Makes a decorative lighting feature

The media could not be loaded. We ordered these cast iron pine cones with the idea of creating a kind of magical whimsical feel to the entry of our mountain guest cottage. With some slight modification (a small hole drilled near the top of each pine cone) we were able to install small flicker bulbs in each one. The pine cones are a cast iron that looks like they will easily handle years of inclement weather and are heavy enough to withstand wind gusts. They are definitely constructed to last and they also come with a metal ring on top that is strong enough for hanging. So far we are very pleased with these as decorative outdoor lighting. Spring 2021 update: over two years after initial installation and the iron pine cones are still doing well. We’re very pleased with how they are looking after two summer and winter seasons - a bit more “weathered” looking but really a compliment to our mountain cottage.

The bottom where the candle goes was fused to the top.

Super cute but the bottom was fused and would not turn so candle could not be put in it. Tried to nudge it with a tool and the bottom completely broke in half. I threw that away and just set it over a tea light. That worked out alright. I guess. But it could not be used as a gift.

Perfect outdoor decor

Wrought iron so they will last forever. Depending on the size candle, gives off the perfect soft light.

Not much light

The small cone you really can’t see the light holes small .Also the place underneath to put candle nearly impossible to get a real candle in to stay in place it has a locking feature and difficult to line up even with battery candle best to put candle on floor and put upper part down over it .

IN NEED OF PRODUCT QUALITY CONTROL

I ordered Ten of these, and Three are being returned (30%) due to deplorable or non-existent factory inspection * Pine cone #1...missing the bottom disc upon which the tea light sits !!! * Pine cone #2...the bracket into which the disc is inserted is cockeyed; therefore the melted wax would inevitably flow over the tea light cup on one side causing a wax cleanup nightmare * Pine cone#3...same as #2 above It would seem that Esschert Corporate in the Netherlands needs to look into their entire product quality control operation

Poor design but looks good

Really cute but the design is poor. The bottom piece where the candle sits does not fit properly so getting a candle in and out without it falling over is a challenge. Also you have to have some long thin matches to stick through the "pinecone perforations" in order to light the candle. Gave it 2 stars only because it is cute, but, sadly not functional.

Disappointed at price increase

This arrived yesterday and i can't fault the product and love it and was going to order 4 more as gifts but the price has suddenly jumped up £3 in 3 days !! Can't understand why such a big hike, is it because of prime day! Very disappointed and will now not bother ordering anymore and will shop around.

Love them arrived quickly well packed

Love them arrived quickly well packed . Bought same product at Hampton court flower show last year and wanted more . They do rust but look nice even so needs a good candle as night lights are weak

Lovely addition to my collection of cast iron ornaments. Great value. Bare in mind the item will rust over time. ????
