It suits my purpose

This was relatively easy to assemble. Hooking the net to the ring was a challenge and it took several reviews of the video to figure out how to do it. The grandkids love it. The only thing I have found a problem is when the ball gets hot it expands and does not go thru the net until I let out some air. Other than these comments, I am satisfied with this product.

Long lasting, well supported, right price.

I've had this by the pool for 2.5 years now and it has survived game after game of "lighting" with my now 15 year old son and his friends. It has also survived 2.5 years in southern California sun. Yesterday the rim was snapped off the backboard during a Slam dunk contest (the design clearly does not support dunking) so I'm not surprised that the rim broke off. I contacted Pool Master directly and they are able to ship me out a replacement rim (for a small fee) so we'll be up and running again in a week. I'm really happy with the stability and portability of the hoop as well as support from Pool Master in helping me with a fix. Finally I really like how easy it is to separate the backboard part from the weighted base, this makes it easy to hide the backboard and hoop away when I want the pool area to look a little more adult.

Nicely built & fun playing with

We put sand in the base. It's nicely built and my grandchildren seem to like playing with it while swimming in the swimming pool.

Love!

Love this basketball hoop! Perfect for our smaller pool but even after being outside in the FL sun for 3 years it is still going strong. Just now replacing the rim for the first time after someone attempted to dunk on it and was able to order the piece so I am happy we get to keep it! Seems like it will continue to last

Average As Received, Better With Additional Outriggers!

As received it was alright, however with the base filled with water or sand it was stable enough, but if a ball hits the backboard at the outer edges the entire backboard spins in the base, very frustrating requiring the backboard to be straightened out. So, for $10 I installed 2 outriggers, each one is comprised of two 2' sections of 1"PVC pipe and 90 degree elbow. One end of the outrigger is secured using the existing holes in the backboard and stainless hardware. The other end at ground level is drilled to accept 3/8" x 10" stakes driven into the ground, backboard is now super stable!

Grandkids and all adults had a blast!!

So easy to set up and just as easy to breakdown to stir. Definitely buy extra balls. The orange one that came with it has too much bounce, we always used the ones bought separately. We have a gunite built in pool in Florida. We left the hoop up well after the grandkids left, the problem is it starts to mold slightly on the coping tiles. Once we took it down there’s no more molding issues. It must block the sun from those areas and no sun equals mold.

Christmas gift

Purchase this a Christmas gift for my boys and I thought it would be easy to assemble but that is not the case the instructions are not clear and pictures don’t help. It’s a really good product once you put it together.

Backboard sturdy, the water anchor system a joke, ball cheaply made

Got it on sale $99 ( isn't worth $149) , the anchor system is worthless but I turned it into a very sturdy pool toy ,went to local pool store picked up a set of 11/2" ladder anchors which I anchored with Tapcons then I installed 1 1/2" schedule 40 PVC into existing holes in back of backboard with Stainless bolts lastly buy a heavier smaller rubber ball ,I realize that not everyone has access to a good hammer drill there are a couple of really good ideas out their which would work to an extent but if your expecting it to stay in place by itself your going to be disappointed

So much fun over the summer in our pool - children and adults

This is a great sturdy product. Fun for the whole family. No issues of tipping over. And you can pack it away in winter out of the way.

Neat and strong basketball backboard!!

The backboard arrived right before Christmas as promised. It was a quick sale and quick delivery. Fairly easy to put together and looks great around the pool for summer. We are very happy with this purchase!
