Excellent, but went back to the Roam

I really liked the new style and black color of this new Bolt V2, but for what it is, I went back to the Roam V1 bundle. Here’s why. So there were not many features on the new V2 to grant the higher price. Extra colors, dual GPS features, more storage memory, and a very nice piano black color… that’s not enough. The biggest reason I returned to the Roam V1 is because it also has color, not as many as the V2 models, the bigger screen at 2.7” vs 2.2” on the Bolts, the battery life is excellent and lastly… the price! I got the Roam V1 bundle for $270 with tax. The Bolt V2 just the unit is $279 not including tax nor the sensors. This is an excellent bundle for those who want the latest and greatest. I just didn’t see the need to spend much more on features I really didn’t need in the first place. Need over want.

Great product but sadly it never arrived

This appears to be a fantastic product but very sadly the first box that arrived was completely empty. Fantastic customer service had a second box sent that day and that box arrived empty too. Can find no evidence that items were ever sent.

Super Ergänzung zu Apple Health

Hatte bisher mein iPhone und die Apple Watch zum Tracking meiner Radtouren an Bord, funktioniert präzise und gut aber es geht noch besser und da kommt der Wahoo Elemnt Bolt ins Spiel ;-). Anbringen am Fahrrad: Die Befestigung an einem Cannondale Lenker war innerhalb weniger Sekunden erledigt, passt perfekt. Wie bereits erwähnt hatte ich zuvor mein iPhone 13 zum Tracking im Einsatz, hier wurde eine sp-Connect Univeralhalterung verwendet. Ich hatte immer das ungute Gefühl das mir das Telefon irgendwann mal runterfällt. Das hat sich nun erledigt. Der Wahoo Bolt ist nicht nur leichter, er ist auch Aerodynamisch geformt und die Postion vor dem Lenker passt einfach perfekt - Ablesbarkeit und Bedienung könnten für meinen Geschmack nicht besser sein. Sehr gut gelöst. Die Cadence und Speed Sensoren, welche im Bundle enthalten sind, lassen sich auch super einfach anbringen. Speed einfach um die Vorderradnabe, kalibriert wird dann automatisch. Cadence entweder aufkleben, am Schuh befestigen oder mit Halterung und mitgelieferten Kabelbindern festmachen. Ich habe mich in dem Fall für kleben entschieden, Kurbelarm kurz mit Isopropylalkohol gereinigt aufgeklebt - hält, 3M Klebepad sei dank. Im Bundle mit Speed, Cadence und Tickr: Hier spielt der Elemnt seine Stärken voll aus, Live-Herzfrequenz, -RPM und präzise Geschwindkeitsmessung auch wenn das GPS mal nicht zur Verfügung steht, klasse. Da kann die Kombi aus iPhone und Apple Watch nicht mithalten, das Wahoo Bundle ist eben speziell für diesen Einsatzzweck ausgelegt. Die Daten werden per Bluetooth / Ant+ übertragen, keine störenden Kabel oder ähnliches mehr wie man es noch aus Sigma Zeiten kannte :-). Die Daten können an viele Fitnessapps weitergeben werden, Apple Health, Strava und Komoot um nur drei gängige zu nennen. Detailliert und präzise Informationen, so hab ich mir das vorgestellt. Einrichtung des Bolt und Sensoren: Ja was soll ich sagen, Easy Peasy - leichter geht es kaum - da hat man was aus Cupertino gelernt. Elemnt App installieren, Bolt einschalten - QR Code Scannen und anschließend den Schritten in der App folgen. Firmware aktualisieren. Fertig. Die Sensoren sind ebenfalls genauso einfach zu koppeln, kurz bewegen um den jeweiligen Sensor zu aktivieren, in die Nähe des Mobiltelefons bringen und mit der App koppeln. Bei mir hatten alle Sensoren bereits die aktuelle Firmware installiert, checken könnt ihr das in der Wahoo App, leider nicht in der Elemnt App selbst aber das ist kein Beinbruch, evtl. ändert sich das noch. Das wars, alles bereit. Kartenmaterial: Der Bolt hatte in meinem Fall die deutschen Karten schon vorinstalliert. Während der Ersteinrichtung könnt ihr euch entscheiden, ob ihr Daten aus der Elemnt App mit anderen Applikationen teilen wollt - z.B. Komoot für eure Routen, diese werden dann automatisch übertragen und stehen euch auf dem Bolt zur Verfügung. Super einfach, so soll es sein. Navigation: Einfach überlegen, präzise, gut ablesbares Display. Automatische re-routing Funktion, falls man mal eine Abzweigung verpasst. Wenn ihr nicht mehr wisst wo ihr seid, bringt er euch auch sicher zurück nach Hause. Alles ohne das man sein Telefon zwangsweise mit dabei haben muss, wenn doch, kann man es aber getrost in der Tasche lassen ;-). Wenn man möchte signalisiert er auch Nachrichten oder Anrufe, vielleicht ist eine „off-time“ aber auch mal gut auf dem Rad. Alles in allem, super Bundle - Wahoo macht hier einen sehr guten Job.

Superó con creces mis expectativas

Cambié de polar a wahoo por lo limitado del ecosistema polar, con wahoo me sorprendió la i tentación de todos su elementos, es súper práctico y fácil de usar, la compatibilidad con las apps que uso (Strava y relieve) es un plus que se agradece, incluye accesorios súper útiles como el soporte para manubrio o para colocar el ciclo computador en la potencia, compré un soporte extra pensando que este paquete no lo incluía (por suerte ese pedido nunca llegó porque no era necesario) así que fue buena sorpresa cuando llegó. Lo utilizo con un rodillo tacx (que espero pronto poder cambiar también por uno wahoo) y aunque no puedo aprovechar aún todas sus funciones me ha resultado muy práctico. La integración con el wahoo ELEMNT rival es muy útil, intuitiva y práctica, totalmente recomendado ????????????????????????

Einfach, intuitiv, top Preis/Leistung

Der Wahoo Bolt v2 ist ein sehr gute und vor allem sehr intuitiver Fahrradcomputer. Er lässt sich easy einrichten und auch mit Routen betanken. Das Account-Mapping zu Strava und Komoot sind auch in wenigen Sekunden eingerichtet. Ich kann den Radcomputer nur empfehlen. Ich habe ihn dennoch nicht behalten, da er mir schlichtweg ein wenig zu klein ist und ich eher der User bin, der einen Touchscreen bevorzugt. Das Koppeln mit meinen Garmin-Sensoren hat leider nicht so wirklich funktioniert bzw. war die Verbindung nicht Stabil. Im Training ist des Öfteren die Verbindung des Speed-Sensors und der Brustgurtes abgerissen, wodurch ich keine konstante Aufzeichnung erhalten habe. Ansonsten ist das Gerät wirklich sehr sehr gut und würde deshalb auch keinen Stern abziehen. Vielleicht war das Verbindungsproblem ein User-Fehler. Das Problem sitzt bekanntlich vor dem Gerät :D Entschieden habe ich mich letztendlich für den Karoo 2 von Hammerhead, der natürlich auch nicht perfekt ist :D

Einfach genial

Wie erwartet bin ich sehr zu frieden. Gut ablesbares und kontrastreiches Display auch bei Nacht. Einfache Menüführung trotz umfangreicher Funktionen. Die Sensoren funktionieren auf Anhieb. Auch die App mit der Möglichkeit Strava und Komoot (und weitere) zu synchronisieren sind für mich perfekt. Ich habe noch nicht alles ausprobiert aber ich bin sehr optimistisch und freue mich auf die nächste Ausfahrt. Ich bin Laie und kein Profisportler.
