Quality
I purchased the Crock Pot brand, as I was unhappy with another name brand cooker. The 7 quart crock pot is a very generous size, perfect for a chuck roast. I put celery, quartered carrots, quartered potatoes, and onion in the crock pot. I then braised both sides of the chuck roast in a fry pan, then I added the roast to the crock pot, followed by 1 can of beef broth. The recipe instructed 10 hours on low, no peaking, when the roast is tender, set the crock pot on the warm setting, until supper time. The roast was very tender after 10 hours on low, the warm setting kept everything warm until serving. Crock Pot Brand is the only brand for me.

Nothing fancy, it just works
The nice part of cooking in a crock pot is you basically stick all yof your ingredients in the crock, set it, and forget about it until it's time to eat. This crock pot it not programmable, and has only high, low and keep warm settings. But since most crock pot recipes are pretty self explanatory with the temperature and cooking time, this isn't an issue for me. It does what it supposed to do, and is very easy to use. If the bells and whistles are something you're looking for then this isn't the slow cooker for you. But if you just need the basics at a fair price, this will work great for you.

Works perfectly for me
While there are fancier models, I have to say, I'm pretty loyal to this one. I had my last one for years. It recently stopped working, so I began looking for a new one. I was very happy to come upon the same one I had, just in a larger size. This has proven to be tried and true for me. I don't need all of the bells and whistles, just a crockpot that helps make my meals yummy. Easy to use, cleans well, and if this is like my last one, it will last. Can't go wrong.

This is a wonderful thing for ANYONE! College students sharing an apartment…all the girls can eat whenever they get home. Law school student, he dumps in the morning…classes and study halls…meetings…end of day, he eats warm food and saves the rest for next day. There are now inserts to make cleaning even easier. The crock pot is easy to clean though. Soak with warm water and a little soap. Wipes clean easily. This one is big. 7qt. So, either 2 big eaters or save for next day. Football sundays with friends-bbq chicken and rolls were eaten all day! Works well. Highly recommend.

Good, but the temperature knob should be improved
I did a lot of research before I bought this crock-pot 7 -Quart. After seeing pictures of other models with cracking lids & possible fire hazards, I decided to buy this one. The lid has been fine & we haven't had any problems with the cooker. The only thing we wish was different, is the way they made the knob. The knob goes from "OFF" to "LOW" to "HIGH" to "WARM. So sometimes we crank it to the far right, thinking it's on high, but it's only on Warm. Aside from that, this has been a good crock pot. My husband uses the cooking liners for easy clean up. The only other thing I wish they did, was to provide a more stable base, by adding another "foot" underneath. I recommend this one, because it does work good & it has been safe to use.

Great Cooker
This was my first attempt at a slow cooker recipe, pot roast with root vegetables. The recipe called for a 3-4 pound chuck roast for 8 hours on low. Good thing I was monitoring it, because it was finished perfectly at 5 hours. Can't say if it was the cooker or the recipe that was inaccurate. Bottom line: delicious.

Food Cooks Quickly!
My old stoneware crockpot finally quit on me & I purchased this one several months ago. I've noticed that the food cooks much faster than in my old crockpot even when on the low setting. The black finish might have something to do with this. I'm very happy with the crockpot but would not recommend leaving it unattended all day as the food might be overcooked by the time you get home from work.

Good quality
This slow cooker was exactly as advertised. Arrived well packed & in excellent condition. It is the right size for my needs. Three controls low, high & warm. I really like the warm feature. Have used it twice & was very satisfied. Would definitely recommend this appliance.

Great crock pot
Great crock pot. Fantastic size. I assumed that since I purchased it in India that it would be a 220v appliance. It was 110! I have to use it with a converter, which is inconvenient, but works.
