Loved the 1st need a 2nd

Large bed, for 55lb lab/mix: I bought the first bed in Dec 2019, 3 yrs ago but now need a 2nd so my old man dog @ age 14 can rest the last of his years in comfort upstairs in my bedroom too. Great bed. I takeoff the cover wash it, line dry it and put it back on, still in great condition!

Love these beds. Finally found waterproof pads for them.

We have two of these beds from Amazon for our ONE dog {;-) They are great mattresses. They are comprised of two very different foams. The dense, flat, lower half is memory foam while the upper half is orthopedic egg crate foam. Some time ago "Whitney" threw up so unexpectedly, on one of the mattresses, that she couldn't get off the bed in time. The stomach acid went right through the cover and into the foam quickly. I went through holy hell for days to get that smell out of the foam. Had to submerge them in a strong disinfectant mixture for 2 days; then two more days to air dry them with fans [dead of winter - clothesline not an option]. So I went on a mission to find a product to protect/waterproof this foam from another disaster. I finally found an almost perfectly sized waterproof pad for these mattresses. They are a washable underpad from Cardinal Health Essentials. They are inexpensive and available from Amazon as well as Save-rite medical. Our dog beds are 24 x 37. These pads are 23 x 36. If you center the pad on the foam, before you zip up the cover, only a mere 1/2 inch is exposed around the perimeter. The waterproof under side of the pads is a soft, "fabric-like" feeling vinyl. And the top is a soft cotton/poly blend. I personally will keep mine out of the dryer. I think they will last a long time then. I don't feel that vinyl and dryer heat get along very well. I bought a couple spares so they can dry as long as they need. I AM a happy camper now!! Thank you. T'care, Syd

Quality and value

This dog bed meets my expectations, and my 70 lb dog is happy. I am ordered the XL. It's really nice for the money and so comfy. I like the zipper so you can wash the cover. If you are looking at this bed online at Amazon and not sure if your pet would like it......buy it cause your pet will love it. Do what the directions say and let if fluff for 48 hrs before use. I kinda did the fluffing twice a day and it does fluff up, and is thick. If your dog is a scratcher then this bed will not be for your purchase. I am so pleased with this purchase and have been looking at so many beds trying to decide which is best and the reviews on this bed sold me. Going on a road trip soon and this will be the perfect bed for my dog and to be confortable. I will keep this sellers name on my to buy list. Thank you. Shipping was really fast and a day early. The seller said it was coming a day earlier than expected....great service which you dont always get now a days. I love shopping thru Amazon and have never experienced any difficulties. Great buy, good quality and happy customer.

Must have dog bed!!!!

This is the best dog bed I’ve ever owned! At first I bought the XL and it sleeps my puggish dog and my catahoula great and has room for the neighbor’s spaniel as well. I just bought it in large too, because we recently acquired a mini pig. He’s gotten to 60-70 pounds and was rooting the dogs off the XL bed. Ha! Pros...is durable and retains its shape even after sleeping well over 100 pounds of dogs/pig every night, and I’ve had the XL for over 6 months now. When the animals are not on it, there are no dips or dents or shallow spots where they sleep on it. When they are all on it, it’s stiff enough so that they don’t touch the floor underneath. The animals have not been tempted to chew on it like they did some of the cedar smelling or poly filled beds. So it must be made out of something that does not tempt them. The cover fits tight to the mattress so it’s easy to vacuum. Cons...the only one I can think of is that the cover is very thin and not waterproof. I remedy the thin part by putting a blanket on top of the bed and tucking it under the sides of the mattress. Some dogs like to kind of dig around before they lay down, so that might be an issue if your dog does this. The waterproof part has only been an issue one time when the pig wet the bed in his sleep (Pigs are like toddlers, really. Ugh!) I washed the mattress cover and then stood on the mattress with a towel to soak up any excess. So, if you have an incontinent dog, might want to spring for the waterproof cover that you can buy extra. Also, the mattress is totally flat when it comes out of the box. It takes it a couple of hours to get to the full thickness, but once it does, it stays that way. It’s really great! The pic is the XL and the L side by side (with my personal blankets as covers).

Very impressed worth every penny and then some

I took a chance on buying this. I got the large which at the time of purchase was $18.80. When it arrived the next day I was like oh no it's going to be cheap. But once you shake it out a bit it will grow. It's not just a flimsy egg crate piece of foam. It came with instructions and it addresses the light smell and states it's temporary as well as letting it expand maybe in the sun to reach its true thickness. . The smell went away pretty quickly. I bought a $3,000 sleep number bed that smelled too but eventually it goes away and this wasn't even a strong smell because I'm smell sensitive and will get a headache very quickly. A few hours later I couldn't believe how much weight it had. I actually had to unzip it to see what's inside. It's very supportive and I was so impressed with it. My dog is very picky. I have a $125 bed for her and she won't go near it. But this one she got right on it and slept. She weights 75 lbs and it truly supported her. You can't lose for the price. This bed to me is worth a lot more than that. If you buy it and don't like it you can return it or donated it to your local shelter. I'm so glad I purchased this. I love a good deal.

Very good bed for smaller dog

The bed is small but works for a 30lb beagle; I purchased the medium. Its firm so it will last and gave it 5 stars but only gave 4 stars for durability. My dog likes to scratch at it and made a hole in the last one so I think durability would be better for some dogs. That said, I bought this bed again and will probably buy another one once my dog wears this out. :)

Excelente cama para mi bulldog

La verdad he comprado como 6 camas porque mi bulldog las destruía... Pero qué bueno que lo hizo porque si con esta cama y en verdad es muy cómoda y de muy buen tamaño (mediano) entra súper bien y hasta le sobra espacio a mi bulldog. Esta vez si cuido que no lo vaya a romper porque si está muy bonita y cómoda!!! El envío llegó en tiempo y forma

This bed not good for 50lb dog

I'm not happy with the dog bed for following reasonz: -This item smelt heavily like "made in China" chemicals, dog concurs funny smell -Very thin and small (medium bed pictured), actual product much thinner than advertised photo (after it bulks up from unwrapping). Dog sinks to the bottom like the cheapo beds. -no waterproof cover -Dog doesn't like -expensive for what you get Dear Amazon, please contact me regarding a return

Le encantó!

En cuanto llegó a mi perro le gustó, nos pidieron comprarle una cama que fuera de su tamaño y sin bordes para que no tuviera problemas con su espalda ni su cuello, después de una lesión. La cama le vino bien para descansar y ahora está mucho mejor, aún prefiere el sillón, pero duerme bien en ella.
