Good muffs
Keep all the noise out and comfortable to wear.

Does the job and completely adjustable
Ear cups are big enough on this model, as opposed to every other version I tried. Exactly as advertised. Will likely order another as backup

Stick with 3M
I own a Peltor Sport Ultimate Hearing Protector, NRR 30 dB, which has worked out pretty well. The noise reduction and insulation over the ears are incredible. The downsides are the fitting over the head is a bit tight and it can be heavy. I wanted an alternative which would be a bit less bulky so I purchased a G &F Products. That was a huge mistake; it was broken upon arrival, and the company never responded to my multiple emails. Eventually, because of the unresponsiveness, Amazon simply refunded me. From a number of comments from other earmuffs, I realized I should stick with 3M. I was concerned about the lower NRR 25 dB rating of this model and a conclusion from an online article that indicated it was weaker at lower frequencies. So far, I’m pleased with the purchase. The fit is better than the Sport Ultimate, and the noise reduction is comparable for what I need it to block out.

These are probably exactly what you need
I spent WAY too long reading about the million options online for ear protection. I've been setting up a woodworking shop, and already exposed myself to more noise than I should before buying these (I did not think that an impact driver would cause ringing in the ears -- news flash: it does -- especially if you're putting a 3/4" hole through a 2 x 4). Reading about all the products, I started to worry if I would be getting enough decibels of noise protection. Should I spend $20 and get X dB? or $30 and get X+3dB? or $50 and get X+6dB?! Too many choices. After all that research I decided to try these, which as you know are not the highest rating, but got good reviews. These are spectacular, and I would bet that unless you are working at the airport, they're probably enough for whatever you're doing. I have used impact driver, miter saw, shop vac, jigsaw, router. With these on my head, there is absolutely minimal "noise" and certainly not at any kind of level that I would call problematic. One thing to note that is listed on the actual packaging, but none of these Amazon descriptions include, is that the noise rating is the overall broadband noise reduction. But at higher frequencies, the reduction is much, much higher. The kind of sound that is gonna give you ringing in your ears is the mid-to-high frequencies, and those are obliterated by these headphones (and probably are by any decent pair of phones). Long story short, I would definitely give these a try before spending more, and see if you're happy. I am.

im in love
bought these as sensory earmuffs to help with my sensory overload & omg, im sooo glad i did! i could actually cry. ive tried noise canceling headphones which didnt really help since usually they worked better with sound (which is the thing i want to avoid) + the ones ive tried havent been very comfortable & unfortunately expensive. these however truly do the job! + i can use earbuds along with them if i wanted! i was worried about them being heavy but honestly they look a lot heavier than they actually are the weight isnt even that noticable, i think the most noticable thing is the pressure around your ears but that makes sense since they're meant to fit snug to block noise better so im not complaining but it may be an issue for people who deal with ear problems/pain/infections. i was worried they didnt adjust at first but they do it just takes a bit more effort to adjust than over the ear headphones but not in a bad way, just different. honestly the only complaint i really have is i wish these came in other colors! i know these aren't listed as sensory earmuffs but in general sensory earmuffs are usually marketed towards children only & definitely the only cute ones are for kids, which is nice! im glad thats a thing! but like there are a lot of adults with sensory issues too! having more color choices would just be the cherry on top. i also dont wear these all the time because too much avoidance of sound can make the overload worse when i am exposed to it but they're very very nice for when i need a break for a few minutes or hours, i have tinnitus so its never truly silent for me but using these have still saved me from sensory meltdowns multiple times! im genuinely grateful for that & the fact that they're actually affordable please never change that! more people should be able to experience them. overall these are amazing, they're affordable, lightweight, comfortable, & definitely help reduce background noise! thank you :+)

Great for working with garden devices
My hearing specialist suggested that I get a pair of noise reduction earmuffs for work in my garden with my lawn mower, leaf blower, and weed wacker. Because I value my hearing, I decided not to go with the less expensive models, but stick to a know brand. I'm glad I did. These 3M earmuffs fit well, and cancel out a good amount of noise. They are comfortable enough to wear for several hours.

they work good
They cancel out noise very good and fit comfortably for hours of work. Have a cheap hand sander from China that makes a huge racket. Neighbors get very annoyed when using it and my ears ring for days. Now my ears don't ring afterward, but the neighbors are still having fits. These earmuffs are recommended. The headband adjust within the plastic they slide into. However, I'm 6' tall and they just fit my big head and go over the ears comfortably...that should help some of you guys. I'd say they're keepers, and the price says that also.

Need ear plugs to finish the job
These don’t work as good as a pair like them that doesn’t attach to a hard hat. I have to use ear plugs to get a better sound blocking barrier. They work ok, just not really good or great.

ADJUSTABLE! Muffles most sounds
It is ADJUSTABLE, I didn't realize at first, but if you pull a bit first time, it works. I have a big head (wear XXL hats) and works perfectly. Works on my "S" (small) size wife's head with the default length. Yes, bought two, as they are awesome! Does muffle any sound from the house, if you're not paying attention someone can enter your room without you noticing. Great for reading, praying, meditating, anything where you need to ignore the others from the house or the dog's barking (your own dog, not the neighbor's, and yes, you don't hear it at all when he barks on the other floor). You can probably sleep with them too, but only on your back or belly, too big for sleeping on your side. They are very light too, despite the looks. Definitely recommended! I wish they offered some other colors, something to wear at home, these are intended for construction workers so they're very visible, but when wearing them at home, you want the opposite, to blend in.

3M earmuffs are a must over cheaper plastic earmuffs
Seems like any 3M peltor earmuffs.Bought it for my onboard earmuff protection,as working in the engine room.A bit thicker, would have preferred a more sleeker design. If buying do consider the 3M peltor X4A over this. If anyone laughs at you wearing that's okay coz you can hear you laugh when you're like 80 years old????

Pretty Effective
I've had these for a few days and so far am pretty pleased with them. I wanted them to block out external traffic and construction noise (there's a house being built on the property and constant excavation work, and also nearby sewer work; ear plugs were not cutting it) while I was resting or trying to read. They do a good job doing this. They are a little uncomfortable to wear for lengthy periods (more than an hour or so), and so far I haven't managed to sleep wearing them, but with practice suspect it may be possible to do so, at least for short periods or when I am very tired. They do provide a sense of peace while trying to read or rest during noise. They will muffle but not block out ordinary speech up close, but are good for things like traffic noise, other people making noise upstairs or in different rooms, and external traffic and work noise. I suspect they'd do a good job of hearing protection against power tool use, mowing, and similar applications.

Super Comfortable
One of the most comfortable set of hearing protection I have ever put on. Very high quality as expected from 3M. I use it for cutting wood on my table saw and circular saw in the garage and it definitely blocks out more noise that my other ones I had from a discount store. The build quality feels that it will last a very long time.

Pretty good at reducing loud blender noise!
Well worth what I paid. Using it for reducing noise using my Vitamix (everyday). Certainly helps! I can of course still hear the blender working but very manageable. Can’t hear the kitchen microwave fan when wearing them! A bit of a snug fit and I have an average sized head. I don’t wear them that long to bother me. I am so far happy with these noise reducing ear pads. They seem well made and hope they last. Update! a few weeks later and I still really like them! They seem very sturdy! Again a bit snug so if you have a large sized head they will be a tight fit!
