I've sharpened an 18" chain and a 12" chain on the same stone and I can still sharpen more with it.

amazed at how sharp this got my old chain

this stone sharpener on a dremel tool really sharpened up my old chain, and i was surprised how well it cuts now - virtually as well as a new chain. I don't know how long it retains that sharpness, but it sure made a big difference, at least initially. SHarpening the chain was easy and fairly quick, taking only a few minutes. I must say, sharpening with the file is not nearly as good as this thing, at least in my experience. Strongly recommend.

Cuts Like New Again

I purchased these to sharpen my 18 inch Echo brand chainsaw with my Dremel 4000 series. Bottom line is these stones get the job done. The first time I used this brand my chain was pretty rough. I was able to sharpen the chain only once with the first stone. But, the chain cut better than when it was new. If the blade only needs to be touched up I can sharpen the chain twice with a single stone before I throw it in the bin. Thanks to these I will never sharpen my chainsaw with a file again. These little stones save me a lot of time and money when compared to replacing the chain. I have already purchase another package of this brand.
