Sizzix Multipurpose Platform rocks

I like the ease in using, the instructions printed so you use the correct plate when cutting out dies. I love how sturdy it is as it’s going to get lots of use and I know it will withstand cutting the dies I advise new crafters that is is an essential tool

This is the platform Sizzix told me I needed.

I bought this platform to upgrade my early BigShot bought about 18 years ago and never used. I contacted Sizzix to find out what I needed to use with my original platform produced for Bigz dies. Their current price was considerably higher and I was thrilled to find this one on Amazon at a better price and faster delivery. I have not had any issues with it working with Sizzix and other die cuts.

Separate plates easier to use.

I preferred the old style with separate plates. The hinged plates sometimes are not in a convenient placement for the location where I have to have my machine.

Great Item, Poor Packaging

Firstly, this is a 5-star item, however I think the packaging may let it down. It’s a thinly padded envelope instead of a box, and it arrived with a cracked hinge, disappointing and avoidable so deduct 2 stars for each of those. Amazon has great customer care though and replaced it easily and quickly. Back up to four stars now, yay! Replacement arrived packaged the exact same way, again with multiple fractured hinge, one star down again. I had no more time to mess around and I really needed to use this item, so with very careful superglue-surgery I made repairs and handle it very gently when using it. Back down to 3 stars again, lengthy explanation but I hope this helps someone else and maybe even the seller will read it.

Sizzix BIGkick/Big Shot Multi-Purpose Platform

The platform works with the big shot, big kick. It has the hinge that you flop open when you need to go to a different thickness. My machine is very old but it just keeps on working!!! It has three tags connected on it that gives you different layers to choose to work with.. Each tag has directions on what you run threw your machine.

Big Help From A Smaller Platform

So pleased! When I purchased my Big Shot, it came with the extended multipurpose platform, which is ok. However, it is long, and you crank and crank. I have superbad arthritis, and I can't do quite that much cranking, so I have waited to find the regular-length platform. Finally, found it here at Amazon and jumped on it. When you have RA and Fibromyalgia and some Osteoarthritis to boot, all that cranking adds up and can really wear on one's joints. So, this helps me out. I am saving for a Gemini Jr. which feeds automatically and has no cranking involved. Praise the Lord and pass me the dies and embossing folders!

Replaced a lost platform

I can now use my Big Shot again. I lost the original platform in a house move! Glad to be able to use my Big Shot again! Still the best machine!

Falling Apart

Haven't had it for very long and I was just using it to emboss, but the back setting is already peeling up. Disappointing for such a big brand. I had the longer one too and it broke.

I bought this to use with my old Ellison Big Shot machine so that I could use the new Sissix Thinlits dies - it works well
