It's not adhesive :(

When I first purchased it, I was excited to replace the old insulation around my window air conditioner. The foam itself is thick and dense, which made me feel like it would be an effective insulation material. However, when I started installing it, I was disappointed to learn that it is not adhesive. That made it difficult for me to install it on my own as the foam didn't stay in place when I was putting my AC back on the window. I had to ask for help from my partner. I had expected that something called weather seal tape would be adhesive, but unfortunately, this was not the case. Overall, thickness and density of the foam material is ok for me, but it's a bummer it doesn't have any adhesive properties.

A Good Seal; Wish It Had Its Own Adhesive Side

I have a small bathroom window that doesn't QUITE close properly (the house is nearly 60 years old). I bought some of this to fill the gap and to keep cool air inside and hot air outside, as it should be in summer. This product doesn't have any adhesive on any side, so I eventually ended up buying and using some double-sided duct tape. It would have been nice to know from the description that it has no adhesive side; other than that, it worked nicely and did what I needed.

Good for Sealing Gaps

I used this product to seal the gaps when putting in a window air conditioner and portable air conditioner. This is not sticky so I cut the strips to the right measurement and shoved it into the air gaps where needed. I never feel any air coming through even when it’s windy so it seems to insulate well. I recommend this product.

Frost King comes through!

Good quality foam rubber for installation around a window air conditioner or anywhere else where there is an air draft issue. Easy to install. Easily cut to size needed.

Wish it came with a bit more product so I would have enough with one purchase, but I do like how thick it is and find that the sound proofing is better than with other products. Seems to help save energy costs this year.
