Good quality jackstands I trust

Quality jackstands i trust for a fair price

Deep V makes it useless for my car

I bought these jack stands for 2 reasons. First is that the corners are reinforced with a flat base, which not only is good for stability, but allows you to set it on boards if working in the lawn outside without worrying that sharp corners are going to dig in and possibly split the boards under the weight of the vehicle. I am not at all disappointed by the quality of the jack stands. The second, and why I'm giving these jack stands a 3-star instead of 5 star review, is that I also selected these because the picture showed a shallow V profile, which would allow me to use these jack stands on both my compact car and my SUV. While I have used these jack stands with my SUV, this was the first time I was about to set my car on 4 jack stands, and so today I pulled these OTC stands along with a pair of differently branded ones, and realized the profile of the OTC stands would not work for my car. I wish I paid more attention when I bought them two years ago.

Great stands, but a bit disappointed in the saddle.

As expected these stands hold up to OTC quality. Fit, finish, materials and operation is among the best (and yes, welds are flawless). The only downside (for me) is the saddle. This S03 supersedes the 5372 3-Ton Stinger stands and I was delighted to see the advertising image displays a less V-shaped saddle (like those found on the 6-Ton Stingers). Unfortunately, as can be seen in my picture, the S03s I received have the overly aggressive pinch-weld-favoring deep V saddle that I was intentionally attempting to avoid. 5 stars for quality, 3 stars for saddle change vs. advertised = 4 stars.

these seem very solid and beautifully made

There's only a few companies I'm willing to trust my life to. Snap-on and Mac also make great jackstands. Those cost way more though. These are beautifully made, finished, and welded. When I crawl under my truck, I always trust that they are doing their job. They're trustworthy and gorgeous too! They're just nice to hold and admire. Good tools are always worth the money.

V Grove in saddle is deeper than shown in picture.

Quality and packaging is miles above any made in china item I have ever received. No ripped or torn cardboard or damage of any kind. Fit and finish is flawless. V grove in Saddle is not as shown in Amazons picture, it is deeper and more aggressive.

Top quality OTC product.

Excellent set of jack stands, quality is number one. I always look for a top brand item when it comes to my safety while working underneath my vehicle.
