Works Great on Craftsman Lawnmower Model No. 917-376301.

My trusty Craftsman 22" Lawnmower has been slowly dying with an engine that would rev up and down and eventually die. Interestingly, I could keep the mower running if I could just keep pressing the primer bulb, so I figured there was a problem with the fuel feed on the carburetor. I took apart the original carburetor and cleaned it, but noticed red plastic main nozzle tube in the center did not ride up and down on the spring. The rubber gasket around it appeared worn and loose. I cleaned the original carburetor and replaced it, but nothing worked. I was looking to just replace the main nozzle tube, when I came upon this item. I noticed the Oregon 49-240 Kit had a brass main fuel nozzle, instead of a plastic one. I figured the float and rest of the parts would need replacing soon, so I ordered the entire assembly. I am not a mechanic and have never repaired an engine before. Using only a small flat head screwdriver, first pry the float retainer bar off then, remove the original float, nozzle tube and gasket. Hardest part was detaching gas line and draining gas. Then reattach the new float bowl being careful to line up the gasket and holes correctly. Use the same small screwdriver to push down on the retainer bar and reattach bowl and you are good to go! I did pry off the retainer ring of the primer bulb but after inspecting the original bulb and the replacement bulb, I decided the original bulb looked better and re-installed it, instead of the replacement bulb. Oh! I did use carburetor cleaner with the fine spray tube to spray the carburetor hole where the main nozzle fits and the holes exposed when the primer bulb is removed. My lawnmower works like new! Single pull start and runs smooth and steady. I suspect the brass nozzle tube will work much better than the original plastic one. This is a great replacement product and replacing the carburetor bowl and nozzle is an easy DIY project.

Runs great now.

Installed it in 10 minutes and mower started right up. Fixed the issue I was having where the mower wouldn't start - then after cleaning the old carb would start for 1 second and die. Runs great now.

Disapointed in. Idaho

This was the part I needed but needle valve and float wouldn't let any fuel in the bowl and I had to bend the float to make it work also I paid for two day shipping for the filter and bowl assembly. They split the order two days for the air filter I don't need to fix the mower and ten days for the bowl assembly which I still had to modify to mow my severely over grown lawns
