 1/2 pint mini tub had allowed me to fill in roughy 3 dozen holes and dents in my wall and I've only thus far used a little more than half of whats in the tub.

Small and dry

The product is very small for the price and mine has arrived with dried top. I will try to scrape it or cut it off and use the middle. I would not buy it again.
