Worked pretty good on my exhaust leak. It just stinks for a week when it gets hot

Kinda works
I have an old cast iron pipe under the house. I sanded, cleaned with a soap wand, wiped it down, then applied this product. It fell off in minutes. See product turd under pipe. Luckily I had a backup plan with this tape to buy time to replace the pipe. This epoxy does work very well on new, clean metal. I glued two pieces of sheet metal together in an experiment.

THIS STUFF IS INSANE
Ive used a lot of epoxy putty in my time of making stuff. I usually have the problem of it setting up too fast to mix it all the way through or the colors of the two parts being too close to accurately tell if I had mixed it properly. This putty is not like those. I had bought it to use for a quick mockup of a guitar mod, and wanted to later remove it to cast a more permanent solution. I had put tape between the putty and the guitar, but did not put tape between the putty and this smooth, coated piece of metal. Attached picture is after I hit the putty with the sharper side of a hammer for a couple minutes. This stuff does not joke around and I will be ordering more of it in the near future. Highly recommend for building up material while also gluing two things together

best thing ever!!!
It worked amazingly, had a metal 2" pipe that literally rusted all the way through where the threads met the other pipe for my septic. didnt just change pipe because its a VERY old school way of doing it where they used something similar to secure a 2" into a 3" with a threaded plate adapter and secured it with the putty. If even a crack in the 3" I would have to replace the pipe that goes through the cement wall of my house so I decided to try this stuff after searching tons of reviews and videos and pictures and so on...Did it about 2 months ago now and dont have any leaks, I CANNOT stress enough to make sure you meade it extremely well together or it will not make a good bond, most of these reviews saying its bad Im sure were due to laziness when it comes to mixing it together, took me about 5 mins or so just molding it together to feel like I had a good mix and so far worth every penny and time spent!!

I use a lot of this and it is great.
This stuff is great. I use it for making bamboo canes and fill the hollow chambers in the cane at the joint (both shaft and handle) when mounting the handle. A huge reinforcement plus a 3-1/2" case hardened deck screw down the center of the epoxy plugs, drilled, tapped with the screw itself, reinstalled and glued with regular two part paste epoxy to make it even stronger. On canes/snake hooks for rough use, I start with thick wall cane (I have 3-4 different species growing around my place), then mount the handle and let everything set. Then, I come back and apply ~1/8"-1/4" layer down the shaft 2" and up over the top of the handle (maintaining the approx width of the shaft), spanning the joint exterior for EVEN MORE strength in all directions. Blue painter's tape helps keep a sharp edge with both putty and paint. Then, a quick sanding to smooth and 2-3 coats of epoxy spray paint give me an attractive high strength joint. I have used this configuration for lightweight snake hooks to flip tin, plywood, small fallen trees and moderate stumps without putting my fingers under them for ol' buzz tail to bite. One tube will do approx 2- 1" canes when used as I described. I have included a pic of my walking cane with the heavy duty mount I described. I can't go in the woods anymore but want it to be stout if my legs drop me and I need to hook and pull myself up. On this one, I painted below the reinforcement down to the next joint in the cane. The grip is excellent PVC tape that does not use glue but my fancy cane has a leather grip-- much nicer looking. I have been using this cane constantly for two years and it has bumps and scratches but is as solid as the day it was made.

BEST EPOXY THAT I HAVE USED!!!
This epoxy is THE BEST that I have used and it does EVERYTHING that it is advertised to do. It will bond to metals (including cast iron, copper, etc...) in minutes and it hardens to the toughness of steel within 30 - 60 minutes. In addition, it is 100% TRUE that this epoxy will constantly withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees without degrading and it withstands water as well. The key to using this product is to ensure that you properly prep the surface of the metal that you are adhering this product to by thoroughly cleaning the surface with rubbing alcohol, a wire brush, sandpaper, and/or rag to ensure that the surface is clean. Then (using rubber gloves) you peel off a piece of the epoxy and roll it in your hand to mix it thoroughly (with the activator) and then apply it to the surface you wish to repair. You can mold it and shape it as you please within 3-5 minutes of mixing the epoxy together and that is another benefit of this product. The product will bond to metal in minutes and harden within 30-60 minutes. After 60 minutes, the repair is complete and you can use the metal for it's desire purpose. I give this product an easy 5 stars because it does EXACTLY what it is advertised to do. I just wish that the company would offer a liquid form of this product (maybe in a quart size) that you could mix together into a paste for larger applications but this product works and repairs as advertised - GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Worked great for repairing a solid guitar body
I used this stuff to reshape and clean up the poorly milled and routed areas in a solid guitar body. Overall, it works pretty well with wood, and the fast cure time is a big plus. Wood filler either takes too long to set up, or simply isn't strong enough. It doesn't always work perfectly, and I had to redo some spots two or three times, but it probably has more to do with using it with wood, and the shortcomings of trying to fix something organic with a grain to it. It's pretty obvious that you probably wouldn't want to use this stuff with either an acoustic instrument, nor would you want to use it on something showing the grain (with a translucent finish), but that's probably the only limitation. Any guitar body with an opaque finish is a good candidate, and you'd probably be using primers that would be either gray or white (this stuff has a grayish color). So the only reason for four stars instead of five is that it isn't perfect for wood repairs, which is what I use it for.
