nice and loud
I like this better than any of the cheaper homedics fountains so far. Out of the box without any rocks added, the water sound is loud (a good thing!). The water pours to the front because the cup is slanted forwards, no ammount of tilting will make it come out the sides. The lights are very bright and of course covered by the water flowing over it, it lights up the whole room nicely. Adding the rocks can actually quiet down the water noise or also make it more pronounced. Its all about how you set them up. As far as looks, it looks great and is higher quality than cheaper fountans. The cup even looks ceramic. Which it is not. The aged look should last a long time in our house. The pump is quieter than cheaper fountains, this could be compounded by the fact that this fountain needs more water than others. Dont forget to wash out the fountain first of any dust that might get into the pump. Use only distilled water, if you use tap water, this will wreck the pump quickly. This goes for any fountain! Update: one of the lights burnt out, leaving 3 left. Being LEDs, they should never burn out so I suspect it shorted out.

LED lights DO NOT change color
The fountain itself looks nice and the stream also looks nice. It is lighted which is nice, but the colors do not change. The description says that the LED lights change color, which they do not. There are four small LED lights that only illuminate white light. Of the three water streams, one of them go crooked which does look a bit bad. The watery sound is nice. I would have loved it if this fountain indeed had color changing LEDs but it doesn't. Kudos to Amazon who gave me a partial refund of eight bucks for the lights, so excellent customer service on Amazon's behalf. Get the fountain itself if you don't care about the color changing lights. 5/5 if I would have expected white lights, and 3/5 now that I was expecting color changing LEDs.

Nice....
This fountain is one of the nicest that I have found...and this is after an extensive search for a non-cheesy desk fountain. It was quick to assemble. I does make noise sometimes, but I found that if it is a loud noise, it just means that you need to add more water (the pump needs to be fully submerged). Sometimes there is a light buzz when the pump leans on any part of the underside of the fixture, so this is a problem to adjust. But keep wiggling it and it should be ok. The water evaporates really quickly in my home, but I am sure its just the climate here. Overall, you will not find a fountain that looks better than this (unless you like typical cheesy fountains). So buy it and be patient with it. Aloha!

Does its job
I was surprised at the size, I was expecting it to be alittle bigger but it does what it needs to do. The sound of the water isnt as loud as I had hoped for. I use distilled water to prolong the life of the pump and need to refill it about once a week. The rocks that come with it are tiny and I havent found a good lay out for them to allow for the light in the fountain to glow and still allow sound of running water. All in All a good water feature for the home.

Must have been a mistake.
The object I thought I ordered and the object I received were different, and this must have been a mistake. Oh sure, it looked like the picture--just had a remarkably cheaper appearance in reality. The plastic is a brownish hue with orange and green paint overtones. The interior and water spouts are cheaply fabricated. The left-most spout dribbles when the pump is put on low, whereas the right spout is well pressurized. The pump itself works; it's just that while working, it also produces a loud enough humming/buzzing/grinding noise to overtake the sound of the water. And since the left spout dribbles and sprays, the water sound isn't soothing anyhow. I was excited to relax to the soothing sounds of this fountain, but instead found that once operational, the fountain works best at raising anxieties and frustrations. I messed around with this thing for about an hour trying to fix all of the qualities I disliked, but to no avail. So, if you're in the market for an object that will be slightly more obnoxious than your neighbors' kids, then this is the fountain for you!

Cheap appearance, bad water flow and broke too quickly.
The appearance is not very good. I was expecting something that really closely resembled stone. It's very obviously plastic and the paint isn't so spectacular. The bowl is nice, though. It comes with some stones to place as well. My biggest complaint was that it would spill water, just very small drips though, but constant enough that I had little bits of water all around. Then I'd have to put more water in it. The nozzles at the top would occasionally just spray, like the tubing got some air in it or something. I could never resolve this issue and tried reseating it frequently. I always kept the pump submersed and filled with water and one day it finally had enough and simply gave up. I thought I'd just replace the pump, but I haven't yet because I don't want to have to continue filling and dealing with water droplets surrounding the fountain. Not money well spent, very frustrated and should have just returned it early on.

Spits water at times......
Sometimes it just spits water.....not very relaxing plus after shipping ended up being half the price of the fountain I paid $30 for fountain and $20 for shipping it's just not worth it and If I were to return it it would be another $20......just ridiculous. Plus mine never came with any stones to place or nothing......just plastic

Ore indoor fountain
I ordered this product and it has been used less than 3 weeks and has issues, it spits water from one of the drip spouts and just drips and makes grinding noises when the water comes out. Worked great for a few weeks, has a loud buzzning noise as well and colors on cup are bright green not what is shown, the paint is also already bubbling and coming off. I have used distilled water and purified water as requested. I have paid less for fountains and they have lasted almost a year. Never had one wear out in 2 and half weeks of use. Would not recommend, maybe a bad batch manufactured

The pump gets pretty loud over time
Love the design and concept of it. The construction and assembling is not very solid and precise, but its acceptable. The pump gets pretty loud after the first two hours of operation.

Poor Quality
I'm disappointed with the quality of this product. This is the second fountain I've ordered from this company, and the third that I've received, after having to send back a defective one. This particular fountain has arrived sporting a leak in the upper part of the fountain which drips from the corner. This is not a problem that has developed while the product was en-route. The fountain looks like it does in the picture, and it's nice visually, but the quality just isn't there, it seems cheap.

Waste of money
Do not waste your money on this product. It worked OK for the first 3 hours. Then the 3rd spout to the left stopped flowing. The pump is not strong enough to flow the water properly even when it is on full speed. I blew compressed air through the tubes thinking they could be clogged. The air went through evenly. In the garbage it goes.

Dont know why this only has a 3.5 rating...because if I am to be really honest I chose this one buy the picture I saw here...and it looks much better on my shelf...so I rated this a 5 because it did surprise me...was not expecting more and I got that...so I gave it a 5 star...good work Ore International
