Only fits small dogs

These are synthetic (not leather or shearling) slippers that don’t seem to be very insulating or warm. They stay on with a Velcro closure that my dog can open. I’d read several comments suggesting that these can fit medium sized dogs, but they really cannot. These are for small dogs only. They are not waterproof, and would need to be sprayed with something to make them repel water. They do help keep salt from the paws. Overall, they are a cute fashion statement, but not tremendously useful for cold and wet conditions.

Velcro strap helps to keep on little feet.

Without the velcro strap these would never have stayed on. Great product and stood up well to my dogs constant "sled dogging".

Not for larger dogs.

Absolutely for smaller gogs. Not for medium to big dogs. Very cute but not for our Australian shepherd mix.

well made, but not functional for a Havanese

These booties are well made, however not effective for my Havanese. They are difficult to get on, with the zipper closure and the dog's hair, and they fall off in the snow even with the velcro tie wrapped around as tight as possible. I give it 4 stars because they seem sturdy, with a rubber sole, shearling trim, zipper, and velcro tie, they just did not work for me. I found myself going fishing in the snow for them, and they were difficult to find in the dark. They may work well for another type of dog, but be sure to measure correctly. I got XS for a Havanese, and I am not sure that's the right size given the way they functioned on him. At least he got some protection during a few bitter cold days (0F anad below) while going outside, I just wish I would not have spent the money. It was later recommended to me to check out a much simpler construction bootie used by sled dogs by dogbooties.com but I have not received them yet in order to be able to compare.

Adorable, but tihs size (medium / 4) is off just a bit.

Smaller than size. Website says 1.8" x 3" and boots are actually 1.6" x 2.75" - besides that - these are great & super cute boots, but not accurately described. They just may run up to a quarter inch small and if you wash them, but then again, you can't get too big of boots because they will fall off. But they boots are looking just like the picture. The boots are the same pink & white with a zipper in the back that works and provides support and stability. and there is a support strap at the top of the boot that covers the zipper. I have to return them and get a bigger size for my friend's 42 pound dog but I will get the large (5) size. I don't know how these will last because I didn't really get to see the quality but I will comment once I get the next size. Pros: cute, looks like pictures Cons: runs a tid bit small on each side, but about a quarter inch smaller. Not a big difference in most things, but in my situation it was.

We like these boots because they have the front zipper to keep the boots on and the Velcro to secure. The ones with just the Velcro fall off constantly. The only complaint is that the salty water can seep into the suede which defeats the purpose of her wearing the boots (her paws are incredibly salt sensitive and New York City puts a ton down on the sidewalk at first site of a snow flake). H looks incredibly cool when she wears them, but we stick to the rubber booties on salty days.

I Love the Pet Life Shearling Duggz Dog Boots!

I've been using these for a while on my dog. I have had compliments on how these fit from people who see me walking him. I've also had compliments on how cute they are and how well my dog walks in them (which he does). Also, if the weather is not too watery I notice my dogs feet stay quite dry and so do the inside of the boots. I make sure the boots fit perfect before I walk my dog. I have a small poodle and the size is extra small for him. If you get them too big he may trip and hurt himself. I also make sure the velcro strip is pulled tight around his feet and they do not fall off of him. I have other boots that I like for him but I can tell the way they feel and the way he walks that these are warmer inside and more comfortable. I used to believe that nothing would stay on my dog but with good discretion and just a little patience putting them on it really is quite easy. My dog is worth me trying to keep his paws safe from all that salt, etc. on the sidewalks/streets. Also, I don't have to pick him up anymore in the middle of a walk because his feet were freezing. My dog will never be without these boots again.

Doggie Parents Beware

I've made many purchases from Amazon but have never written a review but I feel I really must in this case. The quality of the shoes is not good. One of the shoes started to rip after first use on my 2 years old Maltese. We've had a rough winter here in NYC and wanted something sturdy but l was disappointed after first use. It also seemed one of the shoes is a bit bigger than the extra small I ordered cause it keeps coming off her feet. I should have ordered a size smaller I suppose. I wish they were better quality because they're very cute on her feet. I wish I had found an honest review to warn me. Please don't bother spending your $$$ unless you want something that looks cute but won't last

Not happy with these boots

I paid close to $25 and expected a good product. They are cute to look at in the package. They don't look cute on. Our dog has long fur, so it gets caught in the back zippers. Then the boots just fall off, so are no protection in the snow. The $ Store boots did just as good a job....probably better. I do not recommend this product.

Size, quality????????

The quality and size weren't as I wanted them to be for my Labrador Retriever. Being the largest size available, it never fit my dog's paws and I ended up keeping them for no returns as returning is a headache. Won't buy again. Rather buy it from a store after trying. Suggestion: Buy polyurethane boots for dogs for snow season, they're easy to clean and quick to be worn.

DO NOT use sizing in description

The size description for this item is totally off. The sizing on the back of the product is pretty close to actual size. Use this if you plan on ordering, wish I did these will not fit my dog.
