Best you'll get for a 4 year old
Ordered and tried 4 different ear pro for my 4 year old to go to monster trucks. All were very cheap with exception to these. Ear pads are soft and they don't try to squeeze her brain out even though they have a plastic headband. Only thing that would make these better were if the headband were metal so you can adjust the squeeze. I don't recommend these for kids under 3-4 depending on your kid's dome size. My 4 year old is petite and they were adjusted to their smallest position.

It's hard to buy ear muffs for kids online. I ordered several pairs to test them out. Procase Kids Safety Ear Muffs PROHEAR 032 Kids Ear protection safety ear muffs Dr. Meter EM100 Kids protective earmuffs 3M Kids Hearing Protection Plus ZOHAN EM030 Kids Ear Protection Safety Ear Muffs, [Upgraded] My kids tested each in terms of sound and comfort. I personally tested each of them in front of some consistently loud music, and ended up testing two pairs on a plane ride later. Here are my top 3 picks: Procase Kids Safety Ear muffs Dr. Meter EM100 ZOHAN EM030 These three items are nearly identical in their sound muffling ability. The 3M Kids were about the same, too, but their fit over the ears was a little bit too big and allowed sound to creep in. The Dr. Meter and Procase are nearly identical in size and fit. ZOHAN EM030 was perhaps more comfortable, but the ear cans were definitely larger. I tested ZOHAN and Dr. Meter on a plane, and could not tell a difference between the two in noise reduction, but the ZOHAN was more comfortable due to the thicker, softer ear cups. The 3M kids hearing protection plus was very tall and the bottoms stuck down below the curve of my kids jaw line, so sound would leak in there. However, for comfort, my kids rated them highly. The PROHEAR 032 Kids Ear protection was the absolute worst. There was hardly any sound protection offered. Perhaps if there were sounds that were like a hiss, they would block it, but as far as music was concerned, we all agreed they were terrible. Don't Bother with those.

A little loose for me, but my son likes them.
I wanted to like these, but unfortunately they are very loosely fitted for me. They still cancel out noise well, but I felt like they were going to fall off. My son likes them though and they seem to be comfortable for him. So it depends on fit preference. If you're looking for a looser fit or something that won't cause irritation with extended use, these might be for you. If you like the pressure and don't like loose things on your head, do not buy these. There is another plain sky blue style by 3M that are way better and are just as good quality that I use daily.

Worked perfectly!
Took my monster truck fanatic to Monster Jam front row seats and pit passes… he didn’t seem bothered by the noise a bit! in fact he was fine without the headphones but I wanted to protect him from any damage. The headphones were a bit small but stretched enough. I’d definitely recommend for any noisy event or activity that may be too loud for youngsters!

Remember folks - hearing loss is FOREVER. Protect your kids hearing. Also - I hate when people say "noise cancellation". All of these muffs are passive noise REDUCTION. All they do is muffle/reduce the noise through physically blocking it. You will still hear things. These are just to reduce dangerous sounds to safer levels. Its still possible for sounds to *still* be dangerously loud if exposure goes on too long. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk...now on to the review.... Once my buddy graduated from the little infant size ones you see everywhere...I wanted something in between that and adult size. These are a good fit. My 3 year old (who's on the smaller size) easily fits into them. Being the nerd I am about hearing protection, I wanted to make sure that he could get a good seal with them, and that they were effective. Sizing surprise - I was curious about the amount of noise reduction and put them on my head. I was surprised to see that they expanded all the way to accommodate my adult head (they were at the max size however)....So know that these will be able to grow with your kid for as long as needed. Noise reduction - after putting them on my head - I am agree with what the box says - and think they are somewhere in the 23db range. Not the best, but about average for kids hearing protection. I wish they were a bit better for really loud events like Monster Jam...where it still might be scary, but they will protect enough for the short duration exposure. Long term? - My only complaint with these style muffs, is that I've had other 3m hearing protection where the plastic expansion thingy's seem to wear out. The muffs still do their job and more or less stay in place...but you have to fiddle with them more to keep them sized right.

My 2.5 year Old Toddler Approved.
We went to an air show and initially my 2yr old didn’t want to wear it but after one flyby with me covering her ears, she wanted it back on. After that she didn’t mind wearing it the entire air show. After that she didn’t want me to take it off. I cannot say it is actual NRR per rating but I believe them since I do use 3M earmuff at work. I didn’t want some unknown brand to protect my daughters ears. I recommend this product.

A little tight
I bought 2 of these; one for my little brother, and one for me. (We're both autistic and our hearing is enhanced ? so these are great for us!!) They are kind of tight, but that could be a good thing since they can't exactly fall off just like that. They are adjustable, and work as intended, though. I just do think that they're a little pricy but they'll definitely last a while, I think.

Le quedó muy bien a mi niña de 3 años. Son pequeños eso sí, pero si sirvió. Lo compramos para que nos acompañe a un concierto y buscando prevenir que este expuesta a mucho ruido por mucho tiempo, y para ese fin funcionan muy bien.

Confortável e isola o ruído porém se seu filho for sensível a ruídos provavelmente vai precisar de uma proteção melhor. Para fogos de artifício mesmo com 1 ou 2 km de distância não é eficiente
