cute, but a really tiny seed platform

I like this a lot. But it only holds a tiny bit of seed, like 1/2 cup. The platform is a decent size, but the sides are really short. I have a newly built house and the landscaping is pretty immature, so I am OK with the capacity until the birds find the feeder. Then I will have to switch to one that I don't have to refill every 10 minutes. But this attracts them without leaving too many seeds for undesirable rodents.

Like all beauties - she’s high maintenance

The only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because it’s form over function. It’s beautiful- well crafted. Heavy duty... excellent price and I get compliments on it. So looks wise - definite 5, and it’s well made. Quality materials/heavy duty- it’s not a cheap piece of junk at all - I was surprised by that. The issue is functionality - you can only fit a handfull of food into it. So I basically go out and refill it with a fistful of food daily. It is actually pretty squirrel proof just because of it’s steep metal roof. I’ve had it up a month and they can’t get to it. This is a beauty and I’m keeping it up because of how awesome it looks - but yeah, if you want a functional bird feeder that you fill and walk away from for a week, this one might not be for you.

Attractive, clean lined feeder

I was attracted to this feeder by its clean lines and geometric shape. It will likely be more accessible to smaller birds as larger birds won’t be able to get inside the open feeding area easily. It is made of a good quality metal and the chain and hook seem sturdy. Looking forward to seeing which birds will come to feed! The first feeder arrived with a problem with the base having come off the frame during shipping and the brads getting bent so I couldn’t just nail them back in place. I contacted the seller and they assured me they would get another feeder shipped out ASAP. They were good to their word. My replacement feeder arrived in reasonable time and is now hanging outdoors waiting for its visitors. I would definitely do business with this seller in the future as they stand behind their product and did an excellent job to get me a replacement quickly.

A beautiful feeder. Birds love it!

The only things about this I don;t like is that the seed tray is small. Other than that, its very nice!

Looks great!

Really like this feeder, very stylish and modern. We get birds in, on, and below it all the time. You will get bird seed falling out below the feeder, so be mindful of that, and that attracts birds to the ground below it, which works just fine for us. In some cases we've had a bird in it, one on the roof and one on the chain waiting for their table to be ready. :-)

Fine at First Glance, But...

Embarrassed that I spent this much money on a birdhouse. The wood color is not as dark as the product pictures implied. Hot glue-gunning and stapling are very apparent and haphazardly done because the product arrived broken. The broken part appears to be an easy fix, but due to how both sides of the tray were attached, I can’t easily push the one side back into place and superglue it. Fearful of hammering it in as I’m confident the wood will splinter. Roof tin is also not entirely attached to the rest of the structure. I will either need to remove the tray completely and reassemble it properly, or just live with a crooked tray (defeats the purpose of putting seeds on it). Roof is a different story, can’t even press it down to connect to the adjacent pieces of wood. I wouldn’t mind these issues if it was a $10 feeder/house, but I spent close to $30 on this, including shipping. I’m giving this two stars (more like 1.5) as it looks nice from afar, but the obviously untreated wood will most likely mold after a few good rains and this has turned into way more effort than I wanted. Only buy this if you’re crafty or are fine with a meh outdoor decoration.

Modern design with poor quality materials.

Really attractive looking feeder. Sadly the build quality is low. The wood seems to be low quality, the mitered joints are open, roof only has 2 mounting screws but 4 screw holes. The finish is very poor, not covering the wood evenly. On a mildly windy day this thing just swings about flinging seed all around. I assume this bird feeder won’t last one season. Only been outside for 2 days and shows severe sun bleaching and opening wood joints. Might be cool in an areas protected from the elements but I doubt you’ll feed many birds on your porch.

Cheaply made

I took it out of the box and held it up by the chain to show my daughter and the chain broke. I’d had it for less than 5 minutes at that point. It hit the floor and came apart at every joint. It was held together by pin nails. No glue. I glued the joints and clamped it all back together, then used larger pin nails to make sure it stays together . Then I found another chain. So all you need is a replacement chain, a compressor, a pin nailer and nails, wood glue, wood clamps. In short, I should have just made the whole thing from scratch myself. Looks good now though.

SEHR SCHADE ! Gut geplantes und schön designtes Vogelhäuschen mit miserabler Ausführung !

Ich habe das Vogelhäuschen 2x bestellt, nach Rücksprache mit dem sehr freundlichen Amazon-Mitarbeiter für Reklamationen, nach dem bei der ersten Lieferung Paket und Ware beschädigt war. Ein sehr interessantem Design-Entwurf mit durchdachter Konstruktion und Planung. Ein Vogelhäuschen etwas kleiner als von der Abbildung gedacht, aber ausreichender Größe. Leider jedoch miserable Verarbeitungsqualität: unvollständiger, sichtbar lieblos und schief zusammengetackerter Zusammenbau mit tw. fehlender Verschraubung bei bestehender Vorbohrung. Versand in praktisch ungepolstertem Karton, der bei der ersten der 2 gelieferten Objekte auch noch aufgerissen war und den Bruch einer Holzleiste sichtbar machte. Ich würde das Vogelhäuschen trotz des höheren Preisniveaus wieder kaufen, wenn die Verarbeitung besser, der Zusammenbau komplett und die Verpackung besser wäre.

Looks good

It's a good looking bird feeder. However, the place to put bird food is poorly designed. It's shallow and there is nothing around for the little birdies to perch on. I'll put there a little cup and add some pieces of woods to perch. I'll add pictures of it when it'll finished and if it works. It looks good, so if you have time to come up with your own solutions to the design problem I've mentioned, buy it.

It takes only a handful of sunflower seeds

It's attractively designed, but impractical. One small bird could be inside getting seeds, so others flutter about, unable to get in also. The seeds get scattered outside the very small platform. The metal roof was promising, but the other flaws in design cancelled any benefit the roof offered. I'm returning it for refund.
