Quality product

Thumb clamps are nice but wrist wrenching. If you have an old socket simply grind a grove in it. Same much time.

They work, until they don't

This is a product I like and hate at the same time. Sturdy build quality, easy to use, and they do what they are supposed to do. But, and this is a big but, sawdust gets into the grooves the gate door slides in. I should say the sawduct packs itself down into the corners until the gate will only close 2/3s - 3/4s the way, severely reducing suction at the machine you need it for. So, you have to stop what you're doing an dig the sawdust out of the crevices or just live with it. They clog up quickly enough that it's a real pain so I mostly live with it. They work, but I'm not sure I'd by the again. For what they cost, they should't have such a fundamental design flaw.

The product has a good use case if used right

All the negative reviews I read seem to be using the product wrong. This product works for temporary use with 4" hoses as designed if you just want to run hoses to multiple tools. It also works for a full dust exhaust system. The parts are 4" OD. If you use 4" PVC it is 4" ID so the parts in this kit fit perfectly inside the PVC pipe. Use 4" PVC from the dust collection system (I am using the Harbor Freight blower with 4" Dust Deputy) outlet. Then use standard PVC fittings and 25 degree bends to run to the rest of your shop. Great product saved me a lot of time, you just need to plan your system with what is available. The connection should be on the outside for the way the air flows but it's about a 1/8" lip, so small it won't really matter when you add some tape around the joint. I am getting great suction.

Nice set that has most everything needed

I picked up this set to make my first dust collection system. Blast gates are smooth , clamps seem good as well. I will more then likely slowly upgrade to hard pipe but this set is alot of bang for the buck.

Fits SDR 35 PVC pipe

Fits SDR-35 Thin Wall PVC Pipe! Every other brand's fittings that claim to, don't. These do, though it isn't in the description. The fit isn't tight, but a couple of wraps with extreme type silicone tape will seal it no problem (or use Lexel for a more permanent connection/seal.) I wasn't expecting them to fit; I didn't even buy them in hopes they would, I just needed fittings and this was the cheapest way to get several. That they fit is a major bonus, and will save a lot of hassle and unnecessary extra expense to get my dust collection system up and running. And yes, they do seem to be well made and sturdy enough for what's required from them. Recommended if you're struggling with the nonstandards of duct collection fittings!

Good but...

I was super happy when the kit arrived as I was anxious to set up my dust collection system. I installed the blast gates and checked each ones functionality prior to turning system on. At this time I noticed one of the gates housing was separated where the gate slides up and down. It appears to be a factory flaw. This is why I only gave 4 stars. I will have to try to figure out how to repair it. I did not want to disassemble the whole system to return the broken part. I could not find how to contact the seller so I am just going to figure it out somehow.

Works for dust collection to my larger machines after buying couplers

I've always heard about the nightmares of dust collection, and was mostly able to avoid them aside from a glaring flaw with the kit; you need some type of coupler to actually attach the plastic pieces to your machines and to each other. I found that the ONLY fitting from Home Depot that would work was a FLEX-Drain 4 in coupler, however it was fairly loose so I added tape and tightened my hose clamps very tight. With the couplers, I was able to add dust collection to two of my machines and have availability for a 3rd machine. In my picture, I'm using a harbor freight dust collector (Item #31810), a Laguna 1412 Bandsaw, and a Supermax 1938 drum sander. I suppose you could buy additional hoses and cut them up to use as couplers, but I wish the kit either came with couplers or could be attached to the machines with ease, but overall I'm happy with the kit.

Good starter kit

This is a good basic starter kit. I installed with flexible pipe but afterward read that wasn't the best since the pipe adds a lot of resistance compared with straight-pipe which this wouldn't work for. The only real complaint I could say about this set is the blast gates. Since I installed with non rigid pipe, I needed to fix the blast gates and there's only like a 1/2" lip around the edge to maybe screw through to attach. I ended up putting a groove in the side of some 2x2's and wedging the gates between them to hold in place. Finally this could be my poor install design but I also hear a lot of whistling through the gates with is a bit annoying but not sure there's a better product that wouldn't do that.

It's got to suck!

I've just managed to get this dust collector kit added to my existing collector. And I'm so pleased I'd bought it as now I have blast gates at every machine which is super efficient.

Excellent Value

This is a very basic kit, but it is perfect for a beginner or mid level woodworker with a small to medium shop. I highly recommend this to simplify connecting 3 machines to your dust collection system. You will not find a better value of parts for this price. As long as you have enough hose to run from the dust collector to each machine, this is the kit you will need.

Really good starter kit

Exactly what I needed for attaching multiple machines to my dust collector. Plenty of (20) gear clamps. Certainly cheaper than buying all the parts individually. Be mindful that you'll still need some 4" hose to go with this kit, but it's a great start.

Great value for price

You get lots of clamps and pieces, wish there were a few couplers. Overal worked wel. I ended up buying couplers elsewhere and then using screws to hold all the pieces onto the machines or various areas to add some rigidity. Can’t complain!

Viene completo y funcional para manguera de 4". Aunque tuve q comprar otra mas porque tengo 5 maquinas conectadas. Use tubo pvc 4'( en realidad es mas de 4" pero con las mismas abrazaderas y la pistola de calor los encogí para que se pudieran montar.
