Not A Good Option

I go through a lot of toggle switch seals in my business, and normally buy marine quality seals similar in appearance to these. The other day I was in a pinch because of a delayed shipment, so I ordered a couple of these to get me by. Big mistake. When installing these, I could not get them to tighten down on the switch threads; it was like the deep socket was slipping on the hex part of this seal. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the hex flats have no metal reinforcing them like the seals I normally use. They just deform and spin inside the socket, which means there's no way to tighten these properly. That's a big problem because this seal is what holds the toggle switch securely in place. In addition, the toggle bat cover is much thinner than what I'm used to, meaning a shorter life. At almost $3 a piece (a premium price), these deficiencies are unforgivable. I won't be buying these again under any circumstances.

Fits perfectly and very easy to install. Also seems to be water proof.

Reasonably priced and easy to install. I used it on a toggle switch on my riding mower that controls the lights. The original switch got water in it and shorted out.

Order screw-up

Product looks of good quality and will handle the task I wanted it for. My problem is with the order. I ordered a qty of 2 which by the product description would be a piece count of 4 boots. I received a qty of 1 which only yields a piece count of 2 boots. Amazon's system is very limited in how I can make contact with them to correct the order. Amazon offers only 2 options for making contact with them and both links are not active! Finally was able to connect to the Amazon site & via a Chat I was able to get the missing items sent to me. Holding back 1 star until the parts have been in use for a period of time to establish actual durability.

Fits great and it has made it this far

I bought this toggle switch cover to cover an on-off switch on an outdoor appliance that is going to be used during snowfall. This didn't get much use during the last winter season as I just got the switch cover as spring began (not that I'm going to complain about the snow melting) but the use that it did get made me confident that it will keep the dust and damp off of the switch as much as I need it to. The material isn't the sturdiest but I don't need a heavy-duty switch cover either. If you're looking for something affordable to protect your switches, this is a great option.
