Trimmer head

Echo speed freak reccomend, but I never used the correct string size for this trimmer head and drilled new holes in different places for over sized string I used.

Much better than a Kwik head or bump-feed head.

This is a simple aluminum disc with no moving parts. I drilled out the holes to use .155 line. Just thread 1 piece of line sixteen inches long through the holes and start whacking. I use Echo .155 line on a Honda 4 cycle 35cc brushcutter.

A bit heavy for most homeowner's trimmers

I appreciate that this head can take 0.13 trimmer line. But...the head is heavy. Given what I know now, I probably would not buy the head again.

Great but needs mods. Any idiot can use it!

Would have given a 5 star but the washers didn't work with my sthil fs 250 and had to fabricate some. Also the holes will not readily accept 0.130 line as advertised but a quick trip with a drill bit clearance the unit to stellar performer. Simple and rugged! need a little more hardware...

Weed Whacker Performance Improvement

No more plastic shredded line feed mechanisms in a self feeding line head. I can cut small woody stems and briars easily..Much of my terrain is hilly with numerous rocks. A stens head makes weed whacking quick and easy with the large diameter line that can be used with this trimmer head..

Exactly what I wanted.

Quality made, should last about forever. Works great, Saves line over the bump and go heads, has good balance and is very light weight.

Very easy to use and pretty much bullit proof.

I have a large weed whacker. I am older than I will admit in writing. I had trouble rewinding the bump feed mechanism. I bought this trimmer head and 150 ft of .130 string. Piddled about a little getting the proper string length. Cut a bunch of pieces of string and went to town on the weeds. It only takes a minute to load a new length of string. Probably use more string with this setup than with the bump feed, but I save a lot more time than struggling with bump start. Highly reccomend stens.
