A little hard to wrangle, but good enough for small jobs

This is my first time working with copper pipes, but I needed to replace an outdoor freeze proof faucet, and the old one wouldn't come loose, so I had to cut the end off the pipe and put on a new fitting. I was working with 3/8" pipe, and it was a bit tricky to keep the tool straight as I turned it around. It got the job done, but it would probably work better if it had more blades to help keep it aligned. But, that's why it's so cheap, I guess. One thing worth noting is that it seems to cut by turning counter-clockwise. The blades appear to only go one direction. It seemed counter-intuitive, but once I figured that out and applied some pressured, it did a decent job. I found that reaming the inside first and then the outside led to a cleaner result. And then definitely follow up with an emery cloth or sand cloth or whatever and try to finish any last deburring with that.

great to ream outside of PVC

As people know, you need to debur PVC after you cut it and before gluing a connector. The problem with reaming pens is that while they work great on the inside edge, they do not do as well on the outside edge. Also they are hard to use for in ground repairs of PVC. This works great. Exactly what I needed and edges seem sharp. Hopefully will last a while. (I had a break on 315 PVC pipe in my sprinkler system. 315 PVC pipe is thin walled and will not cut with a standard PVC cutter - the PVC cracks, so needed to use a hacksaw, which leaves rough edges that need to be deburred.)

Does what it's expected to do.

Nice little deburring tool. Little on the large side so if you're looking at really close quarters you'd be better off with some plumbers deburring tape. Luckily it made it in the sapce I had to work with.

Works well

Works well for what it is, but I can already see the reaming portion of the tool wearing out a bit. You may be better off just using one of the reaming pens rather than using this tool.

Copper pipe cleaner

When you cut copper pipe you will leave a ridge and this tool takes it out. Necessary tool.
