Too big for backpacking
I didn't do my research. The pan is fine if your'e okay with teflon. I saw it on a video and didn't realize how big it was. I'm going to keep it and use it for regular camping. Ordered a smaller SS pan for backpacking.

Good but not great
Item is light enough and compact enough to pack into our camp kitchen nicely. Product is lightweight - so it gets hot, real hot. Making it more difficult to control when cooking until you figure out the “sweet spot” with your burner system. The non-stick coating is thin - and not durable. Use a metal utensil in a pinch? coating is gone. It’s so thin it makes me wonder how much we have ingested with regular use. Convenient design, good price. I’d pay 5-10 bucks more if the coating was comparable to the non stick found on a regular kitchen pan

Did not make me an egg expert...
I bought this to replace an older non-stick pan that had seen better days. Although this is portable, and the folding handle is convenient, eggs stick to this like cement. Since I bought this to make breakfast when camping it is not going to be traveling much as the hassle of cleaning out the eggs from the pan doesn't make it worthwhile. I looked online and there are some suggestions such as only using medium heat for non-stick pans, and seasoning with oil after cooking... perhaps these suggestions are good, but I am not too pleased with the effect. If you have better luck with eggs please post your suggestions!

Must have for camping
Non stick is the way to go in the woods. We had a few stainless steel frying pans we used in the past, but they are such a pain to clean when you out camping. The non stick pan with foldable handle is easy to clean, and easy to pack. Doesn't take up nearly as much room as a pan with a standard handle. The handle also has a nice rubber grip that keeps it from getting too hot when being used. We have had it for a few years now and it is standing the test of time.

Lasted only 1 8-day trip
Like so many other reviews, the coating does not last long. I need to purchase a new pan.

Good camping frying pan - not exactly as pictured
It’s a pretty good camping frying pan. But it has a lifting handle on the front of the pan (not shown in the product pictures) opposite of the long pan handle. It doesn’t fit well on my old Coleman camp stove because of it.

Junk
I bought it because it looked perfect for my canoe camping trips. The folding handle was a nice feature that made it easier to pack than the fixed handle pan I have been using. However the first time I used it I put it on a burner, turned to get a little oil and I heard a pop. The pan had warped from the heat and a burner sized section of non-stick coating had burnt off...in a matter of seconds The pan does not distribute heat well at all. The section above the burner gets very hot and everything else stays fairly cool so you have to really be on your toes to make sure some of your food isn't burned while the rest of it is still uncooked. I was surprised at all the five-star reviews given that this might be the worst pan I've ever used, camping or not. Then I realized that nearly all of the five-star reviews were 5 to 15 years old. This makes me wonder if the quality of this pan has changed in recent years. If so, shame on you Coleman.

Do not use over fires!
As many others have said the non stick coating bubbles and flakes off. It should be ok if only used over a has stove, but do not use over an open fire. not worth it. Pan was useless after 4 uses over a camp fire.

Non-stick finish eroded after a few uses
Good size and compact but Non-stick finish eroded after a few uses. This is a terrible pan and I do not recommend it.

Wastage of money
Poor quality. Just used on one trip and then threw out

Order the smaller and I’ll cut and file the 2nd handle off if necessary
The pictures of this item are inaccurate as there is a second handle, for 2 hand grip, small U handle and it takes space where packing. The other end when folded and packed, if packed right, will make a hole in your gear. Motorcycle camping.
