does not have zigzag backing
Product Description says This window/storm door weather stripping is a water resistant synthetic pile material with a zig-zagged plastic backing designed for easy installation... This is incorrect. You will probably need to disassemble your window to install it. grrr.

Not working as expected
It does not have a self-adhesive tape Therefore it can only work on certain window applications And the window for return is ver short I lost time and money

Product is fine, but height is only 2mm
Product is fine, but the height is only about 2mm (=~0.08”) which is only half of what (0.156”) was shown in one of the product pictures.

Not what I expected
I wasn’t sure on the actual size but figured as long as it sticks I’ll make it work. Well, I was very wrong. The size, it is extremely thin and would do very little to seal a door gap. And it’s not self adhesive. Unless the removable adhesive protection film is so thin I can’t see, feel or rub it off. I did see where it supposed to be though. I looked at then opened a window to see where this tiny thing would go. It supposed to stick into a tiny space or groove around the inside of the window frame. I guess that makes some sort of difference but not what I need.

Worked on my 50 year old basement window
Basement egress, builder grade window , and aluminum frame, in a house that was built in 1970. Good fit, material, and seal. By the way, this item does not have adhesive, just a slide through the rail/channel of the window. I am sure this is for a very specific application like mine. Happy that it worked and looks original.

Easier To Install Than I Thought
The tricky thing about wool pile replacement is figuring out what size(s) to buy—after all, the base of the old pile is still in the window and what pile there is, is worn. All I can suggest is to do your best to measure, then buy a couple different sizes, then purchase more of the size that works best. I started with 1/4” high pile, then opted for the .156” high. I almost wish I could have found something in between. Of course, the .156 could quickly flatten and negate the installation of fresh pile completely. Only time will tell. My old pile was crimped in place on both ends but removal was easier than I thought—just stuck a sharp awl into the end of the groove and wiggled on it until enough came out to grab with pliers. Don’t measure for the length you need-just hold some up edge to edge, mark with finger & cut. Installing the new pile was simple. Place bottom edge in first and push in upper edge with a flat head screwdriver, one ‘tooth’ at a time. I went over the installed pile with a screen roller to ensure it was all the way in. This seemed to solve my drafty window issue even if the window is harder to slide (for now?). It will probably loosen with time. Good product.

Get it.
I am very pleased with this purchase! To provide a little background, my home was built in 1979 and has the original sliding glass doors. Over the years, some of the pile weatherstripping has been damaged and some is rotting away. I figured that since this weatherstripping is in every single sliding glass door that I've ever seen, surely I will just go down to the big box store and buy some or at least something close that will work. Unfortunately, I walked out of the big box stores with the same disappointment as I've had about 100 times in my life because as it turns out, they don't sell this weatherstripping or anything close! This was a lifesaver and worked as intended. The instructions recommend using a spline roller to install it. In places that I could get a spline tool to reach, this worked great. I put one side of the weatherstripping in place and used to the spline tool to press the other side into place. However, in some hard to reach places, I had to use a large flathead screwdriver to press one side in. It took a while, but I finally got it all in.

Re-seal your windows
This weatherstrip fits my old aluminum windows from the 70s so now i am warm and don't hear the street noise. great product

Product only had 1/8" pile and was not zipperbacked.
Not what I was expecting to receive. Ended up buying a better frost king product with more pile for less at a local Cdn triangle symbol hardware store.

Works great to weatherstrip storm doors
I have a 25-year-old screen door that needed new weatherstripping on the sliding window. This product fits perfectly and was easy to install. One package should be enough to replace all of the weatherstrippings on one door.

Did the job
The pile wasn't as deep as I thought. Pretty thin. Easy installation.
