Completely cured my shin splints

Bought this quite a while back and recently remembered while looking through my purchase history. This thing completely (not even slightly exaggerating) cured my shin splints. Holy cow were they bad. Running was an impossibility, and even just walking hurt. And considering the active lifestyle i was leading at the time, it really impeded simple daily tasks like skating. Well, I wore this thing everywhere I went, no matter what because, strangely enough, I didn't feel any of the pain in my shin that I had before. I mean obviously that's what the product is supposed to do, but it absolutely blows my mind that something so simple could fix a recurring problem that I had for so many months before buying this. After wearing it for a few weeks straight the pain was completely gone. And I'll admit, at first I was quite hesitant to stop wearing it because I was afraid the pain would come right back like it had done quite a few times in the past (although the only thing I did to get the pain to go away before was resting the leg, avoiding running, skating etc). But I stopped wearing it and went right back into jogging every few days, skating to school, sparring, even jogging at the beach in the sand which used to tear my shin apart. All in all, this thing is a lifesaver if you have shin splints. Incredibly cheap, but make sure you look up the sizing chart to insure you don't waste your precious time/money. In this case, size does matter.

Great calf support

Love how breathable the material is and properly compresses on the calf. It does leave a temporary imprint after each use since it compresses but skin goes back to normal and that's the only con I have for this product. This is a great product to help compress and help aid the leg to being more sturdier and control leg pain. Side note: sizing matters so do properly find correct size. I feel it is important to know that getting the correct size matters to enjoying this product. I am a small size person but a medium fits. Thing to know is it's supposed to compress just enough to feel a little pressure on calf, not to cut circulation on leg or feel loose.

Got rid of my Pain!

I normally run on natural terrain (dirt trails). I joined a gym, because it gets too muddy to run in the winter. Running on a treadmill must have tore my calf muscles. I thought I just pulled my calves, but 3 months later the pain is still there. I took 2 weeks off, hoping it would heal, but it hasn't. I was tired of limping around everyday, so I purchased these to help my calves heal. As soon as I got them I put them on and for the first time in 3 months I have no, or very little pain! I didn't expect these to eliminate the pain immediately, but they did. I am a woman and have big muscular calves 16" and small ankles, so I was concerned they would not be tight low on my calf where the pain is. I ordered one size down (Medium)and they fit perfect. I have been wearing them all day under my jeans I hope my calves heal before shorts weather because I would look ridiculous in these things with shorts on.

Great support and terrific company

My husband needed this sleeve for his leg. He plays Pickleball and needed the support. It has been great, and he has been very pleased. I contacted the seller after receiving the first sleeve we ordered; it was too small. We had used the information given to order the correct size. Pro-Tech Athletics stood behind their product and immediately sent a larger size at no cost to us. They also asked us to donate the sleeve instead of returning , so our YMCA was happy to get the donation. Great product and terrific company!

This thing works wonders...

I was skeptical that anything could help my intense shin splints, located on the inside where the bone meets the muscle, and also a severe tightness deep within the calf. I ordered a size down (Medium) following recommendations on Amazon to do so. I used it to run a half marathon the day after I received it, terrified I would crash out of the race. Much to my wonderment, I barely felt a thing throughout the race, and the pain has disappeared ever since. I have no idea how, but sure enough I haven't had shin splint pain once since I wore it that one time! It may look a little silly, but a lot of people are turning to these now and at such a good price it's a very worthwhile investment for anyone starting to run or thinking about increasing their run-load.

No refunds. Size tight

Compared to McDavid Neoprene, these are much thinner and much tighter. The McDavids are longer but loser. They still provide compression. The Pro-Techs at first seemed too small, too tight but after wearing for a while, seem to be ok. They are probably half the thickness of McDavid. The company I purchased from do not offer refunds and said I have to contact Amazon to exchange for a different size. All in all, I would not purchase from the same company and I guess for most folks, the Medium size will be too small. I'm 5' 7, 145lb calf measures 14.

Pro-Tec Sleeve, Great product

I'm currently transitioning to minimal running so I have pretty significant soreness in my calves from time to time. These speed recovery when worn post-workout (sleep in mine sometimes). Only downside is that they are pretty thick and very hot if you try to run in them. They are not breathable. However, I bought them while experiencing posterior tibialis shin splints and they seemed to help that heal up (along with some ice and rest). Overall, I would recommend these for faster recovery, but they are not great for use during running (unless

Great Calf Sleeve

This is a very useful product. I was having problems with my lower leg, that someone suggested might be shin splints. I ordered this calf sleeve to try it out. Without the sleeve, I could run on a sports field playing for maybe 20 to 30 minutes before my leg hurt too much to run at full speed. Now, I wear this calf sleeve and I can play 2 or 2.5 hours without much pain. Rest and ice help the most for shin splints I find, but this is a good item to wear around to help the pain. I like it very much.

Just what I needed

Perfect for my calf, helps the muscle pain and twitching that I have. I did order the medium (one size too small) and was worried originally that it would be too small. But I am so glad that I did, the extra 'grab' makes all the difference to me. And loved the quality and price point.
