Nice Replacement Switch
Needed to replace a damaged on/off switch on my drill press. This switch feels pretty robust and should last. Installed using a 4 x 2 handy box with a handy box extension. The rear opening of the extension had to be ground down about 1/16" to accommodate the body of the switch. Just remove the metric machine screws and nuts that came with the switch and replace with 6 x 32 machine screw anywhere from 1/2" to 1" long will do.

Functional and simple, but consider the magnetic switch
Simple design and should work for most applications, but one safety concern. This design is simple to wire and will work 120/240v split phase (standard us residential) The main potential safety issue is this switch is purely a mechanical switch. Not magnetic hold safety. So if you were to pop a breaker then turn the breaker back on the machine will start back up. Larger machines and/or safety critical devises should have this to prevent the machine from potentially starting up by unexpectedly when you are away from the machine or some one else is near by unaware. This could also potently cause contacts internally to fuse and get stuck switch on. Overall this should work for most light duty non commercial applications with minimal risk. If you have lots of people working around the the devise, large powerful machines or safety critical should look at there alternative version

Very happy!!
This is a great addition to my table saw. Nice positive buttons. I used ring connectors and an electrical box to mount it tip: Do not use walmart electrical connectors as the metal is too thin to keep wies connected.

Low profile, works really fast for off.
It's not a grounded switch, not the worst but can ground before or after to compensate.

I just needed the inside
A Fine switch. I am replacing this exact switch. The last one arced and melted one of the poles(?). I wish I could just replace the small internal piece. All the exterior chunks of plastic are fine. Seems a waste!

There was no paddle.
This will work fine, but I specifically ordered this one because I like the slap off paddle feature. It came without a paddle!

Connection point poor
Not a bad product, just could be lots better. First, the 4 connection screws are very small and not indicated which one switches what line. A mark like "A"/"A" and "B"/"B" or something like that would be ok. The screws are small, very small. You need to install the hoop style terminal connectors. Also, screws on the back so any connection comes out the sides. If you put this in a standard electrical box, the wires will hit the sides of box. My use was for an older Delta contractor table saw which didn't have a large on/off switch. I made this work for what I needed.

Powertec 2 Pole Paddle Switch
Well designed switch, just what I needed. However mounting to electrical box as described by others is slightly misaligned but I was able to assemble without modifications. I bought 4 for my shop equipment. Switches are labeled line and load so did not see what others were complaining about. Great switch. As pictured I mounted to a PVC ‘wet and damp location’ Carlon type FS 18 cu in. Box to create a dust proof enclosure. I also installed on a Steel City deep 58371 steel handy box or equivalent without difficulty except for same minor screw alignment.

switch seems to be well made but time will tell
I bought this switch for my router table I built. The switch was deeper than I thought, lucky I put it in a deep box.

Great but doesn't fit in standard electrical box
It is simple, effective, and affordable. Problem is it doesn't fit in any standard box. It needs an extender as it's quite tall. Another commenter suggested the Taymac SB350S Weatherproof Box but it is too shallow. The screw holes line up but I still had to grind the lip off the access hole in the back and part of the switch itself plus make a wooden extension for it to fit. After that it was fine. There is a model with the box and cord all in one but it is much more expensive and I enjoy modifying stuff so your mileage may vary. Recommended with caveat.

Great switch paired with taymac sd350s box - with minor modification
This paddle switch is of good quality, it’s a great size and mounted well in the suggested Taymac SD350S box, just know it’s a little fussy aligning the switch to the box screw hole which required removing the plate ( it screws on) and running it across the grinder a few times to provide the needed clearance. The switch works well and was easy to install by following the wiring diagram shown. I’ll definitely purchase again.

Solid switch.
Had to replace the switch on my old table saw. This did the trick I made it so I could shut it off using my hip by building a small box. Changed the saw's performance. A saw that is easy to shut down and hard to start. It's exactly what I wanted. I would buy this switch again if I needed to. I would buy it again and again. It's hasn't failed me in the couple of years I owned it. <------ Yeah that is YEARS.
