Fantastic to see accurate tank levels in real time
I like the ability to see how much propane is in my tanks using their app on my phone. They just attach to the bottom of the tank using magnets. But, they ARE a bit touchy. The location on the bottom of the tank is very important. I found that the thickness of the paint on my brand-new RV tanks was thick enough that the indicated signal quality was poor. I sanded down the paint a bit, and used a piece of duct-tape to hold the sensors more firmly in place, and this helped a lot. I also found that sometimes they eat through batteries very quickly. Like, they go from indicated full-charge to low-charge in hours. At least my first set did. So I ordered a replacement set. After ordering, I replaced the batteries in my original set again, and this time they didn't kill the batteries. (all from the same fresh pack of brand-new Duracell batteries...). So I'm still using the originals for now, keeping the new ones as spares.

RV full-timer must-have!
As full-timers in an RV, we need to know the levels of our propane at all times. These sensors seem to work well and are pretty accurate. They connect by bluetooth to an app that you download. The app is a little finicky and setup could have been a little smoother, but that is more of an app bug/software issue. The sensors also have to be in the perfect spot on the tank, or they will automatically read as 0%/EMPTY. Otherwise, the automatic updates of levels (you can set it to whatever level to alert you) are very helpful. I would recommend to anyone that uses propane regularly.

A must have for RVs
Looked for these after our LP tank on the RV ran out during the night when temps were down to freezing. Hubby had to go outside at 2:00 am in his pj’s to switch the tanks and that was when we started looking for these. We saw them mentioned in an article on an RV site and found there here on Amazon. Worth every penny! I don’t know how they work but they DO work well using the app on his phone.

They work great on my 30LB propane tanks
Work as advertised. I really like knowing where my propane levels are. These seem much more accurate than the analog LPG tank gauges.

Easy to Install and Does Just What it Should
It works well! It tends to read a little lower than my actual RV tank volume, but not by much. That's actually good though as it reminds me earlier when to get propane. I wish there was a wifi version so I can monitor when I'm not in the rig. I loved it so much I got one for my son and his fifth wheel.

No More Guessing
My RV has two 30 lb LP tanks these worked like a champ. I bought a returned item that was missing the contact greese but for the disco price a trip to Lowe’s and I’m still less than half of retail. The setup was easy and the phone app works great. Well pleased.

Follow instructions!!
Ok, I was ready to send this thing (2) back. I could Not get it to work. I tried several times and had 4 different people try to get it to work. Nope! After looking at all the you tube videos on it, and reading the favorable reviews here on Amazon, I went ahead and ordered it. After several attempts I just couldn't get it to work. So after throwing a tantrum, I was ready to send it back with a not so nice review. I tried it one last time. Duh! I feel that the secret to getting this thing to work is, PUT PLENTY OF DIALECTIC GREASE ON THE SENSOR!! It says put a pea size dap on the sensor. NOPE! Put quite a bit on it. If you have ever had an ultrasound done, you know you are covered in the jelly they use. SO, use lots of jelly ????. After doing that, it works great. No more having to go outside and disconnecting the tanks and shacking them, and then weighting them. I was so discussed with the product, I bought luggage scales to weigh them. No more. Friendly reminder, use plenty of grease! I'm now a Happy Camper!! Stay Safe.

Install Tricks to Make it Work .............
I had great difficulty getting these to work. Here is what I found to be necessary. Most are not mentioned in the instructions. If your tank happens to have thick walls, you will need to clean down to bare metal where the sensor is seated. The metal must be quite smooth. If you take the paint off with a Dremel or similar, you will need to polish out most of the scratches with emery cloth or a very fine file then emery cloth. Do all you can to create a flat spot the size of the sensor. Having a smoother sensor contact area seems to considerably help the units work. Depending on the curvature of the bottom of your tank, one magnet or the other may tend to pull down to the tank and cock the sensor so it does not make full contact with the tank. If so, shim the magnets with masking tape or similar so that the sensor remains flat on the tank with the two magnets just slightly above the adjacent tank surface. Don't use too much masking tape as the magnets have to pull the rubber sensor firmly against the tank. It can take 20 minutes or more for the rubber sensor to seat on the tank. Each time I moved mine, it took another 20 minutes or more for the magnets to "form" the sensor against the tank. Before going back to re-install a sensor that is reading empty when it should not, exit and re-start the app. Also, changing tank and scale parameters (30 lb to 40lb and percent to inches) then back to the desired ones seemed to help (as well as exiting and re-entering the app after each change). Though maybe this just gave my sensors time to seat. If all else fails and you are sure the rubber sensor is being held firmly and evenly against the tank, give it 24 hours to mold to the tank surface. On one of mine I got full three star (asterisk) quality the day after the install. I tried a bit of silicon between the sensor and the tank thinking that filling voids between the sensor rubber surface and tank surface would help but it seemed to keep the units from working at all. If you need to perform the above tweaks, keep an eye on the "quality" meter (three vertical asterisks). Until you get at least one asterisk, you will get only erratic readings. As the sensor seats over 20 minutes or more (maybe much more), you should get additional asterisks. If you don't, go through the above steps. And if all seems well, give the sensor more time to seat, maybe 24 hours. My units came with the aluminum tank feet but I did not use them. Instead I epoxied four 2" x 3" x 0.5" pieces of wood to the metal shelf so that the metal rings on the bottom of my tanks would be held securely above the shelf. My sensors sat well above the bottom of the ring so could not hit the inch of wood extending within the ring. Finally, one of my tank metal supporting rings was welded a half inch or more off-center. Centering the sensor in that ring didn't work very well. Things got better when I saw that and moved it to there actual center of the bottom of the tank. As indicated by Mopeka, there is usually a bit of a flat spot there. Mine was minor but helpful. After several hours of the above, my two totally non-responsive sensors both are working great. I can't speak to longevity yet, but being able to see tank fill in percent on an app sure beats pouring hot water over the tanks over the last few days as they approach empty.

Not sure if it's the sensors working properly or the tank not being completely filled?
The seniors work great but I'm not sure I'm getting a true reading? I just had a 30 lb propane bottle filled, but the sensor only reads 85% full. Not sure if it's the fill or the sensor? The company making the sensors state they have made adjustments as to the bottle not being completely full with the pressure Gap in the tank. So it should read close to a 100% when full? I guess it will take several fills to get a true reading with the sensors.
